What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I think what makes me the best candidate currently for the role of Ethics Committee Assistant is my previous experience. I have been an Ethics Assistant twice now, and I have learnt a lot from my time serving the committee. Although I have taken a 7 month hiatus I still retain a lot of knowledge from the last time I was an Ethics Assistant. For the information I may have forgotten, I'm sure I can quickly relearn it all. Adding onto that, another good quality I have is being a quick learner. I can easily grasp onto new ideas and topics, as well as adapting to new procedures and policies. I take my responsibilities seriously, especially in roles that require discretion, fairness and professionalism. Lastly, I have a strong work drive. I power through things once I've started them, making sure I get them finished. I am confident that my prior experience and willingness to learn where necessary makes me a strong, if not one of the best candidate for the role of Ethics Committee Assistant.
I'd also like to become an Ethics Committee Assistant because I genuinely enjoy the story lines and contributing towards the Foundation. Additionally, I see this role as a tool to continue developing my leadership skills, as well as gaining more knowledge about the Ethics Committee and how they operate as a whole. Lastly, I have thorough passion for this server, and its members, and I want to use this position to help foster more exciting, immersive roleplay experiences.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The responsibilities of an Ethics Assistant include but are not limited to:
- Hosting Tribunals
As an Ethics Committee Assistant, you may be occasionally called upon to host, or assist in tribunals for Site Staff of Clearance Level 3 and below when needed.
- Carry out the requests of the Ethics Committee
One key duty of this position is to fulfil orders given to you by members of the Committee. Examples of this include: Relaying information to Site Staff in person, Collecting, documenting, and reporting relevant evidence, Auditing departments when necessary.
- Answering any Site Staff Questions/Concerns
You should act as a neutral, approachable point of contact for the Ethics Committee. This means providing accurate, appropriate information and relaying matters beyond your authority to the Ethics Committee. Doing so ensures that they are resolved, efficiently, professionally, and through the correct channels.
- Assist ISD
This position also entails that you should often collaborate with ISD, ensuring that the Foundation Legal Codex is upheld in an efficient and professional manner. This involves observing Site Staff activity, monitoring tests, and gathering evidence to report to ISD if need be.
- Organising an audit if necessary.
Rarely, if a department is performing under expectations, you may be tasked by the Committee to observe, acquire evidence, and report their work to be documented.
- Carrying out regular CL4 Duties
If not obvious already, an Ethics Committee Assistant should fulfil their regular Jr. CL4 duties.
- Authorising Advanced Armoury
When no Site Administration are available, an ECA may authorise Advanced Armoury to MTF NCO+ for things like SCP breaches.

Prior to working with the Foundation, Cody was a Private Investigator with a brilliant track record, who was hired specifically for high-profile, and high-stake cases. This continued for 8 consecutive years all the while Cody felt the pull for something greater. Luckily, Cody was approached a short while after, and was presented with a very intriguing job opportunity which also entailed leaving his current life behind. Cody took some time to think it over, but ultimately decided that he couldn't return to his previous life. Cody promptly returned to his house with strict instructions to pack one singular bag of his belongings and no more. From there he exited his house and sat down on a park bench where he was taken shortly after.
Once Cody arrived at Site-██, He was briefed on what was expected of him, and how to do his job. (MTF E-11 SGT) He then took a quiz, and passed with flying colours. However, it wasn't long before Cody found himself troubled with an unexpected turn of events. The tension that permeated Site-██ was gnawing at him from the inside out. When an unexpected SCP breach occurred at Site-██, Cody was one of many people who responded to attempt to reestablish containment of this anomaly.. The SCP in question that breached was SCP-106, a highly dangerous entity known for its corrosive effects, ability to phase through solid matter and send it's victims to it's 'pocket dimension' where they are often tortured before being killed. The situation quickly escalated as SCP-106 caused chaos across the facility, increasing his victims by the minute, leaving nothing behind but destruction. Despite Cody training to deal with this, he faced an unimaginable reality. Cody experienced the horrors of SCP-106 first hand and faced not only irreversible physical trauma, but mental trauma too.
Cody underwent physical and mental rehabilitation for 3 months following the breach of SCP-106, Despite the thorough recovery program, the damage was already done. In result, Cody was transferred to Site-██.
Here, the Ethics Committee offered him with a new position, which more aligned with his expertise. The transition to this role took months of training, and multiple tests which challenged his ability to think under pressure and push past his limit, But Cody eventually obtained the role of ECA.

