I am applying for Executive Researcher for several reasons: firstly, I want to be a bigger part of the Research Department as a whole, helping researchers with tests, documents, funding needs, or anything of that sort.
Second, I would want to do RP with certain parts of the site that I either wouldn't have made as a specialist or wouldn't think of doing, for example, interacting with ISD more when a researcher gets arrested and will require further punishment or with other parts of the site.
Third, this position will give me more freedom in making certain tests or projects that could require more approval than usual or just more recognition; having a higher position is better for it, no?
Fourth, I want to bring attention to certain SCPs that could be researched way more, like SCP-1162, SCP-1025, and SCP-9875, mostly inanimate SCPs on my mind, but I could think of more SCPs that have RP potential that just aren't touched at all.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
For all I can remember, I am the longest-standing specialist, having been in the role for around a month or more, and I have been recognized as the most active specialist. I am also hardworking, managing a project with several tests that, although they could be better managed, still are active.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?:
I have not made any excellent graded documents yet, but I can certainly say that I will make one soon enough.
A document can be recognized as "excellent" when the document has analytical and detailed information with no blatant missing information, the text in the document has almost or not any spelling, grammar, or punctuation mistakes, the document has good use of subheadings and images, photos, or diagrams, and the information gained can be used later practically.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Executive researchers sign testing documents, approve testing or sampling or anything similar that would require executive approval, give out punishments to certain personnel based on their doings, approve chemical bounties within acceptable parameters, can give out reimbursement for said bounties, and much, much more.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Edward was transferred from another site to Site-65 at the Grand Opening. Choosing to start testing even while SCiPNet was down, he still chose to research, doing a test on SCP-1025 and seeing if the said SCP can be modified and if it will do anything, in which it did, and it worked. He decided to do more testing before choosing to join RCPT and, in the span of ~3 weeks, became an expert and earned a big amount of money.
In this period, he also chose to see if SCP-9875 can be copied, in which it can be copied, and it's very… dangerous to keep it without a good amount of supervision. Later, he decides to apply for a specialist and, after some time of waiting without any news, finally gets the job and decides to rejuvenate Project "Soulless" by doing a presentation at the monthly RSD meeting and bringing in the Medical Department to it (Sam 'Thug' Harim being the Medical's side of Project "Soulless").
He also decides to try and "terminate" SCP-682 in a sense by making SCP-682 forget all of his memories using a copy of SCP-9875. After RCPT is dissolved, he attends a crosstest between SCP-966 and SCP-008, where he promptly leaves after the slightest chance of the new instance escaping.
There is other lore that could be discussed, but I would want to reveal or expand on it later.
Edward was in Connors' storyline to some extent and is currently part of Laurence's storyline but can be in any that's brought up to him.
