Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
Yes, I have received some warnings and bans.
- I have received 7 (expired) RDM warnings for a variety of reasons, mainly for killing when I believed I had a valid RP reason to. Some of these warnings are detailed on forums appeals, and most are when I was newer to the server. Since my last RDM warning was received (which was the ban, about 2 months ago), I have changed my playstyle to lean more heavily towards roleplay and have changed my behavior.
- One RDM ban. This was a situation after I was already at a high class of RDM warnings, and killed a fellow O1 member right outside of bunks. I had killed them for pointing a gun at an ECM while they were disguised - they respawned, came back, pointed a gun at me again, and I shot them. This was a poor judgement, considering they were not trying to gain any advantage while having me under gunpoint. Here's the appeal for that.
- One MRDM ban that was fairly recent. This was completely unintentional and was the result of a bug - the appeal was accepted and the ban was reduced. Here's the appeal for that.
What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:I would love to be able to do more for the department as an Ambassador; as an Agent, I have far less ways to contribute to the department compared to an Ambassador position. I have greatly enjoyed writing documentation and investigating specific incidents, and I will be able to contribute far more to both investigations and tribunal cases as an Ambassador. In my eyes, the Legal Codex is essential in preserving roleplay on the server, considering its rules heavily encourage people to both talk and think before they start shooting.
In addition, I notice a lot of underperforming agents in the late nights and early UK mornings, considering the lack of Ambassadors that can tend to these times. Considering my US time zone, I want to be able to keep the image of the department solid during these times by both helping new agents and handling underperforming agents in times which most other Ambassadors are unavailable.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:Whenever possible, I heavily lean into roleplaying situations and improving the roleplay experience for other people. I regularly create comprehensive and (in my opinion) professionally-formatted documentation. I have recently been very active within the Internal Affairs Department, and plan on continuing my high activity if I am accepted for Ambassador. I generally abide by both the Foundation Legal Codex and Internal Affairs guidelines, and I am very willing to contribute more to enforcing these.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?:I've written a few documents; most are still confidential and IA leadership have them. However, here's a document template I wrote that I use for my IA documents: Link. Another example is my character lore document, which is included in this application.
Some elements that make a document good:
- Professional formatting. Formatting is one of the biggest elements of a good document. Good formatting can make the difference between a great document and an illegible one. I make an effort to have mostly in-universe and professional-looking formatting in my documents.
- In-character. Documents should make an effort to be in-character, refraining from using out-of-character information that is not explicitly marked. If you make a document using out-of-character information, it may not be admissible as evidence in specific cases.
- Correct grammar and spelling. This is a given; it makes your documents much more readable and more believable.
- Use of pictures. This goes hand and hand with professional formatting; it catches people's eye and makes the document much more pleasant to read. It adds extra visual information that is relevant to the subject and makes the document look more professional.
Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:The responsibilities of an Internal Affairs Ambassador in roleplay are:
- Train and assist new Internal Affairs Agents.
- Handling complex or sensitive situations, especially those involving Senior CL3 or CL4 legal codex violations.
- Organizing agents and giving them different taskings, such as manning Checkpoint Charlie during a C5.
- Ensuring agents are following and upholding the Foundation Legal Codex and Internal Affairs guidelines. This includes handling complaints or issues with agents.
- Leading and contributing to investigations and tribunals.
Lore.
Yes, there are a lot of redacted dates. This is only because the in-game year is redacted.
