Denied Team HUD for MTF/GOI

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[Add a type of team HUD system for MTFs, allowing players to invite people in their MTF into a squad type system, giving a HUD showing their position/status for HP]

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
[Yes, but I believe the server since then has changed a lot with the introduction of TB, and SCPs.]

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[Allows player to form smaller groups allowing better communication during stressful situations so it isn't just a screaming match of info
Allows better group recognition and tactics.
Adds more ability to improve RP of being an elite task force]

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
[Gets a little harder to kidnap people/assassinate people]

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
[I feel it will add a little more immersion to being an elite group of combative and wouldn't be too hard to implement, all groups would gain from this addition equally, not favoring any GOI over the other. If not MTF/GOIs this could at least be added to ERT]

this just sounds like a fireteam thats a bit too overpowered

I don't see the point in this and it seems to introduce an additional way of metagaming
Brother TS and Discord exist. If someone is gonna be a loser and metagame they're going to do it now.

I feel it's more a small QOL, and the server severely needs more QOL content to give more immersion. In my honest opinion the reason people don't RP as much as they do is the server is missing some of the small RP stuff that allows a bit more immersion.

You'll have to explain a little bit more, I don't understand.

-Location should be limited.
(Seeing your squad mates location across the entire map is very unbalanced and should obviously not be implemented with unlimited range)
- Include DEA.
(DEA would also greatly benefit from this as a part of SOP)

No I'm saying this won't be adding anything people aren't metagaming already.

Its a thing on MRP, basically a little squad up to 6 people and you can spawn on rally markers, you can get outlines of nearby members

Yeah but obviously we won't have the spawn point/rally markers. But with it being a thing already, there shouldn't be issue with adding it to SCP-RP with small changes/balances.

Makes sense. When it comes to balancing I try to leave it up to Dev team to decide what's necessary, but that's a great idea.

While I can't find the thread, I distinctly recall the discussion we had - This is essentially a direct re-opening of that idea 1:1. You claim that the idea is justified by how the server has changed since it was discussed before, but you seem to be neglecting the discussion that was had and offer no substantial counterpoint to the past suggestion's denial reason, which to my recollection regarded capability to metagame and unsuitability for the server overall. Furthermore, I don't think that the way the server has changed since, reasonably contributes to any reasoning as to why this should be accepted, compared to when it was proposed before.

I personally think the idea itself is interesting and if diegetically implementable by way of using a new inanimate SCP to facilitate this functionality, rather than having it be inherent to all MTF (Or even just limit it to E-11 for the express purpose of cracking down harder on how hard breaches disrupt the server), it could be workable? But even then, unless it could serve to meaningfully address extant server concerns (Such as with the aforementioned breach issues), I don't think it could or should be a priority. I don't see this being accepted, but good luck.

No, the issue is you're focusing on the fact people can break rules, when this doesn't add anymore to that issue than anything else already does. People will still insist they comm'd out the TB that killed them in half a second in their TS, this won't add anymore to the issue than anything else does. Which is kind of why they deny any suggestion to remove external comms, just because some losers COULD misuse something, doesn't mean the rest of us should suffer for it.

Using your own logic, we shouldn't add more SCPs because they could be used to failrp, we shouldn't allow research because someone may fail breach 035, we shouldn't allow guns because someone may massrdm, we should get rid of teamspeak because people may metagame on it, etc. The reason we do anyway is because these things add to the overall gameplay and server experience, to an enjoyable degree.

My end point is, we shouldn't be denied content because of a few bad actors, if we were, then the server will get pretty boring. Which it has, which is why the player count is down.
 
You can tell someone is injured. Also, you can use it on ERT.
You can't tell when your friendlies are injured from across the map or through walls, though?
ERT having it is a completely different point - you forget that this is a randomly selected group of 9 people at a time when the server is on the verge of shitting itself from an SCP breach, not a day-to-day regiment.
