Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:554714117.
Discord name: west.supermarket.
For how long have you played on CG SCP: 113 hours for this month in Ktime. I've been playing the server for a year.
Age: 18.
In what country are you located?: South Africa.
Time zone: GMT+2 (SAST).

Character name(s): Amelia Hughes.
Civilian name: Isaac Neomann.
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP UK.
Do you have a mic?: Yes.

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: I currently hold Medical Consultant, ISD Agent and DEA Agent whitelists. I have held Nu-7 Corporal, Medical Consultant, Director of Medicine and CI Gamma whitelists. I used to be part of Reaper's Shadow, Medical Response Unit and Advanced Surgery Unit which are respectively sub-squadrons of Nu-7 or the Chaos Insurgency.

Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: Yes. RDM(x4), FailRP(x2), 12 hour ban (LTARP). All are inactive.

Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?:
I love the Medical Department. It goes without saying that my long tenure in the department has made me attached to it and I find it only natural that I try my hand at making it better once again. We have seen recently that the department has taken a dive in certain aspects, and I wish to attempt to save it in those respects. I understand how saying that is much easier than doing it, but I believe I have the ability to do it. I feel like I will be able to devote more time to the role as opposed to my previous tenure as Department Director.
Saying that, I believe I am ready to take on the responsibility of the role of Department Director. I wish to make the necessary changes to make a better medical department.

What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
I have been committed to the Medical department for most of my time on the server. I have been a consultant twice and I have been a Director of Medicine. I enjoy helping the department, and even when I was in the Chaos Insurgency, I led medical roleplay. This shows that I have the drive to help medical roleplay all around, to the best of my ability.
I aim to make enjoyable roleplay for all in the medical department and all departments we come into contact with. During the time I am active, I try to engage others in enjoyable roleplay. I am always willing to learn quickly and am suitable to work under time constraints and pressure. I actively try to help trainees and doctors alike to get acquainted with the department. I am approachable and friendly at all times applicable, and I enjoy working within the department.
It is my hope to allow the Medical Department to continue growing fruitfully. I will help to achieve this by allowing the Medical Department to interact to a greater degree with other departments, allowing for more projects to be pushed forward inter-departmentally. We should put an emphasis on the training and participation of our personnel within the bounds of good roleplay.
I understand that people do not see much of me externally when I am not doing medical duties, but I am there for most, if not all, internal problems. I try to be first contact for most of the medical department's needs from leadership. I could speak about the fact that most, if not all, of the surgeries that have happened on site since my instatement as consultant have happened with my involvement or overview. I also could talk about the fact that I made a surgery guide that is currently kept on the corkboard in medical bunks on surgery. None of this is important as it is all blank text, the medical department should be about encouraging others to roleplay within it. That is why I try to do so. I try to be there for the department when it needs me. I handle projects and personnel so that the medical department is a place where skills for good roleplay and management of such is encouraged.
During my time as consultant, my love for the medical department has only grown to exceeding levels. I love watching the personnel within it make it the best that it can be. I want to be there to help lead our already great department into being better.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
A Director of Medicine's job is to overlook the running of the department.
This includes;
  • monitoring changes within the department, and updating any documentation made to reflect those changes,
  • managing external relationships with other departments,
  • overseeing staff selection, running interviews, and approving staff applications,
  • making documentation and approving documentation for said department,
  • overseeing disciplinary measures taken within the department and taking the time to honor any and all issues brought to them by members of the department,
  • generally training medical staff, holding lectures, instructing on procedures and training combat medics,
  • upholding the Hippocratic oath with every action taken within the department,
  • being available for any and all medical care needed for any personnel within the department, regardless of status
  • and monitoring and controlling any and all complaints about medical personnel, ensuring they are dealt with properly and in due process.
A Department Director must be there to guide and shape their department in the best possible light so that it's personnel can do the best possible job.

Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
‘Amelia Hughes was born in Bristol, England. She was born to Jakeem and Dana Hughes. She was born the youngest of three children, her elder siblings being Ibrahim Hughes and Elina Hughes. Her parents remained together, so she resided with them continuously.
She attended primary school at Michael Sobell Sinai School, which is located in Harrow. She moved to Harrow when she was roughly five years old. Her primary school days were coloured with academic successes and sports failures. She was always at the top of the list for academics, but she was always on the last team whenever she joined sports. This trend continued until high school, which she attended at Jews’ Free School, also located in Harrow. She obtained her IGCSE at JFS, following on an A-grade aggregate.
Upon exit of Secondary School, she moved on her own into Student Accomodation near to Plymouth.
She was welcomed into the halls of the University of Plymouth, following a double Bachelor’s programme. She did both of her degrees in five years, graduating at twenty-four years of age.
She began her internship in Plymouth Hospital, and ended up completing it at Site 34, as well as her first two years of residency, after the Foundation approached her.
Amelia was given permanent residence in Canada upon her employment at Site 65. During her tenure at Site 65 she has saved multiple important personnel and contributed positively, at times, to the running of the department.’ [Adapted from Amelia Hughes - Personnel File.]

Amelia has been involved in storylines involving plenty of surgery. She has helped as much as she can with medical roleplay with other departments. She will likely be involved in storylines between the Chaos Insurgency, Alpha One, Omega One as well as other task forces and departments.

-I'm very clearly biased since I've been friends for Amelia for awhile, but from all my experiences with them they have prioritised RP and a fun time above all else. They very clearly have experience with it, having run multiple RP storylines, and do a good job at it. Furthermore they're also just a great pick overall. They're capable, decently active, have the experience and actually do their job when it comes to medical work.

Best of luck!

Bit conflicted on what to put for support so I am going to leave a Neutral for now.

I've seen you quite active on the server which goes in your favour, however, what have you actually done as a Consultant? You don't sell your experience or skills very well through your application and I am sure you can raise the quality of the application overall.

I think you'd be a good fit but I've not seen anything impactful come from you or explained in this application.

Regardless, I do wish you the best of luck!

Noted, however I would like to state that while I have been consultant, I focus on ensuring that medical is kept running internally first before everything else. With not many consultants to begin with, the brunt of the workload for the medical department is split between three people, including myself. If I ever have time I focus on my own storylines, and then attempting to carry through orders given to the medical department. I don't mean to downplay the work the rest of medical leadership's efforts, but I feel as if I am co-leading the department with the amount of work I do to keep it runnning within my capacity. I also do plenty of research to make sure any medical roleplay I do is accurate and contributes to the characters they come across. All the best.

I barely see you around and the best I have seen from you is standing around healing people in medbay I also did not see to much from you when you were DoM.

With this I am leaving a Neutral leaning -support.
I will admit that when I was Director previously, I had plenty on my plate in real life so I wasn't able to give everything into the role as I wanted to. You will likely not have seen me as consultant as you don't interact with medical often, and I often only run things in medical from the ground level. I ensure I help out my staff before anything else. (ISD barely interacts with Medical anyway...)
All the best.
