What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
Personally I believe am a good candidate because of the following reasons
- While I don't think myself as excellent in RP , its something I'm working on improving and a RP focused role like ECA would be a great kick to help me improve
- I am a good leader , I find myself very approachable both in RP, IC and for OOC things
and I just generally like to be a helping hand (which Is especially demonstrated with my performance as a E-11 CPT)
- I am actively pushing myself to try each available corner of this server , I am an eager learner and think I would quickly find myself in new roles
- During my time as a ISD Investigator I have learn a lot about FLC and how it functions within RP
and For a lack of a better word I have fell in love with how the Judicial system functions in RP and is something i would really like to expand as a ECA
- I generally like making documentation/ helping in making polices , this by itself is a must for a Assistant
at some point you will have to either write some small notes during a interview , or a big overly convoluted legal document , and I can find some enjoyment in making sure they are readable and polished
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
ECA are a roleplay heavy role and should create roleplay opportunities for all staff ,
they serve as a relay between the ECMs and the general foundation staff and would be often approached first once a need arises while ensuring all departments function within standards set by the ethics committee
As a ECA you serve a somewhat function of a para-legal , you are required to both help host Tribunals ensuring they run smoothly & efficiently as well as answering any legal queries that may arise
You function to help people find themself amongst complicated legal matters
As said before documentation both the simple notes for a ECM and the overcomplicated documents
you are expected to look over and approve/oppose documentation ranging from a euthanasia request to a questionable RSD testing
And most importantly be a helping hand , to both ECMs and other staff
always be available for any issues and help solve lesser ones and divert the most important ones to a ECM
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Alexander Cloud born on [22/09/XXXX] in a small coastal village in southern France
He joined the French coast guard and after 5 years of service was offered a entry level job into the foundation as a GSD Cadet
during his employment he quickly advanced in ranks becoming a ISD investigator in barely 4 months since employment
He's recognisable for his Fairness and joyfully almost playful behaviour
often described as a tall person with a slim frame and a face that is incongruously tired of life
During a Incident on [4/01/XXXX] in which a mind bending anomaly was released by a Hostile GOI
He reacted quickly killing both the Hostile as well as his superior ISD Commissioner that was under Anomalous influence
he was questioned rigorously about the shooting ,
with him being blamed for the murder of his superior due to his prior argument with the commissioner
After a total of 6 hours of questioning he was cleared of any wrongdoing
In which he stood his ground and tried to prove his innocence with impressive resilience to interrogation
During this questioning his behaviour and willingness to stand up for himself was noticed by Ethics Committee Member [DATA_EXPLUNGED](Someone would need to slot himself into this tbh) and approached with the recomendation of transfer to ECA position
In terms of storylines as said I would really like to help expand and make the current Legal system more Clearview and accessible (just looking at the Justice document gives me shivers ) , and some Medical RP dealing with the consequences of above mentioned incident
