Which server are you applying for?
SCP-RP USA
Do you have a microphone?
Yes, I have a microphone. I also have TeamSpeak wholly set up.
List all the whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles you've held.
The role that I wear with a badge of honor is Executive Researcher. It's my crowning achievement of how far I've come. Since achieving the role of Executive Researcher, I haven't played another job since. I'm dedicated to the serious roleplay I experience as an Executive, and I wish to extend it further as an Assistant.
My position as an Internal Affairs Operative got me hooked on serious roleplay scenarios. This position allowed me to study and apply the Legal Codex, Code of Ethics, and Code of Conduct in an impactful way that I loved.
I've also had a brief stint as a Senior Doctor and Guard. As a result, I'm a very well-rounded candidate, having worked in several departments while on the server.
Have you received any warnings, bans, or kicks, and if so, why?
Unfortunately, I received around three warnings, a byproduct of my newness to the server. These warnings were almost two months ago, back in July. These few warnings were FailRP and Hitbox Abuse. When I first joined, I was still very used to the fast-paced environment of an FPS game, so I instinctually crouched during combat. I don't remember the other FailRP warnings. I haven't received a warning for almost two months as I keep myself regularly informed about the SCP-RP USA server rulings.
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?
I'm applying for the Ethics Committee Assistant position for many reasons that stem from my experiences over the past few months. I respect and admire numerous outstanding Ethics Committee Assistants gracefully, but sadly, they aren't as active as I am. I've written around three documents this week that required Ethics Committee approval, yet I once had to wait nearly two days to get an Ethics Committee representative to sign it. This gap is a fundamental flaw that I wish to patch as there aren't any Ethics Committee representatives in my time window while I and many others are playing.
Let's move away from why I am applying and discuss my suitability for the Assistant position. There are a multitude of reasons as to why I am suited for this position and how I'm going to excel in it.
Commitment to Roleplay
As an Executive Researcher, and even before then, I've focused on creating and maintaining a serious roleplay environment for all parties. I've participated in countless events and roleplay scenarios. As an IA Operative, I participated in and helped facilitate many tribunals. Furthermore, as an Executive Researcher, I've participated in countless events regarding new SCPs, the most notable being SCP-610. I've also helped, overseen, and facilitated many tests for Senior Researchers that they wouldn't have been able to do otherwise, helping them experience a serious roleplay experience. I'm well-known in my department as a dependable and outgoing Executive Researcher who would bend backward to review and sign a document. I often let Senior Researchers and Researchers shadow my experiments to obtain knowledge and assist me in my endeavors. To wrap up this section, I have experience creating and maintaining serious roleplay scenarios and integrating many others into these scenarios.
Experiences with the Ethics Committee
As an Executive Researcher, I often collaborate with the Ethics Committee to have them review and approve my and my fellow researchers' documents. At one point, I met with Ethics once or twice a day for about two to three days straight regarding document approval. From my experience as an IA agent and an Executive Researcher, I'm very familiar with the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Legal Codex. I've conducted dozens of arrests, gotten around four to five chemical trials in humans approved by Ethics, and performed safely. These trials had a 0% mortality rate for Class D. I've even continued the work of others in my department who have since left by continuing their work on ethical lethal injection drugs, all while being compliant with Ethics.
Collaborations with Other Departments & People
As an Executive Researcher, I have performed many experiments in collaboration with the Department of Medicine. These experiments were incredibly unique and fun for all parties. Consultants and Senior Doctors are encouraged to participate in my experiments to monitor and stabilize Class D if they're harmed during a chemical experiment. Furthermore, I'm incredibly collaborative with people; I've worked on many projects and experiments with a Sr. Researcher shadowing me to learn and experience the SCP firsthand rather than through a piece of paper.
Leadership and Dedication
As of writing this, I was also in-game participating in a remodeling of the Research Department classroom. A Researcher, Playceholder Mcdoctorate, was running throughout the Research Wing screaming and pointing finger guns at people. After his continued minge-y actions, a fellow Executive and I detained him and attempted to issue a job ban. He left. We contacted a sit and resolved the situation. This situation exemplifies my leadership ability; I can make fair, merciful judgments. Initially, I would give this Researcher a 3-hour job ban so they'd hopefully learn their lesson. We then called IA and discovered they had a keycard they shouldn't have had. I was going to increase the job ban to two to three days. But he left. Even though we were incredibly patient and forgiving about his blatant disrespect for the Code of Conduct, he'd prefer an actual ban rather than a moderate job ban. I can make the correct decisions and calls based on situations while remaining merciful. My friend Abdul Lanahan was reading this Researcher the Legal Codex and Code of Conduct, but unfortunately, the Researcher didn't want to stick around.
Furthermore, I'm a dedicated player. I play from 4 pm to 12 am daily, even on weekdays. I am a hard-working Executive Researcher, and I help keep our Research Department going. I wish to expand this by becoming an Assistant to assist others outside of Research.
What are some of the responsibilities of an Ethics Committee Assistant in RP?
1. Accurately assist in and execute orders by the Ethics Committee Members or Chairman.
2. Uphold the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics by assisting Internal Affairs with their endeavors.
3. Meeting with Research personnel to review and sign documents.
4. Obtain useful information and inform the rest of the Ethics Committee about specific events or situations.
5. Reviewing and authorizing work permits for Class D. (mainly Duke)
6. Conduct interviews and reviews on other departments on behalf of the Ethics Committee.
7. Appropriately authorizing the Advanced Armory to specific groups of security and MTF.
8. Represent the Ethics Committee in a professional and friendly manner.
9. Ensure personal security by remaining covertly disguised or being escorted by O-1.
10. Review and authorize appropriate calls for KOS past airlock.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in.