Report: Emergency Authorisation for Cross-Testing

At approximately 7:15, I received an urgent directive from Ethics Committee Member ████████, requesting me to approve and oversee a Cross-Test of 2 highly dangerous SCPs. This request came directly from the Ethics Committee Member rather than a regular researcher due to the serious nature of the situation. This test's objective was to see if SCP-4820's anomalous ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue could withstand and recover from the highly caustic substance produced by SCP-075.
BRIEFING:

SCP-4820:
is an adult Filipino man, appearing to be 40-50 years of age. The object is able to rapidly regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue. These capabilities possess no known limit; SCP-4820 can even regrow appendages that have been completely severed. Regeneration time increases with the severity of the injury in question and the extent of the damage; minor incisions heal almost instantaneously, but extracted internal organs take several hours to regenerate. SCP-4820 does not appear to feel pain, and often fails to notice when it is injured.
SCP-075:
SCP-075 resembles a large snail 20 cm in length, 13 cm in width, and 15 cm in height, with a muscular foot resembling a six-fingered, clawed hand. SCP-075 is exceptionally heavy, with a mass of approximately 860 kg, a property that is not understood. Desiccation is the only known means of containing SCP-075, as it will enter a dormant state when nearly completely dry.
When not desiccated, SCP-075 moves at incredible speeds for its size and mass. It adopts the behavior of a predator, jumping at and drenching its prey in a highly caustic base solution secreted from pores on its foot. These secretions are more corrosive than any substance known to terrestrial science. Due to SCP-075's aggressive behavior when active, this compound cannot be harvested. No material completely resistant to its corrosive power has been found, however, Teflon can withstand SCP-075's caustic solution for a maximum of 15 minutes.
Test protocols:
SCP-075 & SCP-4820:
Both SCPs are to be placed in a specially modified containment chamber with reinforced walls capable of withstanding SCP-075's extreme physical strength, separated by a reinforced door for SCP-4820 to pass through.
This test will involve SCP-075 attacking SCP-4820 in a controlled manner, with SCP-4820's still attached finger inside of a triple-enforced Teflon bag to ensure it remains untouched by SCP-075's highly corrosive substance.
Testing Procedures:
SCP-075 will pass through the reinforced door and into SCP-4820's Containment Chamber. Upon entry, SCP-075 will be provoked to attack SCP-4820 in a controlled manner. SCP-075's corrosive secretions will be directed towards SCP-4820, with the primary focus being SCP-4820's finger.
Once SCP-4820 has finished secreting it's corrosive substance, A long aluminum rod will be lowered down into SCP-075's Containment Chamber to retrieve SCP-4820's finger.
From there, It will be placed in a separate Containment Chamber and monitored 24/7 for any advances in growth.
Outcome:
The cross-test went as planned, with what could've been a very serious breach. SCP-075's caustic solution was neglected, and almost caused a containment breach due to it taking 248 seconds to fully 'melt' SCP-4820, and it's caustic solution almost melting through its containment chamber. Fortunately, it's caustic solution was absorbed back up by SCP-075 and entered a dormant state, halting any more damage to its containment chamber.
Once the immediate threat had passed, SCP-4820's finger was retrieved, and taken separately to a different containment chamber, with him fully regrowing over the process of 2 months. SCP-4820 surprisingly retained full recollection of the events leading to his 'death', and didn't express any signs of motor or cognitive dysfunction.
This cross-test provided crucial data on the regenerative capabilities of SCP-4820. Though this test was successful, it revealed other possible dangers that could have taken place when handling SCP-075.

D-4654 had always been.. exceptional- for a D-class, anyways. 3 years after arriving at Site-██ , D-4654 had grown close to Site Staff around him through participating in numerous tests and short term D-class work programmes. His aptitude, and quick thinking did not go unn-a-anoticed.
Promptly after receeiving his D-class Trustee Uniform, Ethics Committee Assistant visited D-block, requesting a D-class of outstanding ethic, and classification Trustee to be volunteer, or be chosen. Although D-4654 did not volunteer, D-4654 was chosen by Ethics Assistant Cody from word of mouth by surrounding GENSEC. D-4654 was first given the choice to participate in this, to which D-4654 accepted. D-4654 then attended rigorous personality and mental health classes to ensure he was fit for the role.
After passing all of his classes relatively quickly, D-4654 found himself reassigned, stepping away from a jagged, uncertain life, to a new, controlled, uniform life. His new title, 'intern' carried more responsibility. Intern Jack was now a receptionist for the Ethics Committee. Answering inquiries and relaying information when naedeed.
As of 22/1/████, Jack Smith completed his internship, becoming a fully fledged receptionist for the Committee. Any upgrades regarding this will be entered into Jack Wheel Smith's personnel file.

Although D-4654 did not volunteer, D-4654 was chosen by Ethics Assistant Cody from word of mouth by surrounding GENSEC. D-4654 was first given the choice to participate in this, to which D-4654 accepted. D-4654 then attended rigorous personality and mental health classes to ensure he was fit for the role.
After passing all of his classes relatively quickly, D-4654 found himself reassigned, stepping away from a jagged, uncertain life, to a new, controlled, uniform life. As of 22/1/████, Jack Smith completed his internship, becoming a fully fledged receptionist for the Committee. Any upgrades regarding this will be entered into Jack Wheel Smith's personnel file.
