Please do keep in mind that all of these are from over the course of 5 months total and from playing as minge jobs such as CD and Chefs, they should not be associated with my more professional profile as an IA Agent
- Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?
I have wanted to be IA Ambassador for quite some time now, even going as far as having a hunger strike in discord which lasted almost a week. I am applying to be an Internal Affairs Ambassador because I am constantly on-site without an ambassador (because of our different timezones and work lives) and I am constantly seeing members of O-1 and other MTF regiment units breaking the Code of Ethics and going completely unpunished.
Of course I report them to their CO's, but that will not stop the action as it happens. I am also seeing completely new agents break every code known to man, which obviously is an issue. However, I am a firm believer in the tactic of positive reinforcement, and rather than simply arresting them or removing them from Internal Affairs entirely, I would rather reinforce their exemplary behaviour with compliments and such, and teach them how to do what we do the best they can. However, I will not hesitate to remove said Agent from their position for a reasonable amount of time if the need arises, of course after a brief discussion with Roual or any other Director about such important matters.
- What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
I joined Internal Affairs a long time ago, with over 4 months of IA experience under my belt, including numerous arrests. I have trained many new operatives over this time, and have had many interactions with Civilians and GENSEC reporting foundation personnel. I have had many fun RP interactions as an IA main over these past 4 months.
I am suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador because I have in-depth knowledge of the Code of Ethics, the Code of Conduct, the Research Department Policy, the GENSEC Department Policy, the DIA Department Policy, and the full Legal Codex. I have enforced all of these, including many arrests under my hat. I have the knowledge required to train new Agents, to guide them when they are in distress, as well as the skillset required to enforce it. I can respond to calls very fast and know my way around the facility and where almost every SCP's CC is for a fast ETA.
I also feel very attached to the IA Department, and wish to lead it to a more organized and responsible fashion compared to it's current state. I have put a great deal of time into playing as IA, even making an In-Depth Internal Affairs Handbook for newer agents, or to act as a crash course for returning agents, which has been proofread by Dpt. Director Roual Maot. This handbook also includes simplified and printable versions of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and Legal Codex.
- How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
I keep my document-writing quite hesitant, as I do not want to overwhelm the SCPinet with useless documents. I make documents on interesting and relevant cases, such as 1.03, 1.11, 2.01, etc. I have written 6 special arrest reports in my time, excluding those which are not uploaded and have (most likely) been deleted since. Over the last 4 months of being IA, I have found that murder cases and trespassing cases that I made during my first days as IA were quite normalized and mundane, which is why I have deleted those previous reports before uploading, in order to reduce clutter on the SCPinet site.
There are a multitude of factors that go into grading an IA document:
- Detail of incident description;
- Title of document for easy relocation;
- Relevance of the case (N/A if Duty Report);
- Formatting / Layout of the document;
- Quality of redaction when necessary;
- Honesty;
- Grammar / Punctuation / Spelling (obvious exceptions if suffering from medical conditions, dyslexia, etc. However this should be mentioned in the document's credits);
- Readability of the document for reader
- What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?:
The responsibilities of an ambassador are to manage the Internal Affairs Department, in the absence/orders of the Director of Internal Affairs. It should also be to lend an ear or a helping hand to agents who need it, which would require you to stay on the frequency and be ready to answer questions at all times. Also a great deal of responsibility falls on the Ambassador, as they are being trusted with a CL4 keycard.
Another responsibility is to divide up the department. For example, assigning agents to certain duties (obviously following the guidelines of the Code of Conduct and DIA Policy), which ambassadors no longer do. Former Internal Affairs Ambassador Thorgrim von Baeyer used to do it during his time; however, it is no longer done now and the entire department lacks both order and structure.
Meetings like those divide up Agents, will stop 3 Agents from being in CDC at any given time which is an issue, as well as giving order and structure to the department as a whole which the department lacks. Reviewing/grading IA arrest reports and IA duty reports are also a big responsibility for IA ambassadors, as well as giving feedback and telling said Agent how they can improve their document's quality.
- Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Bush von Mann, formerly known as Von Mann, is a former R&D for the Chaos Insurgency.
After watching Chaos brutally experiment on SCP-323 and watching his comrades die, he felt the urge to stop the foundation from taking their lives by convincing his comrades to stop the violence and make peace with the foundation. After seeing the rage in their eyes, he learned that they would never stop their hopeless crusade. He then tried convincing the SCP Foundation to release the SCP's and stop the war with the Chaos Insurgency.
They declined, and decided to take him in and interrogate him for information. Many awful experiments were conducted, which ultimately ended in the loss of his hair. After seeing his loyalty to the CI, the foundation's O5 decided that he could be of use, and amnestized and brainwashed Von Mann in order to turn him against the CI. His loyalty lies with the foundation to this day, as he goes on with his duties as an Internal Affairs Ambassador, blissfully unaware of his gruesome past.
Bush knows how to have a good time off-duty, but while on duty he is a loyal professional and a hard worker, and will not hesitate to arrest when the need arises; despite not being as cruel with his arrests compared to other agents on site, he will always lend a helping hand to those who need it.
