What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
Beyond the experience, I think what makes me a solid candidate is that I'm easy to approach, both in and out of RP. People feel comfortable coming to me, which honestly matters a lot in a role that's built around handling sensitive situations and ethical issues. I'm also confident, responsible, and I know how to lead when it's needed without overstepping.
I'm well familiar with both the FLC and the Code of Ethics, and how they actually apply in practice. Lately I've been spending most of my time playing as Sr. Researcher, Sr. Doctor, Combat Medic and Containment Unit.
I'm not here to claim I'm the best person who ever applied. I just know I'm capable, I know the role, and I'm ready to prove it again
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The core job of an ECA is making sure the Code of Ethics is being followed across the site at all times. That means actively moving around the facility, watching over experiments, keeping an eye on D-Block, checking in on different departments, rather than just sitting around waiting for something to go wrong.
ECAs work directly under the Ethics Committee and carry out tasks on their behalf. Because of that, they're essentially a direct reflection of what the EC stands for, so professionalism and ethical conduct aren't optional, they're expected at all times.
Part of the role also involves addressing ethical concerns as they come up. That could be flagging unprofessional behavior, stepping in when an experiment crosses a line, or reporting unethical terminations. If something serious happens, it should be brought back to the Ethics Committee with evidence.
ECAs also work closely alongside O-1, who escort them when there are no ECM's on-site, so they can do their job freely and safely around the site. On top of that, they act as a communication bridge, keeping the Ethics Committee informed about what's happening across other regiments and departments.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

SUMMARY OF PRIOR EVENTS
Miyu 'boku' ██████, was born in Portugal to a mother who worked within Foundation support staff. Her father, ████ ██████, had abandoned the family early in Miyu's life, later confirmed to have defected to the Chaos Insurgency, where he rose to a field operative position. At the age of 16, the Foundation made contact with Miyu, identifying her academic profile as a potential asset. She accepted, and over the following years climbed through the Research Department, eventually reaching the rank of Executive Researcher at Site-65.
During a large-scale Chaos Insurgency raid on Site-65, Miyu encountered her father in the field for the first time. What followed was a prolonged one-on-one confrontation that left both parties severely injured. Miyu made the decision to terminate him. No hesitation was recorded. The Ethics Committee, led by Chairman 'Eidolon', took note of this and shortly after extended an offer to Miyu to join as an Ethics Committee Assistant, an offer she accepted.

The Chairman of the Ethics Committee aswell as it's members noticed Miyu's bravery by killing his own father with no remorse for the greater good of the facility.
'boku' in January 20th of ████, was kidnapped by a Mobile Task Force █████-█, taking him to see the Chairman of the Ethics Committee, 'Eidolon', aswell as a member of the Ethics. Miyu was scared, panicking, was he being ambushed by the CI group again? Since he was the new Executive Researcher on-site, it would make sense CI were kidnapping him.
As he arrived at the ████████ Room, they unblindfolded Miyu and started recording the conversation.

