Discord name: AstroYeen

For how long have you played on CG SCP: 27 days+
Age: 22

In what country are you located?: Scotland

Time zone: BST

Character name(s): Astro Zorbas

Civilian name: Michael Wilson.

What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK.

Do you have a mic?: Yes

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:

GENSEC Sergeant (Held)

GENSEC Captain (Holding)

Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:

I have received one warning for failrp due to printing out a document that contained a furry.

Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?

I'm applying to become the next Chief of Security due to not many people being in senior positions within the department, I feel if I apply, I could help out a lot more as I have shown I'm very helpful currently as a Captain. I want to get us doing more stuff such as frequent patrols when we have enough activity at d-block, assisting other departments and for our reputation to not be known as the department who messes around and constantly staying at d-block. I've really enjoyed my time in GENSEC and wish to do more by assisting it in a higher position which would help take some strain off Vetkoek.

I think this transition to Chief of Security will not only make things better within our department, in being more disciplined and competent, but the teamwork, taking responsibility, being proactive on engaging in general, also improves our relationship and cooperation with other departments by maintaining standards within GENSEC. Thus, enhancing and improving credibility and efficiency, which is so key to my desired outcome.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:

I believe I would be a suitable Chief of Security as I have recently did a lot for GENSEC, such as improving their behaviour, discipline, teaching them their duties and for them to not be misbehaving. I have also been conducting interviews on GENSEC personnel to see the issues they are having in the department and how they feel about the current Sergeants. Captains and the Chief of Security, this has allowed me to take in their feedback and to swiftly deal with the issues. I also think I would be a good Chief since out of all the Captains, I'm the most active one.

I've been making sure to do a lot for GENSEC and making it my primary focus as I do see a very bright future for it to once be great again, I'm not saying it's bad, but it could be better, and I feel with our current team it can. With a Chief spot empty it puts all the workload on Vetkoek and if the spot has someone on it who is competent and knows what he is doing, I believe we could do amazing work for GENSEC and drive it into the best direction. I have the experience for leading GENSEC and for doing the tasks a Chief would be doing; my activity would help a lot as I would be able to do more for GENSEC and have an active presence which could convince others to join us. I believe that I have leadership qualities that best suit the role. I am firm, fair, and ensure at all instances that GENSEC operates to the best capacity possible. I always take initiatives to identify and provide effective solutions to problems but at the same time develop within myself a team with a very good sense of discipline. By listening to concerns from personnel and acting in ensuring that concerns are acted upon proves my concern towards the department and its members. I am thus convinced that I would be able to make GENSEC reach higher standards and maintain professionalism, efficiency, and morale if given a chance.

What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?:

- Implementing and upholding new policies and procedures within the department.

- Ensuring D-Block remains secure from potential threats, including hostiles and SCPs.

- Coordinating cross-training exercises with other departments.

- Taking charge of sweeps during Code 2 situations if no Captains/Sergeants are available.

- Reviewing and accepting/denying Captain applications.

- Teaching new Captains their duties, what's expected from them and their quota.

- Following directives from Site Administration.

- Setting an example for all GENSEC personnel.

- Disciplining Security Captains when necessary.

- Overseeing and managing the entire Security Department.

- Making documents for the department.

- Improving and making changes to GENSEC.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Astro Zorbas was not born into greatness, nor did he seek it. Raised in a modest household, he was taught the importance of duty and honour from a young age, values instilled by his stern yet fair father. These principles shaped Astro, and he carried them with him into adulthood. At 18, feeling a call to something greater, Astro enlisted in the army. He passed his basic training with determination and discipline, quickly earning respect for his resilience. Just a month later, he was deployed. The battlefield tested him in ways he’d never imagined, but his strong sense of duty and the lessons of his upbringing guided him through every challenge. A few years later he was recruited into the Foundation as a cadet for the General Security Department. He quickly went through the ranks of Guard and Officer, he was later offered a position to be a Sergeant to which he took and passed his interview. During his time as Sergeant he made sure to keep D block safe and to carry out his duties to the best of his ability. He later decided to apply for the position of Captain, and to his surprise he was accepted. He took this chance to help improve the department and he did, he brought positive changes and helped his personnel out a lot by conducting sweeps, making sure everyone is doing alright and taking his time to do meetings with several people to discuss how GENSEC is doing. A lot of time after that he ended up getting picked to become the next Chief of Security to work alongside the other one, this is the only the start of his journey on making GENSEC the best it can be.

During the time you have been within GSD I have not seen a lot from you performing your regular and expected duties. My one question which could allow for you to prove me wrong and change my mind is what RP projects have you created to improve GSD? Even as a CPT you can make change happen and unless you do so as CPT I don’t see why you should get chief so that you can help when you already can.

Hey there,

I can ensure you that I have been following my duties as a Captain such as fulfilling my quota, dealing with complaints from GENSEC and against GENSEC personnel, having patrols, giving updates on how GENSEC is doing to my Chief and to others along with meetings with site advisors for them to see how GENSEC is doing. I don't think I've seen you around when I've been doing my duties.

Something that I have been enforcing a lot more and getting done RP wise is an ID checkpoint during a code 1 which GENSEC have been doing on their own now, and during code 5's to have a firing line ready for whenever the SCP's attempt to get into D-Block. A project that I'm currently working on is getting feedback from GENSEC via interviews to see how people are finding it and what issues they are having, this allows us to see from different perspectives so it's easier and better for us to fix the issues and to stomp out conflict that is occurring.

Within the UK server I have only interacted with you a few times, but you seem to have a good grasp on your job and decent leadership qualities. I have seen you in action on the US server quite often as well lately, and it reinforces to me that you are doing a good job. In the Departmental leads category, more experience will never really be a bad thing, but I believe you have the potential to be a good CoS. Promote this man ahead of peers. Don't prove me wrong.
