Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?
I believe that the Department requires solid leadership. There's something in terms of a solid fist currently lacking in the Department. Somebody that's willing and crazy enough to do things out of the norm to create some out of the box scenarios for people to deal with. Furthermore, the department is in dire need of some reworks. As of current, a rework for the process of going up to Senior Agent and Special Agent is in the works with the rest of Management, alongside the constant ignoring of outside attempts to communicate with the Foundation. Furthermore, I am not too afraid in being a little menace in terms of relations. Personally, relations are there to change every now and then. Holding a constant state of relations tends to grow boring over a duration of time.

What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
Maturity aside, I believe that I hold enough experience when it comes to playing a CL4 position that I deem myself fit to be in the position of a Department Leader. I voice criticism where it is needed, I opt to make changes where they are required, see above for an example, and am always open for ideas that could improve the Department as a whole, or Operations to keep the normal Agent and Special Agents engaged for a longer time period.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
As the name says, the Director of External Affairs is the Department's Leader, crazy right? They are the go-to person when it comes to situations that can't be dealt with by the Managers or Special Agents of the department. They are the ones that oversee the department to its finest details and ensure that it runs as it should.

Furthermore, the Director is responsible for creating RP for the Department. Be it through means of creating Operations or story-lines for the Department, or by cooperating with other Regiments or Factions that include the Department in their story line. Along with that, joint-operations including GOC, any other Foundation Regiment/Department, or even foreign GOIs, can be hosted by the Director himself to ensure that a healthy relation is kept within the Foundation itself, along with outside factors.

That aside, they manage who is promoted and kept at the position of Manager. Ensuring that a high standard is kept within the senior Management team while also allowing Management themself an autonomous right to do as they please, so long as it does not hurt the Foundation or the Department, along with ordering Special Agents, or even Managers, to induct new agents should neither be openly volunteering to do just that.

Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Another day, another reason to spin the cylinder of a Revolver. Same shit, different day. Waking up at 5AM because the Insurgency has once again decided to raid the Foundation Site he was stationed in. Though today was different. Upon waking up, he was met with several high-ranking Mobile Task Forces Operatives come barging into his office, upon his arrival, to tell him that several Researchers, including the Director, had been taken hostage by the Insurgency.

Overcome with yet another reason to cosplay Kurt Cobain, he balls his fists and opens a line with the Insurgency. His rough, weathered voice barely audible through the other end, though he ends up bargaining a deal with the Insurgency. Two D-Class and an instance of 939 for the whole package. Better than nothing, he figures. So they meet at the usual spot. Just before a small, abandoned building in the woods to exchange the goods.

His rough, weathered facial appearance outshadows the fact that the rest of his appearance is well kept. Bar the missing ring finger. Either way, the Insurgent and Eisen exchange words briefly, before trading their goods with one another. Having agreed to be alone, but no safe passage, once Eisen had retrieved his piece of the bargain, the Researchers and the Director, he withdrew his reliable Glock 18 and began firing upon the Insurgent. Him having not expected the outcome, was shot at off-guard. The shots rang through the otherwise quiet forest, with Eisen returning, missing a 939 instance, yet the hostages in tow.

What of the Insurgent and the 939 instance you may think - Let's just say that there will be one less problem to deal with during breaches and raids.

It's only when he returned to the Site that he was called to the Site Director's office. Odd, given he usually tends to give his Advisors all the work. After a lengthy talk with the stern, white-haired man in a bright, red suit - Eisen left the office with a confused grin. He was called a forward, out of the box thinker and that the Director liked it. Yet the most surprising thing was that he was promoted to the rank of Director.

The new paygrade at least makes up for all the issues he's dealing with, that he's not got to splatter the walls of his bedroom with a new, scarlet color.

You show a good understanding of what the Director should do.

However, what you have put in the suitability section has let you down drastically. There is nothing of note there. You state you are open for ideas but you bring none to the table.

Bit of advice with this going forward, you should mention Operations and any incentives going for DEA currently. Hell, you just got the new Entrance Zone update and I am sure there is plenty of things you can do with all that new space you've got.

I know you got the qualities for this position Guts, but your application is letting you down and doesn't display what you can actually bring to the table.

Wish you the best of luck regardless!

I have a handful of Operations currently going for DEA, though due to wanting to avoid any sort of soft metagaming from the individuals that they are against, I am against mentioning them here, as one of them involves AIU.

I am however, all down to send you the details of the Operations should you opt to message me directly.

I do appreciate the feedback.

Is a great candidate for the position, however I would have to agree with Broda that there lacks some direction in your application, your lore could provide some in character storylines that you mention of exploring within your application. As a manager, it would be great to see what other reworks and the direction you'd want to take the direction in assuming you're accepted. You have the experience and clearly the drive.

Best of Luck,
Falcon

Quite active in-game and does contribute to RP, but this application does little to show what you would do as director apart from the expected duties, but still +support from me.
