Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?

There are a few reasons overall, for starters, my experience within the Medical Department and the server as a whole. Since first joining CN roughly 4 years ago, and being a part of the Medical team not long after, it has been what I kept coming back to, no matter what position I held. During my CN retirement, I'd come back a couple of times to see how Medical is doing, and I'm now ready to lead the Medical Department into continued greatness.

Secondly, I plan on being able to branch Medical RP out further than what is usually expected, which would be allowed more easily in the Director position, including working alongside UNGOC more, enabling new or experimental treatments and being able to explore further Medical situations, such as anomalous tumors, offering limb replacement surgeries at an easier rate than having to wait for a donor.

Finally, I think harking back to my experience, I'm ready to step into the heels of a Director Position, having a reasonable amount of CL4 experience prior.

What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:

I'm suitable for the Director position because whenever on site, I always attempt to have an RP situation happening, or ready to happen, whether that be with a member of Medical, planning a therapy session with an O5 member, or treating my character's own Medical situations (I understand this is not exactly as public as others).

My professionalism, for the most part, is solid. There are moments where either emotions take over for a few moments, or moments mostly during downtime/lesser RP situations that there are more comedic moments, and so I'm not, and hopefully wouldn't be seen as a pencil pusher for the Department. Also on this point, during my time as a Consultant, the only 'Disciplinary' I have received was for a bad joke, receiving a minimal PT.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:

- Work with the other Director and SA/SC to hire Consultants
- Create appropriate and good Medical RP in all aspects, from a simple knee surgery to documenting an assistant's alcohol problems and beyond.
- Assist in training Medical Staff for all positions (Licensed Doctor, Combat Medic etc.)
- Be ready to assist and answer questions regarding Medical on both IC and OOC levels to the best of my knowledge.
- Manage, oversee and guide the Medical Leadership Team
- Keeping active whenever possible
- Keeping in constant contact for any and all situations that involve SA, along with those situations that may involve SC
- Keeping IC and OOC documents updated and refreshed.
- Having the final say on situations such as updating policies, templates and the likes.
- Keeping Medical Orders active and alive, either by direct encouragement or monetary encouragement.
- Upholding the reputation and trust of the Medical Department

Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Department head of Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, Caitlyn Beauchêne MDCM, started her medical journey at McGill University, spending four long and laborious years to achieve the MDCM, Medicinæ Doctorem et Chirurgiæ Magistrum. Though after finding difficulty in the career market, Caitlyn found herself on the front lines within the Canadian Armed Forces, being commissioned as a Medical Officer, though thanks to a mix of her expertise and assistance with higherups during conflicts, Caitlyn found herself at the rank of Major, and upon halfway through her second year of service, starting at Age 26, Caitlyn found a proper career as an Attending Physician at Toronto General, gaining further expertise.

Through a mix of time and effort, Caitlyn eventually landed the position of Department Head of Surgery at age 32, and thankfully, after the years of pushing her body and mind, Caitlyn was happy with her current position and life. Yet on a Tuesday summer afternoon, an intriguing email arrived, stating a position was available within 'Site-65', Saskatchewan. Despite her initial refusal, due to the relocation and achievement of her current position, Caitlyn eventually took the job thanks to enough persuasion from the Director of Medicine ███████, involving access to Medicine and Technology that could not be dreamed of by a Civilian, finding herself as an on-site Consultant.

On her very first day on Site-65, joining in a tour with other CL4 personnel, they reached the Containment Chamber of SCP-682. During the tour, the E-11 private leading the tour got distracted, and so upon attempting to feed SCP-682 a slab of meat, the bite reached further than it should have, resulting in her arm being eaten at the ligament of her elbow. Immediately rushed up to the Medbay, she was amputated on, and all limbs connected below her shoulder were removed, causing her to have to get a Cybernetic Prosthetic from Anderson Robotics. Despite this situation, she had continued to thrive within the Department, attaining the position of Director of Medicine, and continued to assist any and all members of Medical, along with members of Site Personnel, in scenarios where she could help. Though this was all still relatively new, just months since she was first hired, the strange, unique and wonderful was becoming more and more normal day by day.
