Recent FearRP warn is because it was my first time getting kidnapped and I panicked during it. Have kept my nose clean since.

What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?

I have always had an interest in how the Ethics Committee operates and the effect they have on the server. Over the past couple months I have been playing the server regularly and as such I have been engaged in several storylines. I have also authored several documents such as the SEPCC, a document that promoted roleplay between Epsilon-11, Medical/Research staff, and the SCPs. I have always had an interest in being a member of the Ethics Committee and I believe that joining as an assistant will help better understand how they operate and what the role of the assistants are within the committee.

Some of the storylines I have engaged in include Sanguine working with Omega-1 as an informant, keeping tabs on how Alpha-1 could be negatively influencing or interfering with E-11 business, which ultimately culminated in a failed attempt on her life, and the hiding of her identity by Omega-1 and the Ethics Committee. One other storyline that I am actively engaging in is E-11 Overwatch, an AI system setup by Sanguine that coordinates info during breaches to assist E-11 and GOC when they QRF. Overwatch has evolved from a simple idea into a character of sorts with a personality and ambitions, having regular interactions within E-11, GOC, and some Site Staff that have access to it.

What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?

The primary responsibility for the Ethics Committee Assistant is to assist the EC in their day-to-day work. This involves providing Ethics approval for tests and representing Ethics Committee when they aren't available or when there are situations that don't directly pertain to the EC. They directly execute orders given to them by the Ethics Committee and they uphold the Foundation Legal Codex in being enforced alongside the help of Internal Security & Omega-1.

Some of the other duties they get up to include assisting Site Administration in some instances, activating FSL when needed, authorizing Advanced Armory if there are not higher members of Foundation staff on site, and being a contact person on site for general ethical issues.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Name: Emma Yoshida
Age: 30
Date of Birth: 1995
Height: 5'5", 168 cm
Birthplace: San Francisco, California.

Emma Yoshida is a second-generation Japanese American born in San Francisco, California. Her childhood was spent cultivating an interest in technology, seeing as how she grew up during the dot-com boom. She occupied her youth making websites on Web 1.0, getting a grasp on early versions of HTML. Spending her time in middle and high school focusing on business and politics classes, she'd pivot into Computer Science later on, eventually moving to enrol in the California Institute of Technology.

Her education was mostly spent becoming a professional developer, eventually graduating with a Masters in Computer Sciences and a minor in Technology Law and Ethics. She roamed around from job to job, eventually landing on a job at an organization called "Talk'r". The application boom of the 2010s had launched several startups into the forefront, and one of them was dedicated to making chatbots users can talk to on their phone. She was tasked with programming the bots, her infinite curiosity being piqued, and she would begin divesting her time in learning about Artificial Intelligences.

Emma would leave for Europe around 2021, pursuing another bachelor, this time in Artificial Intelligence at Universiteit Van Amsterdam. Pursuing courses in the ethics of AI and how European Law began shaping AI production. She would eventually graduate and join the board who were writing the EU AI Act into law, spending her time ensuring "Black Boxes" wouldn't generate during the creation of AI, and determining what is considered ethical usage for AIs in the work field.

Emma would eventually join the Foundation on January 10th, 2025. She would spend her time as a technician, focused on repairing logistical problems on the backend, alongside server maintenance. Eventually she would meet with an E-11 Command Sergeant, where she would put forth her first AIC, Overwatch. As ECA, Emma would pursue the AICs further, possibly learning about Cairo.aic and how the Foundation uses AICs, especially within an ethical purview. She would also serve as the Assistant to the Ethics Committee, helping bridge the gap between them and the rest of the Foundation.

Through all the time I've seen them on the server their main focus has always been RP. This player can adapt to all sorts of scenarios, and can make up roleplay segments spontaneously. I feel if given the chance to be ECA, they could do great things, and possibly go much further past just an assistant.

Throughout our interactions you've shown a great competency in playing out your characters as well as creating great roleplay. You've been doing great in all those aspects and your presence has been always enjoyable. Good luck on your application!

I'll definitely give some +Support

I have spent a lot of time playing together with Grace on E-11 and we had a lot of talks about their motivations to join ethics and I can, as an ECA myself, positively say that they fit the bill and would make a great Assistant.
