Hi Everyone,

I'd like to provide an update on what the content team has been doing since CC 4's release back in Feb 2022.

Content and Development team

The content team currently comprises of

Onariz Content Team lead / Senior Admin
Karkar CC Developer
Relman CC Developer / Server Manager

** Jonka and Janus were members but resigned, but had contributed greatly in terms of testing and ideas while part of the team.

The development team for CC currently is

There are of course contributions from Cloak, Hydro, and Ventz.

Development activity

Since the CC4 release, there have been 137 change logs. These change logs account for 1 change to many (30+) changes.

Overall there have been 437 line items mentioned which means on average we are producing 3 new changes with every change log.

How this breaks down roughly in terms of the type of changes.

Suggestions

Suggestions have a process which has been explained on discord. Suggestions which are accepted have been added to the content team Trello and have different categories, where additional dev review occurs, and potential community outreach to understand how best to implement the suggestions.

EVOP

There has also been a new program developed to make changes which we can tweak and withdraw if it doesn't "land" with the community correctly, which is introduced with an RP element called EVOPs. We are now on our third EVOP

EVOP 3 - Hacking

Rules

A full rule review was also conducted by the Content team in the last 3 months we have reviewed every rule. We have initially opened this up to the staff team, who we feel experience the most issues with how players interrupt rules and the holes within them. A key focus is on two parts.

1. Tighten up rules to make them clear.
2. Remove rules which are not needed

There has also been another exercise to review which new rules are required. This went through the same process within the content team, then to the staff team, and has been out to the community for consultation over the last month. We received 15 responses and have now announced which of the new rules will be implemented.

Town Halls

Town Halls were a great idea on paper but descended into racism, arguments, and very very long meetings. This is why instead of regular Town halls alternative methods were put in places such as EVOPs and Suggestions. There is also a content team which engages with the community. The content team meet regularly (weekly if not more) to discuss priorities.

We have introduced bi-weekly review meetings for the suggestion roadmap which start tomorrow (18th June), We have also published a link to gather topic suggestions for a Town hall meeting.

Finally just to address some feedback to the OP WyMafia, you sent me some suggestions on the 6th of May 2022.

Vgun changes - I believe you shared with Cope
Vorgs - We made a recent announcement about this, I've also spoken to Hydro and requested Ventz fix the red dot bugs
Raiding - This was tackled in the EVOP 2
End game - Jackhammer was implemented with the meteor showers as you had suggested.

I also know you have spoken to Onariz, which has fed back to me and has influenced the direction of EVOP 2.

The bug you reported for factorian was already reported by Chetso and was fixed before you messaged me.
