Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?
- I've dedicated most of my time on the server as medical personnel and I'm very familiar with the ins and outs and how everything operates. Because of my time and dedication to the department I feel like I'm ready to take the next step and become a lead in the department.
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
- My experience over my long time on the server makes me very suitable and experienced in how the medical department works. I have extensive knowledge of all of the procedures and trainings and have known and worked with everyone in the department for a long time in almost every role available. I feel as the new director of medicine I can help continue to bring great things to the medical department and help lighten the load for the other DOM by sharing the tasks in the background such as roster work and document work
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
- To me the role of DOM in RP is to help guide consultants and show them how they need to conduct themselves. They are also responsible for making sure people stick to the rules and procedures for how the department operates and set an example for how the whole department should act. Their duties also include the same things any doctor would need to do such as psych evals, prescriptions, surgeries and physical evals. They are the final say on any new policies being added or updating existing ones. They also handle relations between other departments to ensure medical is always being shown in a good light.
Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- [Before Foundation] Drake Orion who is a former special forces medic from a classified military unit within the US Marine corps. His unit was tasked with dealing with strange and supernatural forces linked to terrorism. It was through this work that he was eventually noticed and contacted for recruitment by RAISA to work on Site-65. Drake has a bit of a fascination with the occult and would be very eager to investigate any religious supernatural events going on. Some plans I have are for Drake to begin a collection of artifacts that may be of sinister origin and could lead to some fun RP or dangerous scenarios. Drake has a bit of a militaristic mindset from his background and will act as a bit of a commander when working within medical.
- [Since Foundation] Upon working for The Foundation Drake Orion has dedicated most of his time within the medical department as a combat medic. He's been getting used to his surroundings and learning how the foundation works. Now that he has acclimated he has become a consultant so he can use his knowledge to teach newer members of the medical department to be as effective as he was. He has found that he enjoys teaching new people new skills and believes that he could be a reliable asset towards the foundation as a new director of medicine. His search for the occult has lead him into some dark mysteries which he plans to explore further to see how they can benefit the foundation from a medical perspective.
