Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I am applying for the role of Executive researcher because I enjoyed the research role very much when i held it previously and would like to further that experience, I also like to enhance the experience of all research members through testing, This also benefits SCP players as I like to incorporate different and interesting means of testing. Overall I would like to enhance the experience of players on the server through interesting and thought out RP and I believe that I can best accomplish this by holding the role of Executive researcher.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- I am experienced already within the role, and have been told by current Executives that I should apply, I am approachable and knowledgeable when it comes to the CoE and Research policy, I am also adept with regards to chemicals, this means that I am able to assist, teach and mentor new researchers into becoming better at document formatting and execution as well as teaching them how to RP correctly with other departments within Site-65.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- I have written a total of 12 excellent graded documents, these documents can be found of SCPi.net, they include SCP's such as SCP-049, SCP-7722, SCP-096, these can be found within the 'Understanding' series that I created, however some will be under my previous moniker of 'Dr. Manning' the documents all follow the standard formatting technique with some different inclusions by myself, the format is as follows;
- Front page - Contents - Aim - Method - Description - Test(s) - Conclusion - Personal notes (if any)
This template has provided me with the bare bones on excellent document creation, this knowledge is what I hope to pass down to other researchers to not only increase the standards of the research department but to also increase the standards of RP within the server as a whole.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- Executive researchers are responsible for all researchers below them, they must ensure that safe and ethical testing is understood and followed to the highest levels of professionalism, this can be done by way of: Direct experience under supervision; this means that researchers can conduct testing with an experienced researcher that oversees the test, this allows mistakes to be spotted and corrected before any breach of CoE or Safety can occur. Another way is to review completed tests as a group and all talk about how different tests could have been improved or conducted better thus increasing the level of knowledge overall and preventing any future mishaps, this can be done by way of presentations or as a simple gathering and discussion.
Executives are also required to review and grade all documents uploaded to SCPi.net, once reviewed and depending on the grade provided the Executive must provide positive feedback or feedback on how to improve in the future. Executives must also provide the reward for excellent and good documents and log this within the research spreadsheet.
Finally, Executives are responsible for authorising SAFE - SAFE and SAFE - EUCLID tests, they are also accountable should that test go wrong this is due to the fact that any researcher that provides a document regarding cross testing bust have that document read, understood and approved by an Executive before testing can commence, further to this as an Executive you are also accountable for any ethics or safety violations with regards to testing.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Alucard Vesper Is the type of individual to assist and help as and when required, This has never been more true than when he willingly volunteered to assist members of Site - ████ with SCP-231's containment procedures, namely procedure 110-M██████. Once Vesper had returned to Site-65 he underwent 3 months of counselling and unfortunately was no better, after this period he decided that he would like to undergo amnesticization treatment, once completed Vesper was 'cured' however unlike his past self he refuses to assist any other Site than Site-65 and still exhibits moments of extreme fear and depression at random intervals around the site, however it has been recoded that Vesper can be heard within his sleeping quarters talking about a 'King' and the 'Seven' Vesper is currently on observation by site staff, not because he is a danger, but because he may well have been unknowingly effected by SCP-231.
