Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
I'm applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador as I believe after a couple of weeks back to properly reintegrate into the server as it is now, I'm ready to elevate my work in Internal Affairs to a CL4 position to enable me to make my work more accessible to more departments, as well as assisting other Agents/Operatives of the Department to conduct work at a higher quality. I've come to seriously enjoy Internal Affairs after choosing to work with it on a whim upon my return and I think that I have a lot to offer in terms of documentation, quality roleplay and a drive to assist the Department in performing fun and engaging work with as many other Departments across the Site as possible.
-
What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
I have a plethora of experience across many aspects of the Site which I believe gives me a strong base as a candidate for a CL4 position, with my experience ranging from MTF CO, to Site Administration, all the way to Site Command with the O5 Council. I have experienced working for a Department, overseeing a Department and managing major RP decisions that affect the whole Site first hand, these things give me insight into how to take responsibilities that an Ambassador will need as part of their job.

I also believe I have created and am actively participating in excellent quality roleplay that players have experienced, ranging from engaging and unique interrogations with Chaos Insurgency members, to secretive operations that have involved various players around the Site, Omega-1, Alpha-1 and both branches of Site Command, as well as actively helping some Game Masters or Staff with their event, the easiest examples coming to mind being some of Scotsman's recent spontaneous roleplay scenarios.

I have also been working on plenty of documents to a high quality in regards to reports, operations and investigations that have supplemented my roleplay. I have made sure to make this paper trail of my work to show off my document writing skills, as well as provide evidence that I am engaging in situations that show I am happy to engage frequently with different players often, which is the mindset needed for someone to be in a CL4 position.
-
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:

Across my time in CN for SCP-RP, I've written dozens of documents, I'd easily estimate over 40. These can range from extremely minor reports or messages between Departments on lower clearance jobs, to full Site Policy updates or changes, Department Reviews when they existed, Operation Reports for RP scenarios on the Site and more.

These documents all have different target audiences, and I believe that is where a document is made good; adapting it to your audience. Making your work readable and understandable to the people you know need to read it, providing the correct information in an organised and digestable fashion. It is vital that you understand how to get the information in your head down onto the paper, so it can get into the heads of others. Putting the right amount of effort in for your work while also being considerate that people will think differently to you will make documentation engaging and enjoyable to read.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?:
Internal Affairs Ambassadors have various responsibilities, ranging from their obligations within the Department to those that reach more across the Site. I will list each duty as a bullet point and then expand upon them.

Guide Agents and Operatives - As an Ambassador, CL3 members of the Department look up to you. You should be able to have the leadership needed to help these players perform their role on the job easily, giving them assistance with some questions or problems they might be having where needs be. You could also assign certain tasks to specific units, relating to Operations or Investigations, to slowly induct newer players into the more refined gameplay loop in relation to what Internal Affairs can do RP-wise. You should also be looking for new talent in the Department that could join the pipeline to Ambassador, as new faces are always needed for innovation. You also will need to perform trainings to onboard new players into the role for the first time.

Create roleplay for the Department and others - As a CL4 position, Ambassador enables you to create roleplay scenarios with a bit more freedom than usual. You are able to create Operations from scratch that can be approved by the Directors, which will allow the Department and your targeted focus group to engage in RP together, while learning some strengths and weaknesses of other areas of the Site. You also can perform or enlist others to help you perform private investigations. Internal Affairs is focused on the functioning of the Site in an orderly fashion; those trying to disrupt that order are part of our job to focus on and identify the causes and how to fix it. This enables investigations, interrogations and actionable outcomes that IA as a whole can engage in.

Abide and Enforce the FLC - As mentioned above, IA as a whole is to ensure the Site functions in an orderly fashion, this is done through our enforcement of the Foundation Legal Codex. We have the ability to arrest those breaking the Codex if the situation is minor and can be solved by simply taking the suspect to the Interrogation area to be processed, or if it is more major and can have implications for roleplay, can then be escalated to Department Leads or have Tribunal/Hearings created out of it, which enables us to create roleplay from our gameplay loop.

Innovate IA to keep up with the developments of the Site - It is not just the responsibility of the two Directors of IA to develop the Department; Ambassadors have expected work to do as well in terms of behind the scenes work, and a good Ambassador also would be willing to make their opinion heard on matters relating to management, the FLC and additionally how we function with other Departments cohesively.
