Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I am applying for Site Advisor again because since being in it before, the RP and gameplay that I have been doing simply does not compare to the enjoyment that I had on SA. The overall versatility that comes with the role is unreal and something that I truly think is such an interesting factor that not only motivates me to play more but also simply do well in the role. When I compare the RP opportunities within Site Administration to those available in a departmental CL4 role, the difference is significant. The opportunities to create site-wide RP are far greater, allowing me to be involved with and oversee scenarios across the entire site rather than being confined to a single department like I currently am within DEA. Having the ability to work with every department on the level of SA is something I much more prefer and believe I am good at doing so.
The duties and obligations that an SA gets involved in and has to do, appeals to me very much. I like the fact that they are there to 70% of the time only advise, supervise, oversee, make recommendations where it is appropriate without directly commanding. Obviously, stepping in and taking control/commanding a situation when it demands so of course. I like giving people a chance and Advisor is a role that is the bridge between SA/FCOM+ and the rest of the site so having a balance between these two is crucial and something that appeals to me in this role.
Within SA, every situation is different all the time this is because SA manages the entirety of the site (obviously with some small exceptions) but when you overlook a majority like that the situations you deal with are so versatile and different all the time that it keeps the engagement up to a peak level and prevents a repetitive feeling on the role.
After rebuilding myself back to a SrCL4 position after my well earned break at the start of this year I have officially settled back into the site very well proving that I am still active and committed. Now, with over a month in this position I have relearnt all there is to know about the changes and aspects of the site now and as a result of that I am now comfortable stepping back into a site wide role.
Site Administration naturally creates some of the biggest, most interesting and meaningful RP on the server. Every situation is different, meaning I have to think on my toes readily whenever encountering any sort of scenario and that is just pure excitement for me. The unpredictability keeps the role interesting.
Ultimately, having already experienced SA in the past getting to Site Manager, I already know exactly what SA as a role has to offer and what the expectations are. Returning to this isn't about curiosity or trying to find my place, but because I genuinely know it is the role on the server that I find the most rewarding. I am ready to return to SA once again.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:

As I have previously served as Site Advisor and layer progressed to Site Manager I understand how Site Admin operates and functions every single day. This means that I am familiar with the expectations, procedures and overall responsibilities that come from this dept. Therefore, having been in this site wide management role before I am already highly experienced with dealing in advising, supervising and making decisions across the site. Additionally, this time returning with even more previous knowledge rather from learning the role from scratch.

As we know situations IC and also OOC, especially when in an administration position can get quite dire quite quickly. In these times, one of my main skills is the ability to remain calm in these high pressure, heated or unexpected situations. As well as that, being able to have the self confidence to be able to make these decisions while considering the wider impact across the entirety of the site; doing this by thinking deeply about the impact it (whatever it is) will have on each department. I can quite easily understand when a scenario needs observations, guidance, overlooking, SA recommendations or direct intervention but always being able to assess the situation objectively before acting. I will always be comfortable at taking the responsibility to make high level decisions, which as a member of SA will constantly happen, and then stand by them. I will constantly ensure that I remain fair, consistent and professional regardless of the situation at hand.

My very long time in SA & DEA being in the Leadership and management roles of leading the Dpt it has required me to have communication with almost every department across the site on a very regular basis and as well as that comms with GoI's. This skill is proven as communicating with GoI's requires a very careful choice of words, decisions and tone when dealing with it and I have proven that I can do this in both my time as DEA and SA before. I am experienced in leading meetings, coordinating with departmental leadership to ensure things are getting done. Having communication skills that people know about on the server is a skill that is crucial in a SrCL4 role as without it people will not feel comfortable coming to you for help, guidance, questions, or problems that are at hand and this is something I can proudly say I believe I am good at. Strong communication helps prevent unnecessary issues and ensures situations are dealt with efficiently and properly.

Being able to move away from a single focused leadership position is a difficult thing and being able to look at the site as a whole rather from one department's perspective is not an easy thing to maneuver into. Fortunately, previous time in SA taught me this and I have learnt how to do it to a very good extent. I clearly understand how decisions made by SA can have a very easy knock on effect across multiple departments at once so by me being comfortable balancing the needs and viewpoints of different departments rather than having the single look on a singular one is something I have and can manage very well. Having this understanding is a very key part of being in a position that is in charge of leading, guiding and making decisions for the entire site etc.

