What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Makes it so that every Friday we get a small update on what the devs are working on, stuff like teasers, saying that they're working on bug fixes, new features (doesn't have to say what feature) , the works.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Helps with transparency, gonna show people that there's stuff getting worked on instead of the dreaded Soon(TM) that tells the community basically nothing. Gonna add more engagement for the devs and maybe increase rate of high quality suggestions to give the devs more of a feel of what they could add/change for the next big update according to the community. (Afghan comes to mind) Also helps with consistency if you have a set day to post.
Could have it formatted as [Update] for bigger stuff like new features/weapons etc and [Hotfix] for small patches that fix shit so people can tell at a glance what to expect.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Someone's gonna have to spend like 10 minutes writing and making sure nothing's leaked by accident.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Keeps engagement high, makes the community more assured that stuff is coming and what to expect instead of people being disappointed when a message in #Change-logs appears that fixes like 1-2 things.
