What does this suggestion change/add/remove?
This suggestion aims to introduce an entity in the supply closets around the foundation that has a chance to give players who interact with it (e.g., d-class, parawatch, ci) a "spare" foundation uniform. The possibility of getting a disguise will have to be random, restricted from the foundation and other jobs, and accessing the entity will have to be based on a cool down. This disguise should not be detectable by Kant counters or scramblers as this is not a disguise from an SCP--only cameras and other in-character forms of confirmation (e.g., id checking, code-word).
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Allows non-foundation persons the possibility to find disguises without having to go to a centralized location (914) that foundation can immediately assault. Similarly, by mitigating detection from kant counters and scramblers, the disguises may be more robust and give the non-foundation person more time before being discovered.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Introduces a way for non-foundation persons to disguise that is far easier to access and much harder to regulate.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted?
This suggestion is mainly in response to Harry Chich's suggestion to repeal the superadmin ruling barring parawatch from using 914. Nevertheless, this suggestion would introduce a way for all non-foundation persons to gain a disguise without 914, however far less reliable.
One of the limitations for all non-foundation persons who are trying to disguise is that they are limited to 914 if they don't have a disguise card. Thus, in response to foreign access to the foundation (e.g., ci raiding or parawatch investigating), foundation MTF and other armed staff flood 914 to prevent the intruder from using 914. This suggestion is mainly focused to promote rp by allowing parawatch a means of disguising in the foundation after following the superadmin ruling prohibited them from using 914. Introducing random chance into the process means that parawatch have something that allows them to not be discovered immediately, but they can not abuse external knowledge as much because of the random possibility. For other actors like ci and d-class, they may be less concerned about rp, but they can still benefit from having an alternate means of disguising as 914 is always the focus if the foundation is concerned about its use.
As with anything, there is a possibility for this to be abused if it was introduced. However, by having the possibility of getting a disguise as random, players will not always be successful in getting a disguise even if they already know where the supply closets are. This means that they will have to explore multiple supply closets or resort to 914 if they want a disguise.
Hopefully, considering the positives and negatives, this suggestion will introduce a feature that offers players more options to acquire disguises and give them more opportunities to engage in RP situations without introducing something that is too impactful or one-sided into the server.
