This is another "nothing" filled answer for what Clank is trying to pry from ECM candidates lately.

The application is average at best and you only give one answer to the OOC responsibilities which proves my next point, you don't know the role you are trying to apply for.

It is wise to discuss the app on the app so the people deciding upon it can see any discourse that occurs. Editing your application whilst it is up is not cheating nor has it ever been considered as such.

I'll share here what I talked to him about and what I know I missed. Its just how my asperger's brain considers it, this is a work around I suppose.

As for O1, my plans include orders and Rp scenarios crafted that include things such as:

Investigation (documents hand made for it, depending on the o1's involved the puzzled can be upped or lowered in difficulty)

(edit: There's already an Example of my ability to craft such mini events for them, as I planned wrote up and hosted an investigative based rp scenario around an encrypted document that mysteriously appeared in their bunks. Cythers, riddles and scavenger hunts. Along with leading to an interrogation of one of o1's majors and an ECA.)

Interrogation (POI orders, so on so fourth.)

Observation/espionage based rp (infiltration utilizing SPC disguise kit)

Possible missions planned for termination of specified SCP's (type greens and what not if deemed necessary through the cold not cruel mentality. If they pose a threat to humanity, and cannot be stopped or strapped, termination is necessary.

This also includes personal orders for cherry picked agents that revolve around their character stories and experiences, along with general ones. Overall though, considering how well run o1 is I dont see the need in intervening unless something terrible happens. Currently Burnout is an issue, something I know all too well. But if im accepted I'll work on bringing the spark back for them, currently all the event GM's such as Patel and Rell are doing Gods work in keeping Ethics afloat, and I commend their amazing efforts! I just want to aid in being a more permanent solution to it.

I know I missed out in duties about Authing mass terms on d-class (Used in instances such as mass info breaches, cases of multiple failed sweeps so on and so fourth).

I'm certain you can understand missing certain details, its hard not too when you stare at an application for hours on end panicking that you miss things. The OOC duties for instance, I likely missed a few things. But when you stated 'I dont understand the role', Im sorry but I have to disagree on that. It could be my wording in the application not sending you the signifiers that I do- but from how I wrote it I hit every point and I understand it well. If i've missed things, tell me, how am I supposed to learn otherwise? We learn from failure.

Alright I'll give you a breakdown since I have some time
"I'm Applying for the Ethics Committee Member position.

I like the creative freedom I get with being an ECM, along with creating scenarios other individuals can also enjoy. Along with that, unlike my prior experience I wish to achieve more this time round. Last time I didn't get the chance due to severe burnout kicking me in the head, and this time i'm certain I can achieve more. I want to offer more to all departments, from interesting investigations for ISD and 01, to intriguing anomalous entities for RSD to look into and develop things against."

You need to elaborate on this far more. What exactly is it you are looking to do and why does Ethics interest you so much? You need to ultimately understand what Ethics is there for. The Committee is in place to ensure the mission statement is kept intact from all aspects of the Foundation (Including the Overseers) as that is what they were secretly designed for. What about that core purpose gets you wanting to apply? Its all about the greater good no matter the cost. I had Malia kill my Chairman off prior to my departure as it was in line with keeping the Foundation safe, you need to make sure the application really shines in on that.

Admittedly I'm not the best at 'selling myself' in the bragging sort of way, not in any way if i'm being completely honest. That was evident by my last application and i'm well aware of it.To recap my prior statements, I have experience on ECM, yes, but not on the UK site. Both are similar yet incredibly different from a lore based perspective. From my time on that site i've gotten better with what people call 'socialization', so i'm not as much of an anxiety riddled mess. Those improvements are reflecting in terms of the development. I'm lenient, but if you abuse that you will be treated with a colder more blunt response and interaction by me. In comparison to my time on the US site where i was more of a pushover i've gained more of a backbone. What goes around comes around in its simplicity. The coldness to be an ECM is something im developing the cruel side can be there if i'm dealing with the right individual.

In terms of why i'd make a great ecm in other terms, I'll keep it simplified for the people who prefer less 'yappy' responses;

Excellent documentation along with expectation of decent to high standards, in terms of reports about incidents and requests that are being brought to the Ethics Committee. This could be the creation of a document specifically for an rp scenario (Such as an investigative rp scenario i've been crafting for o1 and anyone they wish to involve), or a proposal for a new research proposal to give to RSD.

Excellent RP capability, unless something incredibly unexpected occurs, I rarely break character and will tend to react to occurrences with the opinions of my character. This ensures that unless stated in an ooc manner, or unless its been deemed by admins or GM's that the occurrence isn't valid, my reactions and interactions are genuine.

Collaboration efforts, In all scenarios I do my best to ensure im not overstepping. I will however assist if its requested, if it of course isnt in combat as im primarily a non combative individual. For example, when it comes to ISD I usually allow them to handle arrests if they're around and witness it, if they need some assistance i will typically help."

