What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:

I am applying for Ethics Committee Member.

I am applying for ECM because of my strong, and non-wavering passion for the Ethics Committee and the server. If I become an ECM, not only would have reached a long time goal of mine but I also would be able to be the backbone of what helps keep this server going. I also want to drive others to be great as I think that especially people who are new to the server, and just general players are greatly influenced by higher ranking people like ECMs and I want them to have a good impression on the Committee, the server and the RP it holds. From the moment I became an ECA I loved being within Ethics and I think my tenure of over 1 year can back that up. Finally I think it will better me and benefit me in the best ways, I believe it will help me realize more about the server which will help me fix issues that I could resolve and help me improve my RP for everyone.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:

First let me begin with:

1. My plans:
- Omega-1: Recently I have noticed that Omega-1 does not have any storyline going on and as such I want to introduce one as I think it would be fun for everyone to partake in and it would keep their RP skills in check. Secondly I would want to assist Omega-1 RP with departments they do not RP with frequently E.G. DEA.

- ECA: I think as of this moment, ECAs are perfectly fine except I would want to bring forward a few more orders that would be fun for them all to partake in.

- ISD: In my opinion, from what I see come of ISD I think that right now they are in a very good spot so I don't think there is much to help them on. However I would like to give them a fun murder mystery RP order to do which can be assisted with by a GM.

2. Roleplay:
Now, I will admit my RP abilities do need improvement, however I think I demonstrate good RP capabilities and I always aim to improve them. I will push my RP to the peak of my abilities and ensure I can provided good RP for everyone.

3. Experience:
I have been an ECA for over 1 year, showing I have lots of experience within the Ethics Committee, and in this time I have seen plenty of ECMs come and go. With every new ECM I learnt something new and I have always kept it in mind for when I become an ECM which leads me to believe I am well prepared to take on this role.

4. Goals:
My main overall goals are to better the site, Omega-1 and the ECAs. From RP to combat to good teamwork. I also strive to improve my RP far beyond what I used to imagine I could do, there is always room for improvement.

5. General things:
On the more general side of things, I believe I show a good understanding of the Committee and what they stand for. I believe I show good initiative, leadership, trustworthiness, teamwork, document writing, I am reliable and efficient with my work. I think that all of these contributes makes me the best candidate for ECM.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:

The most important one, create Roleplay for the site and everyone on the server!
Keep the Overseer Council in line and execute primary action if it is needed.
Work with fellow FCOM members to manage the site from the shadows.
Oversee the Internal Security Department.
Reprimand any high ranking personnel that have been unethical.
Handle IC complaints on Ethics Committee Assistants.
Appoint a new Omega-1 Commander if there is currently none.
Give MTF Omega-1 orders and investigations to do.
Represent the Ethics Committee / Foundation in meetings and interactions with the GOC.
Represent the Ethics Committee in meetings and interactions with other Foundation staff.
Judge tribunals on high ranking personnel if required.
Authorize the use of Advanced Armory in the case of a bad breach.
Use Ethics Committee Assistants as proxies and to uphold site-wide ethicality.
Ensure that D-Class are being used and treated appropriately.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):

Pre-plan storylines and Roleplay for the site.
Liaison with O5 members to discuss current Roleplay on the server or other concerns that should be taken Out Of Character.
Handle the applications for Director of the Internal Security Department and Ethics Committee Assistants.
Give a input and vote on a Ethics Committee Member application although the Chairman has final say.
Hold meetings with CL4 and CL5 if needed to discuss something important.
Handle OOC complaints on Ethics Committee Assistants.
Review and process demotion appeals if it comes to such a level.

Hey Broda, so first of all, RP I have run and lead lately I will give 2 examples of very recent ones and if you want more examples or more detail I will be happy to provide:

1. Recently E11's security proved to be quite lacking so I spoke to them, had an open floor, we all discussed it and then I helped them set up a training to improve their security. This both benefits E11 and gives O1 something to do which is getting them involved in stuff which is always good.
2. I lead discussions about a poster I thought was very stupid in which I wanted it to be taken down and SA refused this, suddenly it "mysteriously" goes missing and it leads to SA and ISD investigating me due to my public hate for it and I am going to see if I can get it into a tribunal.

As for my plans for O-1, please check my first point in what makes me the best candidate.

As for an order that could lead to some good RP would possibly be an investigation in which it would begin with normal department audits and interviews but more and more people would report of supplies and D-Class going missing and no trace being left behind. This would lead ECAs to find out who could be doing this by observing if anyone is over extracting D-Class and following them discreetly, as for the supplies see if they can get ISD involved to keep an eye around. It could end with them finding out who was doing it and bringing them to Tribunal.

You don't elaborate on what story you'd like to do though, be sure to not give empty promises like many applicants before you have done.

What do you mean by "keeping RP skills in check"?

Its a far better app than before Cain but you gotta tick all the boxes, you are close though
 
You've missed a massive opportunity to describe the Committees purpose and you've mainly just outlined what they do on the server on a day to day. What is the Committee, why is it important, what are the consequences of the Committee being non-existent?

Your goals on the other hand are relatively bland and are comparable to previous ECMs who did nothing but keep up the norm. You state ECAs and ISD are in good positions and you'd give them some other side roleplay or orders to do, but why mention this at all if they're perfectly fine?

I think you've made heaps of progress in developing yourself on the server but I still feel you lack the understanding of tangible long-term Roleplay ability. Who cares, though? The RP quality on the server has shit the bed anyways.
