Speed up Primary Elevator Ascending and descending speed

[What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Increases the elevator speed at HCZ primary

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different.

Yes it has been suggested before but its been long since deleted and unable to view it. Last suggestion was a year ago.

Possible positives of the suggestion, (atleast 2)

The annoyance of waiting for the elevator is reduced. By the time something is called out at Lower or upper primary. But the elevators Being called in the opposite direction your sat there for a full minuet or 2 of just waiting.

QOL improvement for the server.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion
Faster paced RP and combat. Which i can see as a negative in some aspect

Based on the positives and negatives of the suggestion why should this be added

Based on the positives, it would Increase everyone's enjoyment on the server. Cause nothing is more Soul crushing then trying to get to the elevator but it gets shut it your face now you have to sit there and wait for what feels like a century.

You can already race through the site in 3 seconds on stupid speed drugs, an elevator or two that work as obstacles should exist to impede intruders or delay defensive response, you're missing the game design purpose of it existing

not to mention if you cant handle waiting an entire minute to travel to a different sector of the site then idk what to tell you, success in any rp position on the server requires many minutes of waiting, maybe its best to find a new hobby

-Personally I think the issue here isn't that primary is slow, it's just that Secondary is far far quicker and optimal. It is literally faster to run
from primary to secondary half the time.

There are really no negatives to this but I get why you'd have to play devil's advocate. It's pure pain sitting there for a few minutes just staring at the wall while the lift goes down and up - Especially if it closes in your face. This also counts for RP scenarios. It also doesn't help that the button itself has a long cooldown.

The current lift grinds RP down to a halt, annoys players and doesn't contribute to anything.

I mean, this doesn't have to be one way or the other - Tie the speed to an electrical box, whether it be a new subsystem or an existing one (backup power?). When that subsystem is down, primary goes at the slower speed. When it's up, primary goes faster.

Not sure how to feel about secondary, tbh.

Either way, I agree that this shouldn't be left alone, the lift speed is just unnecessary timeloss and I think I speak for everyone else speedrunning this server over at speedrun dot com, that the lift being slow is not necessary.
