For how long have you played on CG SCP: I apparently joined around 4 years ago, surprisingly, but I have been properly playing for around three weeks now.

Age: 21
In what country are you located?: United Kingdom
Time zone: BST
Character name(s): Lil Walter
Civilian name: Big Walter
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:N/A
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: Nope, fully clean record.
I have written 4 excellent-graded documents, co-signed with my long-term collaborator Half. An excellent document is immersive, original, and demonstrates both a strong understanding of SCP lore and thoughtful in-universe logic. It should include:
I think, altogether, the most important responsibility of being a higher-up in general, especially regarding the Research department, is to make sure everyone is having fun and actively engaging in the aspects of research they enjoy, and to try your best to facilitate that. If a researcher comes up to you with an idea that's out of the ordinary, you should make your best attempt to see what you can do for them. Never try to impede others' creativity.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Place of Birth: █████████ , United Kingdom
Department: Research
Clearance: CL 3
Background:
Dr Lil Walter began his Foundation career as a low-level behavioural researcher, known more for his eccentric and obsessive personality than for any meaningful breakthroughs. Quietly, however, Walter was running an unsanctioned side project in an unused containment chamber, Project HAMLET. The goal: to create hyper-coordinated, genetically altered hamsters capable of group-based tactical response and decision-making.
Project HAMLET began as a laughable laboratory curiosity: an experiment to test whether small mammal social structures could be harnessed for controlled, synchronised behaviour under extreme conditions. In retrospect, the project's name, an acronym Walter chose because he liked how it sounded, became an ironic footnote in his career.
The Foundation was unaware, until he tried to use them.
The Power Play:
Over six months, Walter trained his "Alpha Cohort" to respond to basic visual commands and even disrupt low-voltage electronics. Then, in an unrecorded experiment, he attempted to use the rodents to seize localised control of a secure research wing, disabling door access, overloading minor circuits, and issuing demands under the pretence of "proving viability."
It didn’t work. The rodents scattered. The power disruption was minimal. But the intent was clear, and damning.
Walter was immediately detained, interrogated, and considered for permanent demotion or amnestic treatment. Walter wasn’t spared because of any perceived brilliance; he was transferred to Site-65 because the site already housed several anomalies suspected of influencing coordinated behaviour, and the Ethics Committee believed his unique experience, however misused, could serve a containment purpose.
Post-HAMLET Era:
At Site-65, Walter underwent psychological evaluation and reconditioning, eventually earning back limited research privileges. Surprisingly, he adapted. Without the burden of secrecy, his work began to flourish in new directions, particularly in memetic behaviour theory, ethical risk management, and the anomalous influence of social organisms.
Though still quirky and distant, he became known for:
Current Role & Research Focus:
Walter attempts to manage ethically grey or behaviorally unpredictable anomalies, not because he’s morally clean, but because he knows what happens when you go too far. He actively attempts to curve Ethics, strives to write dangerous test proposals, and spearheads narrative-driven research arcs involving SCPs like 999, 035, 912, and others with influence over group dynamics or cognition.
There are rumours he still maintains a hidden “sanctuary” enclosure for a surviving HAMLET specimen, though no proof has ever surfaced.
Personality:
Hot-headed, dryly sarcastic, and deeply haunted by his own ambition. Walter now values control, discipline, and transparency, not because he always believes in them, but because he knows the cost of what happens without them. His loyalty to the Foundation isn’t perfect, but it’s real. And earned.

Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I'm applying for Executive Researcher because I am passionate about deepening the research department’s narrative and expanding the quality of in-character experiments. Through my efforts as a researcher through collaborative testing and immersive RP, I've consistently pushed for professionalism and creativity in the research department. As an Executive, I hope to apply my ideas and expectations at a departmental level. I want to help guide newer researchers, enforce standards, and develop ongoing research collaborations that enrich the department and the server as a whole. What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?
- I’ve written numerous high-quality research documents, continually striving to improve upon my previous work and experimenting with various formats.
- I collaborate well with others, always looking to involve others with my tests and attempting to scale them up to include others. I have taken an interest in cross-department collaborations and am actively pushing to create more scenarios where they can be applicable
- I actively assist newer researchers by offering guidance on test procedures, document writing, and SCP info. I’ve answered questions IC and OOC, helping raise the overall quality and professionalism of the research department.
- I’m active on the server, responsive to others, and regularly involved in the Research department activities. I’m prepared to invest the time expected of an Executive Researcher.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I have written 4 excellent-graded documents, co-signed with my long-term collaborator Half. An excellent document is immersive, original, and demonstrates both a strong understanding of SCP lore and thoughtful in-universe logic. It should include:
- Clear methodology
- Well-structured formatting
- Realistic results and conclusions that relate to events within the experiment
- Optional: diagrams, incident logs, related photographs and follow-up proposals
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?
- Oversee and assist researchers with document creation, experiment proposals, and proper test procedures.
- Ensure that researchers follow the server and Foundation protocol at all times, especially during SCP testing.
- Grade documents and provide feedback to help others improve.
- Maintain professionalism and act as a role model for new and existing researchers.
- Organise and approve large-scale or high-risk experiments.
- Maintain good relations with other departments and site administrators.

Without the burden of secrecy, his work began to flourish in new directions, particularly in memetic behaviour theory, ethical risk management, and the anomalous influence of social organisms.
Though still quirky and distant, he became known for:

- Refusing to work with genetically engineered creatures ever again (at least publicly)
