Partially Accepted text chat indicators

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
some sort of system that indicates if a player is currently typing in chat that can be seen mid conversation either by having a text under the name that says "typing" or how it was before when you would raise your hand to your ear when using chat

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
not to my knowledge so ill say no atm because haven't seen any so far

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
makes conversations less awkward where people either think i am just staring at their soul and they just run off thinking i have nothing to say
helpful to players who chose not to speak
probably isn't hard to implement [zero dev knowledge so....]

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
none that i can think off really

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
because its a mostly harmless system that helps players in conversations and make it much less awkward and shouldnt take much dev work [again zero dev knowledge....so...yea......]

Only if it's optional - there's a tradeoff between letting friendlies know you're just typing and to wait, and letting enemies know you're typing and can't fight back - it's metagaming or whatever, but people do it.

if you mean an option where players can hide their text indicators from others then yea that is understandable
