Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?
I am applying for Chief for a number of reasons; firstly that it is the natural development of my Gensec career path but also for a small variety of others:

I have long held the sentiment that Gensec has an under explored RP element and I believe that in becoming Chief I could use the position to create RP amongst both the entry-level and CL4+ non-combat roles in the facility. To expand on that point: I would push to have a Class C Amnestics Clinic installed in Site-65's Medbay with the intention of Gensec Captains extracting D-Class from the Block and using it to 'reset' their 30-day contract period with the Foundation. It could operate similarly to the current fracture clinics and would also provide the Medical Staff with some additional RP options, as I personally believe their department has limited RP scenarios to play with.

I would also push to have a Gensec category added to the site Scipnet directory, as it currently does not have one. Once the space is established I would encourage Gensec Captain's to document their RP interactions ranging from Code 2s, Interviews, Interrogations, Research Escorts, Incident Reports etc. I would also encourage them to identify particularly characteristc D-Class personnel and add a profile page for them to the Scipnet system, complete with data on their criminal past and a mugshot. The most notable D-Class would have their mugshot and a brief description of what they did added to the Chief's office and D-Block corkboards, with the possibility of adding a corkboard inside the Block so that other D-Class can view it.

I would also like to consolidate all of the externally stored information and Gensec documentation into the CG SCP-RP Discord Server and archive it into a more legible format as I have observed that our data and information is currently stored across a large number of platforms which makes accessing it all quite tedious.

Finally, I am applying for the position of Chief as I believe the Gensec Captaincy has made a thorough and dedicated effort to improving the practices and standards of the department and that this effort has uplifted the department's reputation as of late. I would like to be in a position to give positive reinforcement and additional development to the Captaincy to ensure that this remains the case and the department does not suffer any decline.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:
One of the qualities that befits me for Chief of Security is my capacity to receive criticism, no matter how blunt it may be, and use it constructively for personal development. During the debrief of my recent Site Advisor Application I received the criticism that there is no observable evidence that my combat orientated leadership method would translate well during interactions with senior CL4+ personnel. To action this criticism I spent more time with senior CL4 personnel in RP and on voice comms to learn from them as an example of what is idealised by Site Command.

With this said; I am now confident that I have the capacity to wield a position of command amongst combat orientated personnel while also being able to engage diplomatically with senior non-combat personnel, which will be important should I receive the position of Chief as I will frequently be required to do both.

During my time as Captain I have also demonstrated a keen interest in the department-wide development of Gensec; adapting it's Code 2 sweep strategy, remastering it's RRT Handbook and retargetting it's RRT questionnaire at information that is more relevant to the RRT role. As a result of my effort I believe the training of RRTs is now more effective and I will endeavour to continue applying myself to the development of Gensec throughout my time as Chief.

What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?:
One of the responsibilities of the Chief of Security is to routinely assess their department for room for improvement, stagnation or malpractice and organise a management solution if any problems are found. An example of this would be ensuring that relevant training is constantly being provided to personnel who are expected to staff D-Block so that junior personnel do not develop bad practices or fall foul of the Code of Ethics. This scenario is a constant factor for Gensec as the natural progression for combat personnel is to move on from Gensec and join a Mobile Task Force, meaning that experienced personnel will leave the department and be replaced with inexperienced personnel, creating skill decay.

Department meetings and Q-and-A sessions with the Captains are also relevant to managing Gensec as it provides an opportunity for Captains to voice their opinions on the department's current procedures as well as give them an audience through which they can make new suggestions. If I were Chief it would be important to me that the Captain's have the confidence to voice their opinions and raise any conerns they have to me so that they never feel disengaged with the running of the department.

The Chief of Security also has a duty to be cooperative with Site Administration and Site Command, ensuring that their ability to observe the department externally remains as transparent as possible. This involves complying with any requests for information made of the Chief and for the Chief to be proactive in identifying things of interest and raising them up to Administration and Command for their inspection.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:
During the great D-Class uprising of August 2022, the Chaos Insurgency deep-raided Site-65 and armed almost all D-Class personnel with multiple Matador Rocket Launchers, Heavy Machine Guns and Energy Powered Rifles. Jeffrey Shekelstein was just a regular officer assigned to General Security at the time and answered the Code-2. Following an hour long battle to regain D-Block Jeffrey Shekelstein was critically wounded, suffering serious facial injuries and dismemberment. After days of intensive care and surgical procedures, Jeffrey awoke as a cybernetically enhanced human being with no prior memories.

Due to the loss of his past life through amnesia Shekelstein devoted himself to the only thing he knew - the Foundation that had saved his life when they could have discarded him. He made a persistent and loyal effort to improve what he called the Foundation's "Research Triangle" of Researchers > General Security > D-Class and this saw him to quickly rise to the rank of Captain. He now seeks to offer more of his time and dedication to the foundation by becoming the Chief of General Security.

Eidolon has written an exceptional application with a heavy focus on creating new RP, something all Cl4 positions should strive to have as their main priority.

He has a lot of ideas in mind which would likely change General Security for the better in the long term
