nopetoofastFor how long have you played on CG SCP:
Over 3 years, since roughly May 2023.Here's my VTime as of the 11th of May:

The recent gaps have been a combination of dedicating time to a personal project and being bummed about not getting a Site Advisor interview. I have recently freed up more time, which I would be happy to put towards creating roleplay as an Executive Researcher, since no-one else will take me, apparently.

- 13th July, 2023 - FailRP for hacking out SCPs as a Sr. Researcher.
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I'd like to learn more about progression in RSD and how things currently operate at the echelon above the normal level-locked roles. Historically speaking, RSD has never been my interest in particular, but everywhere else I've been interested in so far has either been too "second job"-ey or otherwise straight up won't take me - So I decided to start looking elsewhere to give a fair shot, and I feel it's time for me to grace RSD with my presence, whether that be for several months, or more likely, about 7 seconds. I want to create engaging and interesting RP that will somehow consistently and inadvertently lead to techies being infobreached about random stuff, and be genuinely flabbergasted when questioned about it.I think RSD has a negative image to the rest of the site, and I'd like to help with that by making it appear more fun. And if I facetank a few FailRP warnings along the way, that's fine, too. So long as people enjoyed themselves.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I'm a gummy worms extremist. My status as a mythical figure among the community will serve to generate intrigue in RSD and RSD accessories, which will drive considerable interest in the department until the time my WL is inevitably removed. I've heard that a lot of complaints people have about RSD is that there's never any CL4 around to help them, whether with testing authorisation or credits (the latter being the way new players to the server even progress in the first place), so I'm willing to lend a hand there, too.I am also exceedingly knowledgeable about about a smattering of random SCPs.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I haven't written any graded documents, however I have drafted one or two tests in the past that were not only eagerly approved by past DoRs, but incredibly well-received for the unique approach and the level of detail with which I covered all related areas. In particular, I remember an 096 test I wrote a few years ago, about testing to see whether hearing a spectrographic representation of 096's picture would trigger 096's anomalous effect. I explained in detail, the process by which the test would be prepared, how the test would be conducted, what the expectations were for the test's outcome, and why investigating this would be beneficial to the Foundation. I believe I still have the document in question saved if you wish to see it.
But generally, good documents & tests:
- Do interesting things with SCPs - Whether that's being creative with the SCP itself or the testing method in question
- Clearly convey how potential findings of the test could be beneficial to the Foundation in some way - Especially for unconventional ways that aren't immediately obvious
- The testing procedure and outcome is well-documented and of at least acceptable quality and intricacy, and the log reasonably exhaustive
- The document is reasonably legible and in many cases contains decent, relevant imagery to the topic
- The test creates good roleplay
- The document is not low-effort
- Safety & such is recommended, but ultimately optional. We're cartoon villains prioritising research over ethics
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
An Executive Researcher's most important responsibility is to authorise documents/tests, or if you lack the authority to do so for that specific test, enable the researcher to obtain the permission from the relevant authority/ies where applicable (Whether that be with ISD, the DoR, Ethics, O5 - Although follow the chain up, don't jump), as well as being able to talk about RSD in general with others - What's most important about this is accessibility. RSD is all about being information-rich.Additionally, as a Jr CL4 position, Executive Researchers are expected to create RP around the site, as well as other general Jr CL4 duties such as operation of the PW blast door (Or others on occasion) - Otherwise, an Executive:
- Grades documents
- Gives feedback, whether it be on a test idea, a document, just straight up an idea or even just the classic 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'
- Is a first point of contact for RSD and sometimes a representative of the department
- Auths credits for CL1/2 researchers
