What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion adds a new dedicated Discord channel with reaction roles that allow players to self-assign language roles (e.g., English, Spanish, Russian, etc.) by clicking on corresponding emoji reactions. It does not remove or modify any existing features—only introduces a new organizational tool. (This will mainly be used by UK server players.)
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
No, this has not been suggested before.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
• Improves communication efficiency by allowing players to easily find others who speak the same language.
• Enhances inclusivity for international players, making non-English speakers feel more welcome and reducing language barriers within the community.
• Reduces clutter in general chat, as players won't need to repeatedly ask "Who speaks [language]?"—they can simply check role members instead.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
• May slightly increase server role count, which could become visually cluttered if too many language roles are created without organization.
• Requires initial setup and occasional maintenance (e.g., adding new languages or fixing broken reaction messages).
• Some users might assign roles for languages they don't actually speak, though this is a minor social issue.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
The benefits significantly outweigh the drawbacks. The setup is a one-time effort with minimal ongoing maintenance, while the improvement to cross-language communication and community inclusivity provides lasting value—especially as the player base grows internationally. The potential downsides are easily manageable (e.g., grouping language roles in a separate role category, using a bot).