Document this document that, thats not what creates good roleplay for those around you. Leaning into the true purpose of the Committee is what gives you and Omega-1 the proper tools to have fun. Sure a good document now and again can cement what you've done but it takes a lots more than that to be a CL5 RP Leader. You may have been CL5 on US but that does not reflect onto the quality of UK and whats been held to an acceptable standard before.

You do tick off the Primary Action part in the application which is good but you need to elaborate a bit more on some circumstances behind when that'd be appropriate.

I still would recommend looking over some of the links I posted above to try and help you understand what Ethics is actually for. One final point, Ethics is meant to overstep, that is there purpose. If they see something amiss they'll lunge in and nip the issue in the bud. The real challenge for other CL4 department leaders is either solving that issue or covering it up via some nefarious RP.

If you want anymore advice I am happy to reply further as I do seek to help potential ECMs fit into the role as I've been told Ethics/O1 isn't in the best of state currently.

I feel as though broda has said what I wanted to say but just 100 times better. From what I have heard from other people you don't seem to get what ethics do but thats from limited conversations. The links broda gave are stuff that really helped me in the past so if you are wanting to go for it I would give them a read. As always broda gives great advice so take it onboard and youll be fine.

Imo i don’t think you were a great ecm in the us, you did create great rp around you and were active but you always had a bad temper, you roleplay was mainly revolved around yourself and this didn’t really work out for most part. Like the final event when you left literally turned into a massrdm fiesta which was funny but on the uk this would be much different. This is only my opinion i won’t be -/+ supporting since times has changed. Goodluck with your app though!

Reading through the application, it's middling at best.

The "Best candidate" section does not contain much, documentation while useful should not be the first reason you present. Additionally I'd like to see some examples of the "RP capability" you claim, examples of Roleplay you have created and lead. The "collaboration" part feels like an additional trait used to pad it out slightly.

The "responsibilities in RP" section is at most a surface level analysis of what the Ethics Committee does in Roleplay, showing a gameplay understanding of what should be a more in-depth understanding. The links Broda provided are an excellent start, I'd also suggest The Foundation eats babies.
Additionally I'd like to see the apparatus section elaborated on, AA is missed for example, as you have been ECM on US I'd like to see that you know how the servers may differ in who can auth what.

The "responsibilities OOC" is one line and frankly leaves me worried if you did get accepted from this Application, as a member of Site Command and thus a Roleplay leader you are expected to do more then just appoint a few roles.

I'm presuming you mean both in and out of rp; as for in rp I will be working on developing different types of rp for you lads, some more personalised for specific individuals (depending on who wants it and who doesn't). But that is going to take more time to develop.

For the most part, you lads are incredibly organised and well run. There's no reasoning for me to step in unless you request me to, or unless you need some assistance with mediation between multiple individuals (or if another commander needs to be picked as for the ooc stoof, but that won't be for a long while). There's no need to fix something that isn't broken after all.

This is the same bad answer as another ECM answer for the O-1 question.

You should never count yourself out of assisting O-1 with RP at any point in time. You are quite literally an important figurehead in their loop of RP. Yes they can figure something out themselves and you can free yourself of any responsibility, but then I hope you can remember that you burnt out multiple RP leaders in that regiment just because you couldn't care creating anything for them. Being needed to be told to "step in" to assist with anything O-1/Ethics related is extremely lazy and gives off the energy of a big brother watching his siblings but just doing nothing except staying in his room not helping them with their homework or watching over them.

You should ask previous ECM members how they helped out O-1. Or what O-1 themselves want from an ECM. Because having an ECM stand around talking to other departments and not interacting with their own detail. You might aswell just go as an event character and not get the position.

You should really find out for yourself if everything is going smoothly for O-1 as you think it is.

The tree ideas you just gave out...This is just..what any SGT+ already does in O-1????
You need to think through and be creative with what you want to do with O-1..Unless they have degraded, they do all of those things in their sleep.

Just to sum it up. All of your ideas regarding O-1 so far, have either been..
1. Giving off the sound of you freeing yourself of any responsibility to them.
2. The orders/RP scenarios you'll "craft" for them, are things that a SGT+ literally gives out to the lower ranks in their regiment. You just sound lazy.
3. Literally telling them to deal with a code 5 and terminate a SCP..
4. You cant differentiate between an order from an Omega-1 CO, and a ECM. Seeing as how you want to be the one giving all the combative orders to an Omega-1 unit. Seeing as you are talking about infiltration and POI orders. The ECM tells the CO what they want if for some reason they are interested in a espionage or interrogation, then the CO tells what, and how it shall go as the CO's are the ones that are experts regarding hostile scenarios
5. The "document" dissapearence event just sounds lame and not even thought through. It can pretty much just be an event hosted by a TGM. This being an example of one of your ideas is just to put it bluntly, pathetic.

If this is what you came up with to get ECM in the US. I will be surprised if you get it here, the standards for ECM's will really have stooped low.

In fairness to Coral, the mass RDM fest was not her fault nor did she intend for that lol. It was a bunch of groups who had no idea what was happening taking sides.
