What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of an Ethics Committee Member, I am applying to have a greater impact upon the Site by improving upon the RP conducted by myself to make it more enjoyable for myself and others around me, i am also applying as i believe i would be a useful asset to the current Ethics Committee Roster and wish to help those who are currently within it. It has been an aspiration of mine to join the Committee as i realised my interest in it upon obtaining my role as Executive Researcher which therefore led to me proceeding to the role of Ethics Committee Assistant to gain closer relations with those involved within the Committee. I have always been a strict enforcer of the Code of Ethics and have always revolved myself around it and i believe that this role is fitting/suiting for myself. I believe that i have gained a suitable amount of administrative experience to advance to this position as i believe it is my time to proceed further into my journey of Ethics. Furthermore, i believe that becoming apart of the Ethics Committee will allow for my interest in the server to be peaked which will enable me to make my time on the server more enjoyable as well as those around me.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
To begin, i will discuss my performance throughout my time within the facility. I began in the Research Department in which i was instantly hooked to the concept of following the Code of Ethics as well as the idea of their being an Ethics Committee which enabled a spark inside of me to invest my time into the Code of Ethics to therefore become apart of the Ethics Committee as my final goal. Upon gaining experience as a Sr. Researcher by encouraging others to abide by the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, Hosting lectures relating to the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct as well as improving upon my own work ethic alongside my professionalism onsite, i became an Executive Researcher. As an Executive Researcher, my capabilities began to grow, my professionalism increased tremendously my dedication to enforcing the CoE and CoC grew alongside this as i began to take a more administrative position with the Research Department: correcting Ethical mistakes, Misconduct as well as continuing to host lectures regarding the CoE and CoC on a regular basis. This also allowed me to exponentially improve upon my Internal and External documentation (Ethics Documents/Research Documents). Upon doing this, i was able to gain enough recognition to become an Assistant of the Ethics Committee. Upon becoming an assistant this allowed me to develop more administrative feats such as dealing with Misconduct and Ethical Violations, Learning more about the Code of Ethics and more efficient ways to enforce it as well as further improve upon my professionalism and improving my documentation work. With this role allowed me to build relations with my peers within the site and allowed for me to learn how to effectively communicate with others (Internally and Externally). I then took interest in the role of Security Captain, despite my time holding this role being short it allowed me to further develop leadership skills, communication and disciplinary/administrative feats. This time spent developing these feats allowed me to become apart of the Site Administration department as a Site Advisor. The time spent as an Advisor, allowed me to develop my crucial administrative skills, documentation work (Internal External), communication skills, allowed me to develop relations with peers within the site further and finalised my professional behaviour which allowed me to be a heavy enforcer of the Code of Ethics and Conduct through this important role i was holding. Upon Becoming a Site Director these skills further grew upon until this present point in which i am a professional image, a perfect example of administrative enforcement, a excessive document writer as well as a strong upholder of high standards and the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
My activity On-Site has always been consistent as i love spending time on site (My activity the past week has been somewhat limited due to me being on a logged ROA for personal issues IRL however these issues have subsided and therefore i will be resorting back to my full expected activity. I also believe that i have positive relations with all members of Current Site Command which will allow for more effective communication due to a lack of grudges/disagreements between myself and other individuals. I am well acquainted with most of the Site which allows many to feel comfortable to speak to me and allows many to understand my administrative capabilities which will lead to me being a respected member of the Ethics Committee.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
The Ethics Committee are upheld with multiple responsibilities such as the following:
The most important role of the Committee is to Manage/Change/Enforce the Code of Ethics by ensuring that it is being followed by all members of the site as well as making adjustments/changes to the Code of Ethics if it is decided upon. The Ethics Committee deal with high ranking ethical issues within departments/regiments around the site via Tribunals, Job Removals etc. They ensure that the Site is running optimally alongside the O5 Council (The other side of Site Command)
The Ethics Committee can grant approval for Keter to Keter class cross testing and 914 Organic Testing etc. Helping to Enforce Code Blacks (Evacuation Procedures)
Grant approval for things such as Advanced Armoury in the absence of a member of Site Administration or Mass termination of dclass if it is required and many more situations requiring approval from Site Command etc.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
The Ethics Committee, help to deliver verdicts upon the following applications:
-Ethics Committee Member's (Give votes within the Committee/Opinions)
-Ethics Committee Assistants
-Director Of Internal Affairs (Decided alongside the O5 Council)
-Director Of Medicine
-Similar to Site Administration, the Ethics Committee conduct reviews of the departments/regiments of Site 65
-Announce changes to the Code of Ethics
-Gathering evidence for tribunals or writing documentation for the Committee or Chairman
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
The snow glistened along the gravel path that lay ahead,
Bailey had returned to Site-32
Memories began to pour in and flood his mind as he continued down the path to begin his exploration of the desolate site.
He had volunteered to do an exploration of the previous Canadian SCP Containment Site prior to Site-65. His mission was to discover the remnant of documentation that was destined to be held within the Site.
This documentation is to be handed towards the current Ethics Committee to learn from the mistakes made by the previous Site-32.
He had reached the containment gates of the Site alongside his 2 escorts, MTF Nu-7 SGT Archangel Dan and MTF Nu-7 SPC Archangel Beckham.
Beckham: "Are you going to tell us why you've dragged us out to a random facility yet"
Dan: "Be Quiet
Specialist, we do not yet know what might still be lingering inside.
Bailey M: "Most likely nothing, just the remains of a tragedy.
Dan: "What Tragedy?"
Bailey M: "The SCP-096-1-A incident that is all I'll say"
Beckham: "What is that?"
Bailey M: "I could show you the document, but then I would have to kill you."
Beckham: "Stop joking and just show us"
*Beckham snatches the document held onto Bailey M's waist via a clipboard*
*The echo of a Semi-Automatic M1911 shakes the surrounding forest and bounces off the walls of the heavy containment Site gates*
Bailey M: "I made myself very clear, come on we have more important matters to attend to"
*Echoing footsteps as Bailey M and Dan enter the garage of the facility*
*Crunching of snow in the tree lines*
CI-D ??? (Radio Communication) : If the Ethics Committee gain the documentation in that facility our take over will be near impossible
*CI-A X2 stepping over the body of Beckham*
CI-A #1: "Look at this document, this will be interesting to take back to base" (Whispered)
*CI-A#1 takes the document that still lay in Beckhams warm but subsiding hands*
*Classified Document In Beckhams Hands*