<STARTING RECORD PROTOCOL IN ██>
'Eidolon' : Hello, Miyu.
Miyu : Eidolon?
'Eidolon' : Yes, it's me. We have been watching you recently, you shall not worry, you have been doing really great, how are you enjoying Site-65?
Miyu : Uh? I'm confused, why was I kidnapped? Uh... Yes... Everyone is great... Yea, everyone seems to be... Uh... really cool... I'm still really confused Mr. Eido...
'Eidolon' : Calm down, it's only safety measures, nothing really personal. However, I'm satisfied to hear that you've being enjoying your stay. We have been watching your steps, your researches, your documents, we saw that incident between you and your father.
Miyu : I needed to defend myself, it was either him or the foundation!
'Eidolon' : I get that don't worry, you're really brave. Moving on to what really matters, I brought you here because the Ethics Committee have seen great potential on you, and we are offering you a bigger spot in the foundation.
Miyu : Can you explain to me what is it about?
'Eidolon' : Being our assistant, upholding the CoE, being ethical, making sure everyone remains ethical. I'm not going into much detail but you've probably seen some of my assistants.
Miyu : Can I still do my experiments as an Executive Researcher? It would be a shame if I couldn't...
Member of the Ethics : Yes, you can. Not only that, you can also supervise experiments to make sure they are ethical.
'Eidolon' : Exactly.
Miyu : It would be an honour to serve the Ethics.
'Eidolon' : Wonderful. Mr. ████████, escort Miyu to the Server Room, and explain his duties, would you?
Member of the Ethics : Yes, of course. Congratulations, Miyu. I will go through your training now.
Miyu served as ECA for several months, performing her duties with consistency and professionalism.
Then, she disappeared.
PERIOD OF ABSENCE: ██/██/2024 — ██/██/2026
Duration: Approximately 2 years
Status during absence: Untracked / Presumed Inactive
Following her time as ECA, Miyu formally requested an indefinite leave of absence from Site-65. The request was approved without much pushback, her record was clean, her contributions documented. No one expected she wouldn't come back for two years.
What very few people knew was why she left.
After killing her father during the CI raid, Miyu had buried the questions. She focused on work, on the Code of Ethics, on being useful. But over time, the silence became louder. She needed to know who he really was. What he believed in. Why he chose the Chaos Insurgency over his own family. Whether there were others like him, people she might be connected to without knowing it.
So she left.
For two years, Miyu operated alone. No Foundation support, no official sanction. She moved through CI-adjacent locations, using skills picked up from years on-site to conduct deep cover infiltrations, slow, methodical, ghost-like entries into CI outposts and safe houses, never engaging unless forced to, always prioritising documents over confrontation. She funded herself through odd work and moved between countries, following threads that always seemed to lead somewhere promising before going cold.
She came back empty handed.
Whatever records existed about her father's time within the Chaos Insurgency had either been destroyed, moved, or were buried so deep that reaching them alone was simply not possible. She found fragments, a name here, a location there, but nothing that gave her the closure she was looking for. Nothing that answered the real question.
She returned to Site-65 quietly, in the early hours, with nothing but a bag and two years worth of CI documentation she had collected along the way, none of it personally relevant, but potentially useful to the Foundation regardless.
REINSTATEMENT REQUEST LOG
Date: ██/██/████ | Site-65 | Office of the Ethics Committee Chairwoman
Upon her return, Miyu did not immediately seek to reclaim her ECA position. Instead, she spent the first few weeks reintegrating — picking up Combat Medic work and returning to research on a smaller scale, partly out of habit and partly because she wasn't sure where she stood anymore. The site had changed. The Ethics Committee had changed. Chairman 'Eidolon' was gone. The seat now belonged to Chairwoman Alexandria Roselle.
Miyu knew she had to do this properly.
She requested a formal meeting with Chairwoman Alexandria Roselle and the current Ethics Committee members — Ji-Hoon Woo, Michael Jenkins, and Kenji Tanaka. The meeting was granted.
<Begin Log>Alexandria Roselle: [looks toward the members] Thoughts?
[09:47 | Site-65 | ██/██/████ | Ethics Committee Office]
Alexandria Roselle: So. You're 'boku'.
Miyu: Yes, ma'am.
Alexandria Roselle: I've read your file. Both of them. The parts that weren't redacted, anyway. You were ECA under Eidolon's tenure, left without much explanation, and now you're back. What do you want, Miyu?
Miyu: I want to come back. Properly. As ECA again.
Ji-Hoon Woo: You've been gone two years. A lot has changed here.
Miyu: I know. I'm not pretending otherwise.
Michael Jenkins: Where were you?
Miyu: Chasing answers about my father. CI documents, locations, contacts. I came back with nothing personal. But I have documentation that may be of value to the Foundation.
Kenji Tanaka: You were running unsanctioned solo operations against a hostile group for two years and came back with nothing. That's either impressive dedication or poor judgement. Maybe both.
Miyu: Probably both.
Alexandria Roselle: [pause] I'm not Eidolon. I don't do things the same way he did. If you come back under me, you come back with full accountability. Clean record going forward, no side operations, no personal agendas on Foundation time. Can you do that?
Miyu: Yes.
Alexandria Roselle: And the Combat Medic work, the research — you want to keep that going alongside ECA duties?
Miyu: If it's permitted. I think it makes me more useful, not less. I know what's happening on the ground because I've been working it.
Ji-Hoon Woo: Her prior record speaks for itself. Two clean terms as ECA. That's not nothing.
Michael Jenkins: She's been on the ground since she got back. Combat Medic, research — she's not been sitting around. That tells me something.
Kenji Tanaka: Two years is a long time to be gone. I'd want to know she's still the same person who earned that position twice before.
Alexandria Roselle: [turns back to Miyu] You'll hear from us, Miyu. This isn't a decision I make on the spot, regardless of your history here. You understand that.
Miyu: Of course. I appreciate you hearing me out, Chairwoman.
Alexandria Roselle: Don't thank me yet. You're dismissed.
