Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I have been a Sergeant in GSD for an extensive period of time, and I feel like I've learned thoroughly enough to hold the rank of Captain. I'm looking to obtain more senior position experience, not only within GSD, but within the site as a whole, and I can't think of a better place to do that than GSD, whom have always been more than welcoming. Although I might have waivered in recent days with my activity, I'm planning on dedicating more time to GSD, now that I've established myself in my other positions.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I understand the operations of GSD from an internal and external perspective. I've been a Sergeant for a few months now learning how to operate D-Block, cooperate with other departments, lead containment and counter-raid squads, and I was one of the first members of TRT. I've also worked with GenSec from other departments perspectives, whether that be as ISD, research, or even partially as Nu-7. I'm confident in saying that I have garnered the respect of multiple long standing GSD members, whether they be Officers, SRUs, Sergeants, and beyond.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
The primary responsibility of a Security Captain is to ensure D-Block is running and secure at all times. Captains delegate tasks and responsibilities to Sergeants when necessary or appropriate, and manage virtually all personnel within D-Block. Captains may also order squads to patrol or devote portions of GSD to maintaining site security. Captains also typically are inwork groups/ the areas of responsibility and are responsible for handling the duties of said group, or may even become a leader of a working group. Another major responsibility of GSD Captains is to train and inform GenSec personnel of their duties and how to perform them, this goes to training and enlisting new
Sergeants as well.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Artyom 'Skitz' has dabbled in numerous departments in his time within the SCP Foundation. 'Skitz' was initially employed as a researcher but eventually branched off into the Security Department after he became a Senior Researcher. 'Skitz' found time to continue his studies after he joined GSD, juggling duties as both a member of RSD and GenSec. Artyom obtained the rank of Sergeant while maintaining this delicate balance, but eventually he abandoned his studies in favor of a more active and bloody lifestyle. 'Skitz' was recruited into Armed Mobile Task Force Nu-7, codenamed "Hammer Down." During his time in "Hammer Down" he resumed studies, but this time in medicine rather than anomolies. 'Skitz' served for a time as a combat medic within the task force before joining the NCO team as a Corporal. Artyom still manages site security, but when called, he still brings the hammer down- not for glory, not for pride, but because someone has to.
