Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
With key factors including (1) a strive to continue reaching higher positions, (2) the ability to create roleplay opportunities much easier & it's policies and finally (3) my integration into active and more serious roleplay within the site have all played a role into why I am making this application.
(1) Having an ISD related start into playing more of an Ethics role has strived me to push toward higher clearance roles to actually make a difference on site rather than feeling like a statistic and a supposed "nuisance" to everyone else. Site Administration to me isn't just another role to add to the list, but a role that actually matters and can't just easily be replaced by any random. I believe I have whats necessary to perform such duties to the highest of standards, aswell having fun on the role and not being a bore.
(2) As Site Administration, creating roleplay is the core basis of the role, whether it be meetings, interactions between departments or site-wide events. With ideas in mind and my plan to work alongside GM's, I'm planning and currently to make as much of a positive impact on the site as possible.
(3) Again, coming from an ISD role with toes dipping in both combat and roleplay, more so combat related due to frequent CI raids, combat related issues and deviants found on site have shown me that roleplay is just the better way to go. Site Advisor requires prior knowledge in RP idea making and would be a great suit for me. Key thing to take from this is I'm willing to take a slower approach rather than a head-first as is with ISD.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
Experience
With prior CL4 experience as an ISD Inspector, Ethics Committee Assistant and minor CL3 experience in the MTF Divisions, I've continued to perform to an exceptional level. Both roles are reading roles in their own capacity, Inspector having to lead the entire ISD during RP whilst ECA helps to lead O1, ensure the cover story is upheld, hosting tribunals, responding to EC calls and much more. As Site Administration requires a level-headed mind and mediation skills, I believe I have the guts to perform the role to a high standard and carry on the skills from my CL4 roles onto SA.
Characteristics & Approachability
With my characteristics being very much the outgoing type, I can be easily talked to at a comfortable tone and demeanour. It's been noted by many at how kind and helpful I've been to absolutely everyone I come across on the server and I would like to keep it this way. As Site Administration, approachability is a key characteristic as issues can be brought up and dealt with almost immediately to ensure the running of the site. I like to get involved in as many RP situations as possible, some notable ones being the R.A.I.S.A. involvement in the ISD Operation "Corked Out", the story line of O1 Banana/'Strider', thrown into a Mock Tribunal by Oyabun (ArcherLegends) on my first day as ECA and so much more all thanks to how charismatic I am.
During the latest CL4 meeting and having a chat with 8837, the idea of using thaumaturgy and reality bending to merge rifts was brought up by myself which got the attention of pretty much the entire room. This was probably my "I have reached peak roleplay" moment and I'm still proud of it to this day.
Lack of bias, remaining unswayed and abilities
With me being a naturally-born leader, not getting influenced easily by others and remaining equal and bias-less toward everyone is all necessary for efficient running of site as accidental bias might create more problems around site if one party strives to gain more than the others. I'm an open person but require a common level of respect between each other to ensure that I can listen properly.
Building common ground
With me having a very extroverted personality, I've been able to speak with an abundance of people in regards to issues on site, overlooked policies, opinions and comments on site. Through these relationships, I will be able to continuously monitor and identify areas that need working on alongside other members of Site Administration. With what I've been able to see, more departmental meetings need to be held in order to see IF there's anything missing.
My Perserverance
Having remained in both Inspector and ECA for a bit of time now, it really shows both dedication and my ability to continue to work in the role even though my time IRl has shifted to being a bit more busy and kind of lacking time recently to play CN. After exams, I'm planning to do even more with all of my roles and continue to create a positive environment for everyone.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Appointing new Department Leaders/Directors
- Site Administration are the ones who decide on Department Directors, whom of which include RSD, DoM, GSD and in very rare cases, members of Site Staff like Tech Experts. This excludes ISD, EC, O1, A1 and the Overseers.
- For MTF units like NU-7 and E-11, Site Administration get the final say on who actually receives the Commander role.
- For applicants of Site Administration, members get a say in regards to their conduct, experience, interactions with them and assist in integrating them into the role once accepted.
- Apppointing new Dpt. Leaders is done through deliberation in externals alongside other members of SA and seeing if they are actually suitable for the role.
Monthly Liasion for Departments
- Every month, members of Site Administration rotate between being the Liasion for all departments (excluding. Ethics, F3) of any issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis which may include policy restructuring, guidance and more.
- Liasions are meant to monitor and ensure that Department Leadership remain active both time wise and roleplay wise.
- Liasions also monitor the department as a whole, ensuring that engagement is upheld to the highest standard.
Site Statuses, part-closures and ERT Response
- Site Administration help ensure the site remains operational for as long as possible, even during codes. They act as an Overwatch, usually issuing commands through communications and being like the bird in the sky.
- Site Administration are allowed to call code blacks for when too many SCP's are breached, too many different codes are on-going etc.
- Site Admin are the first contact for requesting Advanced Armory and site must follow the CoC from (SA+ -> OSA's/ECA's -> Sr. CL4 -> JR. CL4) respectfully. Advanced Armory may only be used if there are many SCP's breached, too many heading toward surface and if GoI's are raiding on a large scale.
- Site Admin are able to request Emergency Response Teams to enter the site if all other means have failed, thus being any combatives like E11, ISD and others.
- Site Administration are also allowed to close parts of site off for situations like cross-trainings, maintenance etc.
Policies & Document Administration
- With the site being heavily reliant on upholding the mission statement and the Foundation Legal Codex, policies are necessary to uphold said peace.
- Site Administration are required to continuously ensure policies remain up to date, update them as necessary in the events of misunderstandings, loop holes and more.
- Site Admin also draft new site wide policies, work with other departments to work on their own department policies & suggesting possible policies to departments where it might be necessary to do so.
Creation of events for the site
- As a Site Advisor, it's important to constantly engage the site to do odd and irregular events to create a difference in day to day running that doesn't negatively impact the site as a whole.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
