What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
"Best" candidate is always tough to say as there can always be someone better than yourself. However I feel like I'd make a good fit as Overseer Assistant as I'm someone who heavily enjoys to roleplay. I rarely step out of character, and when I do, I make it quite clear by either saying it or using the chats /ooc or /looc. Besides my love for roleplay, I would also consider myself to be quite active, currently being on the server for around 4-5 hours daily, depending on how much my life behind the screen allows me to spend on the server.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
To me the main responsibilities of Overseer Assistants is to form a sort of bridge between Foundation Staff and the Overseers, meaning that Foundation Staff would approach an Overseer Assistant first if they have complaints, reports or other subjects that would form an interest to the Overseers. Vice versa, Oveerseer Assistants represent the interests of the Overseers to Foundation Staff, acting in the Overseers place as they seem fit.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Before joining the Foundation
Born in 1984 in Anchorage, Alaska, Dylan had a mixed childhood. With his father being a retired military officer and his mother being a doctor, Dylan grew up with strict discipline and the love of life preservation.
After finishing school, Dylan enlisted in the military just like his father did. During his time there, Dylan proved time and time again that he is willing to do everything necessary to keep his team alive and out of unnecessary harm, a perfect harmony from his upbringing. He didn't always pull the trigger to kill his enemies, but rather incapacitate them so they could be brought in for interrogation. He only killed when the situation deemed it necessary to do so, such as his own life being on the line or that of his comrades.
This special way of doing things brought the attention of the Foundation upon him. After an interview with one of their representatives and a very special job offer, Dylan made the decision to put his character to good use for all of humanity.
In the Foundation
Starting as a mere Guard, Dylan quickly saw many flaws within. From fellow Guards giving D-Class unneccesary beatings to Researchers conducting "Tests" that don't follow a clear goal, Dylan decided enough is enough and he decided to join the Internal Security Department to ensure that the Legal Codex is always enforced, even if some might not like it being enforced. Dylan never really cared about who was conducting acts against the Legal Codex, seeing it as his duty to deal with those who deem the Codex beneath them. Though even with this goal in mind, Dylan didn't always make the arrests that others would have, instead he sat down with the individuals and gave them a second chance, observing them in the future to see if they uphold their promise.
Being in the Internal Security Deparment, Dylan has seen many things, some of those putting his own characteristics into question. But one thing was clear, he was doing this for the greater cause, to keep humanity safe from these anomalies that lie within the Foundation. With this constant goal in mind, Dylan leans his decisions on it, asking himself if an arrest will further the goals of the Foundation.
He is here to secure the knowledge within. Help to contain the many anomalies this world has to offer. And, most important to him, protect those who can't protect themself.