After having a 4 month break from the server I returned around mid-june and having been here since that time has given me just under 2 months of up to date experience of the site. In that time, I have played consistently and to a good standard. I have climbed back up to the position of Dpt Manager, a Sr CL4 role in DEA. I got back to this position for the second time by once again through consistent activity, maintaining a DEA presence on the server, commitment, performance, creating and leading RP.
In my time as Dpt Manager for the second time I have opened up operations that have facilitated major and also passive RP for the department. Some examples are, Operation Watchlist, CLARITY, SIC Op 4 etc. As well as the creation of operations for agents I have also achieved the position of SIC Deputy Commander, leading this Sub regiment that works on intel gathering, espionage, covert ops and anything in between that needs to be done. In RP, I have merely been involved in mostly passive RP scenarios that have been created and built in over time; these include UNGOC meetings, agreements, treaties, testings, diplomatic negotiations, infiltrations, interrogations etc. The list is endless. The most important thing I have shown in DEA is the presence I can achieve for the Dpt, I have been active alot and reliable when needed at all times. I believe that my recent performance as well as of course my previous tenure reflects the standard I would bring to Site Administration.

This application is not based on ambition alone, but on previous experience and everything I have achieved since returning. I have rebuilt myself properly, regained a senior leadership role and continued to develop as both a leader and roleplayer. I believe I now return to Site Admin with more experience, better judgement and a stronger understanding of the site than even before. For those reasons, I am confident I am well suited to once again be a member of SA.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Site Administration is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the Site, acting on behalf of FCOM where required. SA’s duties constantly change depending on the scenario, however there are several core duties expected of every member of Site Admin which I will list below;
Department Supervision
SA are to oversee departments by using the Liaison system. By monitoring leadership, activity, standards and overall performance. At the end of each month the Liaisons of each department will come together where they discuss and present the performance of their department for that month through an official review. SA provides recommendations and guidance to improve departments rather than simply identifying issues and not developing or acting on it. While doing all this, still managing to keep in mind 24/7 to “oversee” and not overstep and micro manage as that takes the fun and enjoyment of the relevant leadership players.
Site Wide Decision Making
As SA you make decisions that affect the site as a whole rather than a single department. Things like authorising major actions like AA, ERT, partial site closures/lockdowns and code blacks for example. I need to be able to assess situations quickly and come up with the correct decision to make while still considering the wider impact on the site.
Senior Leadership Responsibilities
SA are the direct decider of reviewing appointing department leader positions, these are; DoDEA, DoRSD, DoM, CoS, Nu7 COM, E11 COM. These are done by having a discussion/vote regarding that personnel when the position has opened or an application has been made, with the final decision verdict going to the site director or of the highest ranking SA at the time a; a site manager or O5 if no SM or SD are present.
Policy and Administration
Site Admin maintain, oversee and have direct oversight to approve and control site wide policies. This includes ensuring that department policies remain updated, accurate and relevant. Before a big change is made that has the final decision made by SA a thread is to be created where SA will discuss and vote on the outcome of it in the SA forums on the discord. Things like; reviewing proposals, documents, treaties, agreements and admin changes before they are implemented. SA are also responsible for reviewing and authorising tests or samplings that fall within their authority.
Oversight of Roleplay
Site Admin is there to facilitate and create RP just as much as leading and managing. This is something that quite easily gets lost behind all the management and logistics of dealing with issues in SA across the site but RP is easily one of the most important things on this server as SA. Basically, ensuring roleplay remains organised, realistic, enjoyable and consistent for all departments is a direct responsibility as SA that must be upheld.
Site 65 Representative
As an advisor you act as the first point of contact between departmental leadership and Site Command, being a proxy for the Site director. As well as that, liaising with Foundation Command (O5 & EC) when needed. Moving away from just internally on the site, maintaining awareness of GoI relations while working with DEA is an important factor.
Maintaining Site Standards
As Site Admin are to overlook almost everything that happens on the site, standards can drop quite quickly if not constantly overseen and maintained. Ensuring departments continue operating to expectations is a direct responsibility of SA and they are expected to fix the issue if a Dpt falls too far below this line. Doing this and addressing declining standards through guidance, reviews or audits. All whilst promoting professionalism, activity, cooperation and being a role model across the site.
