Why are you applying for Security Captain?
As I've been there as a Security Officer, I would like to take the step further to Captain, evolving within the community and especially in GenSec.
I would like to assist the current Captains and Chiefs in managing the GenSec department, assigning people in posts in D-Block, making Riot Lisence and Heavy weapons Lisence tryouts, helping and teaching Cadets and Guards about Ethics and Conduct codes so they don't mess up during their duties and work properly.
My position as Captain would also help coordinating with other departments such as MTFs (examples: sending SCU to E-11 during code 5, sending SRU to Nu-7 during code 1).
Since I am part of the Head Hunters programm, I would also be able to help the trainees once I'm experienced with the job.
As the D-Block can be chaotic in their absence, I can be present in unusual times such as the morning or late night.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
First and foremost, I like teaching to new guys, their're new to the job and need guidance. Since I got the hang of the rules and procedures I can answer their questions easily and redirect them to the proper documents to help them learn further. I am a very patient and calm person, so it won't be a bother for me to teach the cadets and guards, especially during Lisences Tryouts. I have worked as a SRU and SCU decently enough to properly introduce people to these duties.
Secondly, I am also a focused and serious person. When guarding D-Block, things rarely escape my sight, and I will be able to transmit this ability to GenSec. Assigning people to positions that I believe are efficient to let no one escape, as well as teaching them how to properly extract D-Class out for research (or other needed duties), how to ethically terminate D-Class, how to arrest anyone breaking the code of Ethics and turning them to IA. Since I've participated in sweeps before, I will be able to orders them myself as well. Making sure everyone knows what to do and where to go, making us efficient in a short time.
Thirdly, communication. I use my radio very often to call out any problem, make situation reports, and remind GenSec to guard D-Block if they're not busy with other duties such as escorting or tryouts. Communication is the most important thing and I make good use of it, something I'll teach GenSec as well.
Last point, I've had my fair share of escort duties, I know how chaotic it can go. Fighting to get the D-Class for escorting and credits, breaches during tests, CI raids...
I will make sure everyone knows what to do in such cases, as cadets for example may start panicking or go hunt SCPs or CI for some reason.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
The Captain has multiple responsibilities such as :
- Managing the D-Block, assigning units to important positions such as airlocks and watchtower depending how many GenSec are present. Calling a Code 2 if necessary and preparing a sweep if it happens, coordinating everyone to act efficently, properly, and fast.
- Teaching cadets and guards on how to do their job, explaining what we expect from them and redirecting them to proper documents related, maximizing their learning rate.
- Punishing the rulebreakers, those who mess up so badly that action needs to be taken (For example a unit that keeps unethically terminating D-Class personnel). Arresting these units and giving them to IA for proper punishements, and eventully rolebanning them in extreme cases.
-Coordinating with other departments for various situations to gain time and efficiency, calling Combat Medics and Nu-7 for help during a sweep if GenSec is understaffed, preparing a D-Class for E-11 as soon as a SCP-106 breach is detected...
-Helping the Chiefs in managing the department overall, helping with administrative stuff and taking decisions to improve the quality of the department.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Chris Pulsar is a 26 years old man, born in France he joined the police forces when he was 18. Performing in excellence for 4 years, he has been accepted in the prestigious GIGN special forces. During an intervention when he was 24, him and his unit have been confronted to an anomalous object, everyone died but Chris has miraculously been saved by a MTF unit. Considering the situation and the combat experience Chris had, the Foundation offered Chris to join them. He accepted and joined in the GenSec department where he worked diligently as a cadet.
Over time, his experience allowed him to be promoted Guard, permitting him to attend the Riot Lisence training he passed easily. Everyday he would go help escorting scientists to various tests in Light Containment Zone, but thanks to his new Clearance, he was allowed to escort in tests Heavy Containment Zone.
After performing both duties of a Security Guard and Security Response Unit, Chris has been promoted to Officer. Due to his experience and knowledge, he started helping out the cadets to understand their duties and procedures. One day he saw a written annoucement that would change his life : the Head Hunters programm. A programm to help Officers to train their leadership skills, allowing them to rank up to Captain in the best conditions possible. Chris immediately applied and got accepted, since then he started working harder, sharpening his skills. After passing his Heavy Weapons Lisence, his dedication has been acknowledged by the higher ups, promoting Chris to Captain.
Chris was now a hard working Captain, a respected figure of leadership but also an excellent teacher for his subordinates.
