22

In what country are you located?:
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island.

Time zone:
BST

Character name(s):
Jimmy Wrecking

Civilian name:
Jimmy Pizza Jr

What server are you applying for?:
SCPRP-UK

Do you have a mic?:
Yes.

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Executive Researcher
Site Advisor
Site Director

Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?:
No official punishments of any kind.

What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):

The Overseer position I am applying for is O5-7, with the codename “The Remembered”. I am applying for this specific position because I believe I would be able to fulfil the legacy left by the previous member.

With this specific position, I would hope to oversee how research is run due to my background being an Executive Researcher and the Site Admin who also oversaw research; I would be able to apply my skills to enable myself to ensure research remains in a good place. However, I can understand if research is already being overseen by a different overseer, and I am more than happy to overlook a different department.

What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:

I would be a great candidate for a member of the O5 Council due to my previous experiences I have learnt from, such as Executive Researcher, Site Admin and Site Director. I would be able to take and use these experiences I gained to assist me in becoming the best member of O5 that I can.I would be able to take and use these experiences I gained to assist me in becoming the best member of O5 that I can.

Executive ResearcherSite AdvisorSite Director
During my time as an executive researcher, I was tasked with running the research task force Sigma-1, in which this taught me the best way to approach situations between people, and assist them with picking a solution or compromise to a problem they may have had. As well as this, I learnt how to interact with people of all ages, sizes, etc, and teach them in a manner that would allow them to continue on and become an upstanding member of the foundation.
When I was an Advisor, I learnt how to manage conflict between departments and how to resolve them; for example, the brief period of time when Nu7 and E-11, were both down the throats of each other. I managed to work alongside the relative commanders of each regiment, and suggested ways to resolve this issue. I also learnt how to deal with many different situations regarding whether I had many MTF units at my command; for instance, I managed to save a member of the O5 Council from CI with only around 4-5 MTF at my disposal. We managed to rescue him without losing him or any information he may have had.
Being a Site Director has taught me the importance of ensuring your own team is happy, as without a happy team, nothing gets done. When I first became a Site Director, I had a few issues: lack of Advisors, unfamiliarity with different departments & the directors, and quite a few documents that needed to be written and introduced. I solved the first problem pretty quickly by posting adverts around the site which drove up interest to becoming a site admin; the second problem I fixed by just talking to the directors, and I am now 100% familiar with how other departments works and are run (I was only around 90% when I became a Site Advisor). This last problem I solved by delegating the workload to my other advisors. (There was 20+ documents to produce at the start).

What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:

Within RP, the responsibilities of an O5 Council member is to ensure that the facility is running smoothly; this also includes:
  • Monitoring the operations of the facility.
  • Monitoring the health of the site.
  • Ensuring that policies are being followed and upheld.
  • Manage the departments alongside the Department Directors.
  • Ensure that the Site Advisors and Site Directors are working for the good of the facility.

Furthermore, the O5 council is responsible for working alongside the ethics committee when it is necessary to do so. Also, the O5 Council are expected to assist in the creation of site-wide roleplay aspects, or just within 2-3 different departments.

The O5 council are also responsible for the management and overseeing of the site security, be that Gensec all the way to deciding if it is time to initiate a Code Black or the detonation of a warhead should the foundation lose control over the situation in regards to SCP breaches or any other means of losing control of the site.

What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council outside of RP?:

Outside of Roleplay, the O5 Council are expected to maintain a high standard in which others can follow within the community and should not be breaking server rules. As well as that, the O5 Council are to participate within the Team Speak server for any meetings, be that for policy updates, or to vote on proposals.

The O5 Council are also required to handle applications for the following foundation staff members:
  • Department Directors for Intelligence, Research, and Internal Affairs (alongside Ethics for IA)
  • Overseer assistants.
  • Site Administrations.
  • Chief of Security
  • O5 Council Members

Please give some lore about your O5 characters and what storylines they would be involved in:

Please note that this lore is set in a time where Site Director Jimmy Wrecking was deemed MIA during a 682 test and his body was never publicly recovered.
One night, within the dark and gloomy halls of the foundation, with desks and chairs sprawled out, not a single floor tile could be seen; papers littered the floor. A researcher, clad in the recognisable pearl white lab coat crept around silently, hoping that whatever had created this mess, was long gone, perhaps even onto the cold surface, far away from where he stood, alone. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a door ajar, a door that had forever been locked by a much higher clearance level than his own. When he asked his superiors about what was behind here, the very people he thought would know about such a room, the only response that was ever given to him was one of confusion.

Curiosity got the best of him; he had the unofficial motto of ‘don’t ask questions, don’t go where you’re not supposed to go’ drilled into him, ever since he started working at the foundation not long ago. In fact, he could never recall a time when he didn't work for the foundation. Every day; he just woke up within the bunks, got dressed, had the usual breakfast, and went right to testing. Every day he had done this monotonous routine, never questioning it. Perhaps that's why he thought today would be different, as he quietly entered the mystery room…

The smell, this was the first thing that hit him; decades of old paper lined the halls. The pungent smell filled his nostrils; it was inescapable. The racks of paper went up and up, each filed up to the top of the room, at least what seemed to be the top. Bright lights illuminated the walls and the racks with them. On closer inspection, the racks went far past the lights, as tall as Big Ben, he thought to himself. Strange how this was such a low facility. Probably using some kind of anomalous room, perhaps this facility was built around it. However, he would never know.

