Why are you applying for Special Agent?
I am applying for Special Agent because I'm looking to progress inside DEA. Since I returned to the server I've been playing DEA a lot more then other roles; this has gotten me really interested in what I could do as a CL4 in the department. Additionally some other reasons I am applying is because overall I feel like there are some restrictions as a CL3 member, currently I don't believe that DEA is seen as a "roleplay department" a lot of people I have interacted with had implied that DEA is mostly combat, raiding CI, doing infiltrations, kidnapping CI, and making agreements. But really its more then that, recently I have been apart of operations inside of site such as interrogating members of staff, gathering evidence of treason as apart of a DEA subdivision. However during this I've noticed people getting surprised at our roleplay even sometimes trying to stop it but if I get the role of special agent I really want to show people that DEA isn't just RP with GOIs but we do a lot of investigations within the site.
Now onto some other things, as a CL3 RP is really constricted with other GOIs. For example as a Senior Agent let alone a normal Agent we can only allow MC&D in for selling. Now of course it makes sense for that, CL4 is a whitelisted role that should have more responsibility. But I want to be able to do more RP and involve CL3 in a lot more things, this will make their time playing a lot more enjoyable and also open up DEA to a lot more people who enjoy the diplomacy side of it rather then just simply people who flag onto DEA during a code 1 then flag back off when it ends, there is nothing wrong with it but it makes the image that DEA is just a CL4 department. I really want to change that and make DEA a great department that can get involved in a lot more RP.
Furthermore really Special Agent will just open a lot more opportunities into possibly moving onto Department Manager, since I started playing again I really just believe that DEA has likely been the most enjoyable RP I've done on this server yet and I have decided I would love to try progress into DEA Management at some point!
What makes you suitable for Special Agent?
First of all I involve myself in roleplay, Instead of limiting myself in what people expect of a Senior Agent I've created a lot of roleplay for others such as creating interrogations, gathered evidence of treason so that others can investigate it. That has been really fun and created a lot of engaging roleplay for other DEA.
Now onto some main points. First of all I have experience in diplomacy as a GOC Ambassador, I have made multiple agreements in the past with Foundation and CI including a large one, that being the Embassy/Liaison Office. Additionally I negotiated a peace treaty between CI and GOC ending in a neutral stand. During this time I was also training members of the UNGOC who were looking to become Attaches, that shows that I can train and deal with diplomats.
Next up during my time in Omega-1 I went to the rank of Lieutenant where I involved myself in a lot of investigations and created roleplay for a lot of our members. It was a really fun time in O-1 involving myself in RP and creating it for others. However I believed there was too much combat involved in what I was doing, that is one of the main reasons I then applied and moved to Site Administration. Because really I don't enjoy combat; I just want to create and involve myself in RP. That is why I believe I am perfect for the role, I will dedicate my time playing to create RP instead of just focusing on combat, going onto surface to die an endless amount of times! That's why I will focus on improving DEA through creating engaging roleplay for everyone in the department.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?
Well If I'm going to be honest I haven't written many documents in my short time in DEA, they have mostly been interview results, interrogation answers. Writing documents has never really been my thing I find it pretty difficult. However in GOC I have written over 10 documents about research and medical documents. But I believe a good document requires these things.
- A clear point, this is so that you get to the topic you want to prioritise.
- I'm not one for only caring about looks but lets be real you have to make the document look nice or most people don't care about it.
- You have to write to the point of the document, for example if its research you need to have that tone, such as being interested in the results. For medical I assume you would have to write a clear point and stay precise as is medicine. For DEA you have to be pretty strict, provide evidence for everything to create a clear case.
Now this was a pretty sad explanation but I have to be honest, writing documents is my worst trait I would say.
What are the responsibilities of the Special Agent in RP?
In RP as a member of CL4 it really depends on the scenario, now I will provide three different examples.
Number 1, an interrogation of a CL3 ISD Operative. You are joined by two Agents and a Senior Agent.
For this interrogation I will likely stand back and watch the Agents and Senior Agent handle it. I really want to open up the RP they do so what I can do is I can watch and assist them when needed, I don't want to aura farm and take over the RP, I don't think its fair as a CL4 who has already done this multiple times to steal their opportunity to show themselves and possibly find a reason to get promoted to Senior Agent, or for the Senior Agent to learn how to lead that RP and work with the two agents. That's my main focus, it's to create RP for others. Even if I am the one who found evidence for their FLC crimes I will ask in DEA comms if anybody is interested in questioning somebody and I will assist them where needed.
Number 2, an investigation of a Sr CL4 member of E-11. I am joined by two Agents and a Senior Agent.
There is a big difference in this, the person in question is a Sr CL4 member of staff. Of course I will still involve the Agents 100%, they can definitely gather evidence, question them. However for this I will need to partially lead the scenario, this is because a big difference is that I need to be present so that the Agents are allowed to question them. I will definitely try make the questions myself but like before I will still definitely involve myself so that I can lead this and make sure it goes well.
Number 3, a Research Test with the UNGOC, there are multiple DEA onsite.
Here lets say they want to have a test on 860, for this I will 100% need to lead the negotiations on this, approving a document and liaising with RSD. This is because its a larger roleplay scenario. Now I will bring in other DEA and SOP if they want to guard the test however this is a big scenario that needs CL4 approval from DEA and RSD. It's a really basic example but these are the rules I go by. Involve everyone even if it needs me to lead it for the entire scenario.
Even if its a 008 test I'll involve CL3 with E-11 approval, but they will get amnesticated!

First topic, Psychological Evaluation, it seems relatively clean, no clear problems with his psyche however there is one thing to note. He has been seen as a nuisance around certain people. We have done our own investigation on this note, we questioned a recipient of his anger problem. He was described as a "nuisance", "problem" and a "rude son of a #####" all noted from a Combat Medic. Other than that I see no issues with his anger.
For his Physical Examination he is extremely active, he keeps up with all standards according to regulations within the Department of External Affairs. No issues to note.
Lastly his ISD Record, no arrests as of now. However he has had multiple disturbances with a large number of members of staff. Please take that into account when you make your decision.
