Site 65 Lore

Theme
Foundation
When I first joined, one of my first thoughts was, "Why are all the major SCPs gathered in one site?" And why site 65 of all places? I've asked around and never really gotten an answer. So I figured I'd just write some myself and see how everyone likes it.

Also, these are going to be centered around the events of SCP:CB, due to the immense lore of that, and I can write on top of it.

I'm going to do this SCP-001 style, so I'll do 3 2 different submissions.

So when you are typing either +Support, Neutral, or -Support, please make sure to say "+Support Submission 1."

Submission 1: "One Last Stand"

For this theory, it is to assume that every other site in the close vicinity let's just say 5 countries has been decimated by the Chaos Insurgency or containment breaches. It is no longer safe to transport the SCPs on a larger scale than this, due to security risks and the one big risk of the public finding out about the SCP Foundation. Therefore, Site 65 has been set up with extra security and located in No Man's Land, except for the little village, of course. It's situated in the middle of nowhere.

So, just to clarify, we are going based off SCP: Containment Breach lore.

After the Modular Site Incident and the disappearance of D-9341, the Foundation had to move the SCPs to a more secure facility. Previously, Site 65 had been a site primarily based on the idea that if everything went wrong, the Foundation's last stand would be here. This is due to Site 65's massive size and tightened security.

The moving of the SCPs attracted attention from the Chaos Insurgency and the Global Occult Coalition, hence the reason for the Chaos Insurgency erecting a base in their attempt to bring down the Foundation. What the Chaos Insurgency doesn't know is that this Foundation is the last stand, at least for a while, while the other facilities rebuild. (If you're cheeky, you can sneak in Site 9 here, because it's being "rebuilt.")

Submission 2: "Angry O5"

It's a beautiful day outside, birds are singing, flowers are blooming. On days like these, foundations like us should be having a great time.

It's a great day for the Foundation at Site 65, Site 65 is almost finished being built! The workers are happy, the researchers are moving into their offices. And the O5 Council is having a meeting.

The day is going so great that nothing could possibly go wrong, even with the previous failures of different sites due to raids. The O5 Council has full trust in the Modular Project. Then something happens.

The O5 are informed of a breach in the Modular Site facility, and it's not anything small, it's SCP-106. The O5 get access to the cameras of Site-CB and notice that they've already recontained SCP-106, but the camera feed cuts.

They try to get in contact with the site, when they get the alert: "Total Containment Breach." "Oh, shittings," says O5-4, as they immediately go into a panicked state. "We have almost every dangerous SCP there, what do we do?!" says O5-3. Then O5-1 steps up and says, "We have this site. It might not be finished, but the workers said it will be finished within the hour. We're going to run the final tests and immediately dispatch E-11 to go collect and recontain the containment breach, and afterward we will bring them here."

O5-2 speaks up and says, "But chief... we haven't finished the power system and the keycard system yet. I mean, yes, it's functional, but it could still fail! We need more time to make sure it will work, otherwise we could risk breaches!" O5-1 gets visibly angry: "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! I WOULD RATHER RISK A CONTAINMENT BREACH AT OUR MOST SECURE FACILITY THAN HAVE SOMEONE SEE 096, LEADING TO AN ENTIRE COUNTRY BEING LEVELED AND OUR SECRECY EXPOSED." Afterward, O5-2 and the rest of the council agreed with O5-1.

The site was finished, and the recontainment procedure was commenced. However, what they weren't expecting was that the Chaos Insurgency was also there. When D-9341 escaped, he was greeted by the Chaos Insurgency. Two Chaos agents started opening fire, and afterward a third agent fired a tracking bullet and hit one of the E-11's shoes. This allowed the Chaos Insurgency to track them to Site-65, where they would build their chemical production facility to produce bombs and continue to try and fail at raiding Site 65.

(Okay, that's the end of Submission 2. This one is more centered around the O5 wanting maximum security. I know it has some things in common with Submission 1, but bear with me.)

Submission 3 (SCRAPPED SO DONT TAKE SERIOUSLY)

Okay, if you actually read all of this wowzers, thank you very much. Please do leave your tips in the comments, and let me know if you want me to spin a story on something. I love storyboarding and making fictional stories, so if you're not much of a writer yourself, you can always just ask me and I'll see if I can whip something up.

I spent a grand total of about 14 hours storyboarding this.

I know there isn't a lot, but on the other side, I don't want people getting bored, and there's only so much I can write about SCPs being relocated. Personally, I don't want to have to rewrite all the SCP lore around Site 65 just to make a story, since it would be way too long and take way too much time.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy. Please leave whatever criticism you have, but keep it friendly, please. :)

I figured this site acts as a bulwark for protection and research. SCPs not always being on the job, I would always say IC, that they are "transferred" off site to some other site for a testing or something. This theory seems plausible to me, considering this facility is MASSIVE. Also why CI are invested in this location by deploying a base so close.

Thats a great theory, idk why i didnt think of that. It makes sense, but i dont see it working long term.
