- Yes

- Executive Researcher
- Nu-7 SGT
- CI-A
- SCP-096
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- No
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
- I have held a Clearance Level 4 position for approximately five months (Executive Researcher). I am capable of making the best decisions for any situations that may present themselves. I have an understanding of what departments do and when they are overstepping or breaking rules. My judgement is fair and all personnel that I am required to speak to are treated equally, I do not see rank in these situations. I have a logistical mind and can formulate solutions to issues that arise while maintaining a calm complexation while implementing these solutions. I am able to efficiently complete any tasks assigned to me. I am capable of analysing the danger level in any situation presented to me and decreasing that in the most effective way possible. I have combat experience due to my time in Nu-7 which allows me to understand how MTF forces generally strategize and plan my instructions to take into account the proven most effective strategies. I choose my actions with maturity and foresight to ensure the safety of personnel under my command.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
- The primary task of Ethics Committee Assistants is to assist the Ethics Committee with any tasks required. These tasks could include relaying messages, observing individuals or a group of people (e.g. a department or experiment escort) to ensure Ethics protocols are being followed, overseeing experiments, etc. When not assigned a task they generally will just patrol the Site and oversee proceedings to ensure duties are being performed ethically and safely. Ethics Committee Assistants also are expected to report any major violations of the CoE to the Committee itself, where as minor violations can be dealt with by the Assistants themselves.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Jeffery "Astro" Jefferson discovered the Foundation early in his life when an anomaly manifested in his village. His parents hid him away from the Mobile Task Force that swept houses for civilians to amnesticate. The whole village was rounded up in the village centre and amnesticated. All except two children: Jeffery - and his closest friend - Boris. Unlike Boris, Jeffery was fascinated by this "Foundation" and aspired to join them. As he grew up, he became logical and analytical, and sought out the Foundation. After months of scouring any leads he could find, he decided to take a holiday in Pinewood, a small village in Canada, just outside of Site-65. "Astro" did not know about the proximity to a Foundation site. This was why it came as a shock to him when armed vehicles arrived in the village one day, and MTF squad Nu-7 designated "Hammer Down" got out of the vehicles. "Astro" saw the opportunity and took it. He snuck under one of the vehicles and held on to whatever he could. After "Astro" could hold on no longer, they arrived in the Site-65 garage. He waited for voices to die down to crawl out from under the car. As soon as he stepped foot out of the car, he noticed an Intelligence Agent staring at him. Inevitably, he was captured by the Intelligence Department and interrogated in Site-65. After a lengthy debate, "Astro" was inducted into the Research Department, where he quickly earned his nickname due to his interest in space. He rose through the ranks to become an Executive Researcher. He did his duties for a very long time - gradually improving to before one of the Directors of Research was promoted to a Site Administration position. "Astro" saw an opportunity and took it, he applied for the open Director of Research position almost immediately. Unfortunately, his application was denied. Astro took the reasoning behind the rejection in his stride and decided to set his sights on something a little bit different. Astro has always looked up to the Ethics Committee and attempted to ensure duties performed by members of the research department were as ethical as possible. After some careful consideration, Astro applied to become an Ethics Committee Assistant. Should he get accepted, he would turn his focus to the research department to establish a clear line of communication between the department and the Committee. He would also attempt to improve the GENSEC department, especially focussing upon improving the standards within the D-Block.
