Why are you applying for Site Advisor?:
Since I began my time in External Affairs, and proceeded through my career to OSA Factotum, A-1 Sergeant and then finally, Director of External Affairs, I've always wanted to be able to create roleplay on a site-wide level. While leading External Affairs, I've done my hardest to create various roleplay scenarios and make the gameplay engaging so that people truly commit themselves to the department. Now, as of writing this, the Department is in a great spot at the moment. We have active, competent CL4 and CL3 personnel who focus more on roleplay than just surface PVP, and it makes me genuinely proud to see. I'm hoping that Site Administration can be my next step up the Foundation ladder to increase both my responsibilities and opportunities. In the past, I've attempted to go straight for FCOM, but I think that the best path forward is to fully open my eyes and get experience in creating roleplay on a foundation-wide level more often before progressing further. Site Administration, as both a non-combative and extremely flexible position, interaction-wise, opens the most doors for me while playing and can provide many opportunities for character development and storyline creation with pretty much every Department on the server.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
I'll go over a few things here one by one that make me the most suitable candidate for Site Administration:
Major RP Creation
To start, I've been at the forefront of many major storylines ongoing throughout the site with both the Foundation and other groups of players which have been incredibly fun to get involved with. For one, every incident on-site regarding the 'Sarkic Cult' was RP entirely created, from scratch, by me and Director Thorn to create something engaging for people to stick themselves in. Through various dupes, youtube videos, and even unexpected assistance from the GM and Event Teams, we managed to make it a site-wide storyline which several players have used to develop their own characters, particularly ones of a Sarkic influence. This RP has shown my ability to get multiple departments involved with a scenario, entirely of mine and Thorn's own creation, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved so far and how long it has been going on for.
Moving on, the entire GOC debauchle was something I strived to make the most out of. Through various interactions with other players, I managed to make some engaging, unique RP that actually forced people's characters to act- well, as a character. Someone with their own moral ideals and lines. While we never went through with any alleged 'treason' plots, it still served as an anchor point for further RP to happen.
Departmental Management
Since I've been DEA Director, I think the department has improved massively in both performance, RP engagement and general playerbase. Though none of it would have been possible without my amazing Co-Director and CL4 team, I feel that my new ideas helped push the department through the cracks and become something people actually pay attention to more. Even with recent events on the server being rather high-tension, it is still much more activity than DEA was previously known to engage in, and I am happy to advocate for it. Some of the policies I've recently introduced which have, in my eyes, vastly improved the department are the merit system (which ties into our 'DEA of the month' award where the person with the most merits for that month is given £50,000 for their work), the reintroduction of Senior Agent tryouts which make the position much easier to gain, and finally the monthly department meetings which help to steer things in a particular direction, thus allowing the department to function seemlessly.
Experience
I have experienced a huge portion of the Foundation and even the other factions, particularly the GOC. Be it as a member of MTF E-11 or Nu-7 in my earlier days, or currently as a Department Director, I've got all the necessary experience to ascend to a role in Site Administration. With the various perspectives I have, I'm confident I can help every department we currently have on-site thrive. Furthermore, as an Overseer Assistant, I'm acutely aware of Foundation Command's roleplay and how they interact with the rest of the site, which is incredibly important for a member of Site Administration, given the O5 often liaises with them to implement site policy.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Policy Creation & Revision
Site Administration is the primary body within Site-65 responsible for creating, revising and announcing new policies across the site. These may include guidelines on checkpoints, weapon usage, staff treatment, or anything else which requires clarification and administration. Furthermore, they may act as a stand-in for the O5 Council when they wish to push their own policies.
Emergency Management
During facility codes, Site Administration is responsible for organising Foundation combative forces and managing the response. This includes authorising the usage of AA, FSL and Code Black if necessary. Furthermore, Site Administration, along with FCOM are the only people able to manually call in ERT if it is deemed necessary.
Middle-Men
Site Administration is expected to help handle incidents between departments on-site, acting as a neutral entity. In addition, they should also act as middle-men between FCOM and the rest of the site to maintain info-security and general site stability.
Department Oversight
Site Administration is responsible for overseeing every department aside from Alpha-1 and Omega-1 on-site. To achieve this, they assign Liaisons to each department and MTF, whom department members can bring any concerns to which can be alleviated by said Liaison. In addition to this, if a department is struggling, Site Administration is able to step in to steer the department back in the right direction through any means deemed appropriate, up to and including the removal of CL4 staff.
Relation Supervision
While relations are the primarily the duty of the Department of External Affairs, Site Administration should still monitor them and ensure relations with the various Groups of Interest in the Pinewood region are not damaging to the Foundation or Site-65.
Administrative Duties
Site Administration has various miscellaneous duties which do not come under any one category, such as approving certain documents (internships, testing, etc) or authorising zone closure in the event of trainings or incidents.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
