What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
just a couple ideas i have. That will help make karma decay bearable. if it's never going to be removed.

1. add an toggle option if you want decay on.

2. trustee/escape risk should be karma range 80-100
- this should already be a thing. but it would heavily help. instead, it'll take two days instead of one. to de-rank dclass status

3. decay should always decrease down to the nearest number with ending with zero.
- adds more consistency especially when getting credited is always 10. Also makes it you dont go under quickly.

4. it should take a full 24 hours to lose karma.

5. remove it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- like isn't going from a trusted trustee with tons of recognition. To a murderes high security/escape risk. or a escape risk that known for killing gensec a lot. Wants to fully change their ways to a moral being. Add way more roleplaying situations to dclass.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion (AT least 2):
None
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
after a long day working your nine to five. you have hope on your favorite server (🧪😮‍💨) scprp. play your favorite regiment D-class. you see that you lost karma and de-ranked to low security. You sigh and say to yourself "thats fine ill just get one credit from a researcher for trustee again". But then you noticed at the bottom of the screen its a code five. So you wait as long it is. it finally now you have to wait for a researcher to get credit. you finally do so now you can enjoy your day. The next day after working your job. You hop on see the decrease in karma. But this time its a code two with an 008 infobreach with d-class armed with uzi. You wait for everything to end for credit. Third day the same as always but noticed their is no codes at all today. you glee in enjoy "this day is going to be easy to get trustee". you go to the testing line. Wait a few minutes a gensec walks up and says "I'm sorry to say but there hasn't been a researcher on site for hours". Despair and sadness falls all over you "I guess im not getting trustee today".

As a Gensec main, I see this happen pretty often. Some D-Class wait in the testing line for hours just to climb back up to Trustee so they can get a work permit. I hear things along the line of "I just need 1 more credit then I'm back to trustee" all the time. mean while D-block has been dead for the last hour.

/ That said, I don’t think decay should be removed. Right now, most policies are built around the assumption that the majority of D-Class are medium security, with roles like Low Security and Trustee being relatively rare. Without decay, Trustee would become far more common, which could lead to increased abuse. I agree that decay is a pain but it would need to be replaced by something else to help keep balance.
Some ideas:
Increased karma lost when killing foundation.
Stacked kills cause more karma to be lost per kill.
Stacked credits without killing results in bonus karma.
Add a way for d-class to surrender guns that gives karma. (if you surrender a gun to GSD and we have to strip it from you, you lose karma)
Or just make it so above ~70 karma your karma only decays at 50% of the normal speed.

- If the abuse referenced earlier becomes widespread, Trustee would eventually be treated the same as Low Security, for example requiring escorts for all work permits, defeating the point of trustee. Removing decay would cause overall karma to trend upward, since most D-Class don’t kill often enough to offset a steady gain of 1–2 credits.
