Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
I really do enjoy the Role Play that is provided through the medical roles on this server and I believe that it is immersive and possibly has the best actual Role Play on the server. I have already made some sheets, documenting my activities and will help encourage newer players to main Medical and also partake in the heavy RP in the Medical Centre.

What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I am familiar with Medical RP and believe I am a great teacher. This makes me suitable as players will be more inclined to want to continue with Medical if they are continuously learning and bettering themselves constantly. My strive for greatness will rub off on those whom I am in situations with as I will always ensure a balance of fun and realistic RP. I also am very dedicated to the roles I push for and will put full effort into creating a gratifying experience with those I play with.

Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Healing a Fracture:
This is my personal favourite situation as it provides several RP opportunities in a single scenario.
For example, context is always a great starter for these situations as it decides my approach to treating the patient, whether it came from falling from heights or a bullet wound. I go more in depth with a fracture heal as it provides something more than scan, drug and then they are off. The benefits of this is people can understand what I am doing and how I am dealing with such scenarios. If it was a bullet wound, I would begin putting pressure on where the wound is and removing the bullet, then proceeding to tightly wrap it with a bandage to slow / prevent bleeding and infection. I would not use alcohol on the cut as it would slow the healing process and be more damaging to the patient. I would then ‘prescribe’ antibiotics to the patient in order to prevent infection to the exposed wound and after a certain period of time stitch the cut up.

What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
To ensure that all trainees become experienced and knowledgeable with the system of the game and receive their Medical Licence after completing training. Also, I would host regular ‘training’ to ensure that all people with their Licences are still competent and up to date with all things related to Medicine.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
My character was born and raised in Birmingham, England hence the nickname ‘Brum’. Studied sciences for many years and eventually went on to University where they studied Medicine for 5 years and completed Surgical training afterwards. Whilst in University, ‘Brum’ enrolled in the military and was recruited as an Officer, being deployed overseas to help aid our soldiers. When returned from overseas was presented with an opportunity to facilitate medicine at a secretive and secure underground site which tested on rare and dangerous creatures. ‘Brum’ leaped at the chance and has been a valuable member of the Medical Staff since being recruited.
I am aware my play time on the SCP is not extensive, however my presence in the Medical team will not go unnoticed if given this chance to really enhance Role Play in the foundation.