Looking at all the boxes, there was one that caught his eye, labelled “SCP-006-2”. This caught his eye for a few reasons; one being the fact that it seemed to have had a lock around the box it was stored in. By this point, the lock was falling apart; a breath from mother nature could break it by this point. With a small tap, the lock splits open. Allowing himself to easily reach in and pick up a document, one labelled “Jimmy Wrecking, Public Document.”, as he opened up the document, he would never believe what he saw.
[ VIEW JIMMY WRECKING PUBLIC DOCUMENT ]

The researcher was surprised to see a document like this was still around, as he heard stories about Site Director Jimmy Wrecking, and the unfortunate demise he had faced while doing that test at 682. He was very confused, however, as to why there was a Jimmy Wrecking document, within the SCP-006-2 storage box… and what even was SCP-006. In all his short time as a researcher, he had never heard of it.

Wondering if there were any more clues to this mystery, the researcher decided to search through the box, and to his surprise, he saw another document that he was sure would have been misplaced, such as the Jimmy Wrecking document he saw before. This new document, titled just ‘The lost boy’ had the researcher even more confused. Why would a document about a lost kid even be with this document, he decided to read on more to find out why.

Before he could even open the document, a loud sound came from the hallway. Quickly darting in between two of the storage racks to remain hidden, he saw a large lizard-like creature, prowling around. His skin seemed to have almost melted off. Dripping.
“... I can smell you…” the lizard bellowed. The researcher held his breath, praying that whatever this thing was, it was only temporary.
“... I remember this smell…” the creature grumbled. Clearly focused on its prey. The monster kept on pacing around this store house. Eventually leaving back through the door it came from, leaving a red light to blink into the halls of this archive. The researcher, feeling safe enough, decided to start reading this document.

The researcher was strongly confused, mostly about the part about how the lake had the property of health. Something this valuable wouldn't just be kept from the public, right? This could cure cancer. This could solve all the world's problems… These overseer council guys seem like jerks, he thought to himself.

I wonder if there was anything else within this document, the researcher questioned, and as expected, another single document was laid out before him, titled “SCP-006-2”. This must be the document that the box was kept safe. This weak security was all for this. The researcher listened carefully; gunshots could be heard in the far distance. Perhaps they were shooting at that thing… with all its menacing teeth. Good luck, he chuckled to himself, glad I’m in here.

As he was about to start reading the document, a faint breathing could be heard from the halls around him, but the researcher decided to ignore it, as it was most likely his own echo. The researcher reached down and picked up the SCP-006-2 document, excitedly awaiting what was inside; I am so getting amnesicized for this, he thought to himself, as he started to read the document.
[ VIEW SCP-006-2 FILE ]

The researcher was flabbergasted, his top lip quivering as he recalled what he read. Too shocked to even think for himself, the only thing he could whisper was, “But I’m Yura Nonsaki…”

“Quite right.” A distant voice echoed, “You are Yura Nonsaki, you are Jimmy Wrecking, you are Mike Teardrop, and you are Freddie Strange. But most importantly, you are ours.”.

“Agh!” Yura shouted in surprise, “Who are you?”

“One of the people who initiated this. Yes, a member of the overseer council. You may call me… ███████. Yes, that should suffice.” ███████ explained, “We. as I’m sure you can guess, have been watching you carefully, and due to your time as a Site Director…”

“Uh-huh, I think I get it.” Yura replied.

“No you don’t.” ███████ said. “We make sure of that. Anyway, as it seems you have learnt a bit of information… I guess we may skip the formalities. We want you to join us. You have skills that we require, you have shown us that with your time in Site Admin, you are someone to be trusted and to depend upon. I will give you a choice.”

███████ holds out 2 different syringes. They explain that one will allow him to remember everything from his past cycles, and the other will have him forget everything and resume life as a simple member of the foundation, not knowing more.

“You have 2 paths you can take in this. And only two.” ███████ tells Yura.

As this is said, armed guards enter the room, disallowing any attempt of escape.

“I will assume that you know if you attempt to run, you will have also chosen the second option,” ███████ explained, “since you belong to us, and for the meantime, cannot die.”

“May I have a moment to think about this?” Yura pleaded.
“Not much to think about if you ask me,” ███████ replied, “theres a whole world of information that you can reach with just this one choice, I hope you make the right one.”

Yura sits with his head in his hands.

“I think I’m ready to make my choice.” Yura said confidently.

“Good, let's get started shall we?”

In all honesty there is no reason why he shouldn't become a 0-5 in my opinion, I made "-Hasn't Sucked off an Nu-7 Commander yet, the reason why Igorski was a better SD was because of this" although this is more of a +Support Lol.
Anyhow, any - I gave was jokingly and I'vd noticed him be even more Professional in recent memory.
