What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggests that SCP-073 becomes a whitelisted only SCP just like 096, where you would have to make an application to play as them.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Better roleplaying experience for both the POI's and whoever is playing 073.
- People who have a deeper understanding on 073 can enjoy him more.
- Less FailRP situations and reports.
- People can understand the rules specific to 073 better when making an application.
- Less incidents of 073 accidentally deflecting bullets back at someone in combat.
- Many people currently don't roleplay researching as 073 though he is a researcher himself, adding a whitelist can increase these situations of roleplay.
(Situational pro's)
- Imagine you're shooting down a hallway at a breached SCP and 073 starts to walk by, if 073 is whitelisted the player would understand to walk side to side with the nearest wall to avoid you shooting them.
>- If 073 isn't whitelisted it's a higher chance that they will walk infront of your bullets if they don't know the rules or passive ability.
- Imagine CI is raiding the base and 073 is following them out after being told to follow them, if 073 is whitelisted the player would understand it is FailRP to betray the foundation and leave the facility even after being told to follow them.
>- If 073 isn't whitelisted the player could possibly break the rules by leaving with CI without knowing.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- One less SCP that can be played without VIP or an Application.
- Less people playing 073.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Overall there is more pro's than con's that I could think of (Around 8 pro's to 2 con's) meaning overall for what I could think of, it would be a great addition for 073.
Making 073 have restrictions may seem like a bad idea to some and I agree in some ways, mostly because a lot of SCP's currently need you to pay (As well as 096's application.) and this can restrict SCP even further. In my opinion this can easily be avoided though since an application for 073 would more be rule-understanding focused rather than 096's need to roleplay correctly and have skills related to breaching. Taking these into consideration 073 would by far be an easier application than 096, making it easy and fast to take time out your day to read on 073 specific rules and make an application. Possible questions may be:
Can you leave foundation as 073 if told to by CI?: Y/N
Do you avoid breaches and fights as 073?: Y/N
A lot of 073 players currently don't know the specific rules directed to themselves as there's many, so making the SCP whitelisted will force them to read and understand them easily.
Basically the only con's that I could think of are related to restricting SCP more, but these can be forgotten as an application for 073 should be easy on paper.
