Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- Warning for FearRP About 10-12 months ago.
- 30 day ban for severe toxicity, obviously something I'm not proud of but I can't change what was said in the past, only how I've gone forward and kept a clean sheet for over 6 months.
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community?:
Yes, I was an Administrator for a large Arma 3 roleplay community that has since shut down. My responsibilities started as a Moderator there looking over whitelist applications and screening player reports to be sent for review by more senior staff or denied. As I climbed the ranks from Senior Mod and onto Admin my role also expanded to cover compensation appeals, unban appeals, player reports and actively monitoring the server using the admin suite that was available to spectate players, view their data etc.
Do you have any previous experience with serious roleplay?:
I have an extensive history on Arma 3 roleplay servers. With most of my 3466 hours on arma 3 being spent on altis life and arma 3 life servers I have had the opportunity to experience a variety of roles on servers and "saw it all" in terms of roleplay scenarios. In the main community I was a part of I climbed to the rank of Lieutenant in the police, in another I was the 2IC of the whitelisted rebel faction and finally I was handpicked to join MI5 on another server primarily due to my excellent roleplay.
How many hours can you be on everyday?:
About 2 hours a day, admitedly less than I used to play but given that I am no longer in a whitelisted role that requires a lot of time in itself, having the freedom to perform staff duties nearly the entire time I am online should allow me to still be an asset.
Why do you want to become a moderator for our server?:
Well I've been here quite a while, I've had ups and downs but one thing I've always stood by is trying to help others as I have been helped along the way. There are a lot of members in the community that I like and the experience the server provides is bar none the best Gmod has to offer. When I was in high school and sixth form I was a volunteer swimming teacher and I still volunteer to assist in the marshalling of local sporting events in the summer, I have a track record of generally wanting to be useful. I was O-1 Commander on the UK server for a time and did what I could to help the regiment flourish.
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants?:
Being on the older end of players in the community I believe that I have gained more valuable life experience in handling conflict between people and working towards achieving an understanding and positive resolution. I have also been around on the server for some time and have gained a lot of valuable experience primarily in Omega-1 when I was the Commander for a time. Generally this indicates I have good communication, management and interpersonal skills, all of which are valuable for a member of staff. I'm rather patient and thorough in my work and approach staff work as a "quality over quantity" type deal where I am thorough with each sit, not just trying to rush through them to inflate my own apparent work done each week. I've had a massive lapse of judgement in the past which cost me dearly on the server and would like to once again take more of an active role in the community.
