Why are you applying for Director of Internal Security?
I'm applying for Internal Security Director as it is one of the most fulfilling and balanced departments on the entire server. It combines combat with roleplay in a way to create an enjoyable loop for players. While most ISD pick or choose one way or the other, I would like to further push the department into a supporting role for either scenarios and help to further the work of it's previous Director's into making it self sufficient, capable and clearly defined in it's authority and expectations.
Being a Director also opens up a position for a new Inspector to come up to Commissioner and take over RP sects of the department like the Tactical Response Unit.
What makes you suitable for Director of Internal Security?:
I believe that I'm suitable for the position of Internal Security as I have a plethora of experience across my time on both the UK and US server both IC and OOC that can help to have a strong understanding of what works and doesn't as needed by the department's evolution. Which is something I would aim to help explain and show to newer CL4 players so that they can keep this experience as needed through their progression.
Additionally, I have a strong understanding of ISD overall and would aim to use this understanding to help continue pushing for the clarifications and further push for ISD's authority in the North American narrative as well as Site-65's narrative previously established.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Internal Security in RP?:
As the head of Internal Security, a Director is expected primarily to be capable in understanding and enforcing the FLC in it's entirety and making any changes to their department or necessary proposals for Site Admin+ as necessary for policies and Codex changes.
Outside of that, the Director is responsible for promotion of Commissioners to help delegation of workload from the top down of ISD, supervising and training these Commissioners to ensure that there's a healthy leadership, management and replacement if they were to leave.
Passive responsibilities of a DoISD are that they always be aiming to make improvements to ISD's operational procedures and documents to ensure that it's the most effective to a healthy department loop. This can also be done through communication and discussion with other departments, Site Administration or Foundation Command to tackle wide spread, internal or interdepartmental issues.
Ultimately, the Director is responsible for the Internal Security Department. They should ensure everything is running smoothly and advocate necessary changes where needed.
