What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:

First and foremost I want to be an Ethics Committee Assistant again so that I may create an enhance roleplay for everyone around the site. During my time in both CL3 and CL4 roles I have become more capable at RP and I wish to expand upon my current skillset further. I have created RP many times and I would like to continue to do so however with a less combat orientated approach. A few times when I have been a civilian I have become a Junior Assistant for the UN and during my time as that I would complete small tasks for GOC members as well as embarking on my own, I would go to different bases and interview members of both CI and foundation (PDF and military to me). Since I will be a liaison to other departments I would like to create and enhance the RP for said departments which I believe may set me apart from other applicants as I have a pretty good ability to create RP and I have already built a rapport with current department and regimental leaders which will allow me to implement these things with more ease.

Another reason that I believe that I am the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant is that due to my extensive experience in a plethora of roles I have an in depth knowledge of the site as a whole. I have experience in CL4 positions including ECA already so I am already aware and comfortable with how the role works. during my time in The Department of External Affairs I have built a strong backbone of knowledge on how basically everything in the site operates and my tenure as an ECA in the past has also contributed to this as well.

Furthermore as well as having extensive experience in other roles I also have experience as an Ethics Committee Assistant as I had touched on before. Due to this experience I am already aware of my duties and how the role itself functions which I believe makes me better than other applicants.

What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:

One of the core duties of an Ethics Committee Assistant is to carry out tasks that have been issued by either an ECM or the ECC. These tasks encompass a wide variety of tasks and duties which can include doing monthly reports on a department you are a liaison for, approving tests, watching departments to ensure that they are upholding their duties, upholding the foundation legal codex and other duties such as these. An ECA doing these tasks allow you to take pressure and lessen the work load from ECM's and due to us being less of a target we are able to roam the site with more freedom than an ECM would be able to.

As I touched on above a duty of an Ethics Committee Assistant is to ensure that The Foundation Legal Codex is being upheld by each and every department. The task of upholding the FLC in entails actively monitoring and verifying that all departments and personnel across the Foundation are in compliance with the established legal and ethical standards outlined in the Legal Codex. This is done to ensure that the site runs smoothly but also to ensure that members of Site 65 view the Ethics Committee as a sort of HR department that look out for the wellbeing of the site and the people that work in the site itself.

Another duty of an Ethics Committee Assistant is that if there is a critical situation in the site and either Three or more SCP's have breached or there is a mass escape of D-Class if they are the highest on site they are able to authorise AA (Advanced Armoury) or Mass Termination of D class personnel outside D block. It falls on the assistant to step in and try and save the site from chaos.

Furthermore, another responsibility of an ECA is to help maintain a strict oversight with in relation to the research department, this is to ensure that all tests conducted adhere to the correct procedure and that no researchers or guards that are escorting are violating any procedures outlined by the FLC or any similar document. . ECAs play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of research by reviewing proposals and monitoring tests conducted by all levels of research.

Additionally during an emergency (mainly a code 5) it is important that ECA's assist IA in escorting non-combative personnel to PW and the breach shelter and also to close the PW blast doors with enough notice to keep threats outside of PW a CS. It also may fall on an ECA to man the Advanced Armoury within the Security Sector to ensure that only authorised personnel are taking AA and that they are taking the right equipment to fight the current threat.

Another duty of An Ethics Committee Assistant is to gather evidence on CL4 individuals that break the FLC, they must gather as much evidence as possible, possibly in conjunction with IA or potentially other departments. Once they gave gathered the evidence they must present it before the committee so that the appropriate punishment may be handed out to the personnel found guilty of the FLC violations.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Dennid's story begins with a tumultuous and challenging upbringing. Born into adversity, Dennid confronted a series of hardships that shaped his character and fostered his resilience, propelling him forward with an unwavering determination to forge a more positive path.

At the age of 18, seeking to escape his broken home and yearning for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, Dennid joined the Irish military where he was recruited into the Army Ranger Wing where he embarked on a plethora of missions all over the world. During Dennid’s deployment in Liberia in the aftermath of the Second Liberian Civil War he embarked on many counter-terrorist operations as a United Nations Peacekeeper. Dennid’s fantastic reputation eventually caught the attention of the UN where after close observation of both combative skill and mental fortitude was contacted by the UN for a new opportunity.

After a brief introductory period Dennid was officially listed within the UNGOC as a private, this was his first foray into the anomalous world. After spending some time doing operations for the GOC he had continued the trend of having an exceptional reputation for being an excellent soldier, however there was resentment growing within about how the UNGOC operates. After gaining a lot of experience with anomalous objects and entities he became obsessed with learning more about anomalies and began to disagree with the UNGOC’s approach to dealing with said anomalies, this is when he began to pay a much closer eye to the Foundation and their approach to dealing with anomalies.

A few months down the line it seemed that the Foundation had somehow learned of Dennid’s interest in the organisation and he was offered a role within the Foundation’s Department of External Affairs due to his extensive knowledge of the GOC. Just like in previous organisations and regiments he rose through the ranks and found himself as an agency Manager. Dennid had now been a combatant for over 10 years and had recently found himself burnt out and in need of change. This is where the Ethics Committee came in, since joining the foundation Dennid had always had a good relationship with those within the Ethics Committee. Due to this good relationship he contacted them regarding a potential transfer as Dennid wanted to make a difference within the Foundation from a non-combative perspective.
