What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Add hands swep which has shove ability (or integrate the shove ability into gestures, or replace gravity gun with something more realistic like hands with grab, shove etc).

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Don't think so

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- D class able to move people blocking specific areas out the way.
- Everyone able to shove people out the way if they're blocking doors or gaps without needing to cuff them.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Potential for minge, but this can be mitigated by adding cooldown or minimising distance people get shoved.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This should be accepted because its a small thing that makes a big difference, it isn't substantial to create as I made the one in video in 10 minutes, and it will make certain scenarios just a little bit less annoying like as d class if someone is blocking showers etc.

I don't really think there's much benefit to this being added - bodyblocking and blocking doors can already be handled by staff if it becomes a staff issue (i.e bodyblocking without a riot shield out)
Of course it can, but the point is to reduce the need to call staff for things like this. And usually by the time a staff is able to attend, the person has probably moved.

+Overwhelming Conditional Support
On the condition that this functionality is added to the 096 SWEP where anyone bodyblocking an enraged 096 gets auto-shoved. The amount of bodyblocking I experience during 096 breaches is INSANE. I'm tempted to start a "Days since last bodyblock during an 096 breach" counter because holy fuck is it annoying Nvm I did, see sig :skull: It'll get removed if and when we get a content-based solution to it, like this. I honestly need to get off my ass and start aggressively clipping and opening tickets for it because this gets to me something fierce.

The fact of the matter is that the rules against blocking are extremely unenforceable. Lag, latency, intent, coincidence, etc. You can't reasonably enforce when someone is deliberately bodyblocking someone, especially in the case of 096 to try and bucket it, because players need to be able to bucket 096 during a breach. Even if this ability isn't given to normal roles, there is absolutely ZERO sense in being able to jump in front of an enraged 096 rushing towards a target at full speed and just stopping it dead in its tracks, so you can cram the bucket onto its head. If you bodyblock an enraged 096 that is running at you, you should be ragdolled for a few seconds, similar to how being hit by the 8854 SWEP works, and take a tiny bit of damage.

EDIT: If people bodyblock other breaching SCPs, guess what? They can just fucking kill them. 049, 076, 106, 682, 8837, examples of SCPs that during a breach, can very easily deal with bodyblocking. 096 is unique in this because if someone decides to purposely get in its way, 095 can't do shit about it - And as I said, it's hard to action unless it's clearly and overtly deliberate. I think 096 should be brought in line with other SCPs so that people don't get to get away with this anymore, and I think this is the way to do it.

EDIT 2: And there are a lot of situations as 096 where people can bodyblock me, I can clip it, but it turns out they can't be identified and punished (or at the very least, it's really really hard), especially because of the 096 visual filter (that I'm still waiting on being either toned down or removed 😭 ) that helps to obscure names.

This is, without a doubt, my single BIGGEST PET PEEVE with playing on the server right now. And I don't blame specific people for it (unless they explicitly bodyblock for the express purpose of bucketing, but again, extremely difficult to enforce). But I have never felt this strongly about a gripe I have before.

Please CT, see this and genuinely actually look into the feasibility of doing specifically this if OP's original idea of the shove SWEP and having that be available to everyone isn't doable.

Back from my tirade and to the original idea, I agree that abuse would be a problem. But also, there's the whole SWEPs entity count thing. A short while ago, there was a mass culling of not-strictly-necessary SWEPs from loadouts, because SWEPs on players count towards the entity limit. So if 10 people are running around with 5 SWEPs, that's 50 entities. Probably not exactly? But you get the general idea. So a new single-purpose SWEP like this I think would be a concern there.

If anything, this could be rolled into being part of some "makes more RP sense" gravity-gun replacement SWEP type deal, where you have gravity gun functions and a shove function. Or you could make it part of the Gestures SWEP, even in the interim. Adding tons of single-purpose SWEPs is not really a good idea.

Really good idea! In my mind I intended it to be apart of an existing swep, but with lack of a hands swep, the gestures or gravity gun integration is smart. Thanks for sharing.

+Super passive agressive/conditional neutral vote leaning into unconditional 5/25’s of a +Support/+-Support

would probably cause lag if lots of d class are pushing eachother away and dev time that might not be worth it, but plotting a d block escape and standing in the airlock door waiting for the lonely cadet and researcher to open the door and suddently 3 A1, 2 combat medics and 4 officers enter d block and for me to not be able to abort because there’s 5 fatass dclass standing in line behind me pisses my trigger finger off
