Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
After a very long time playing as Foundation personnel, and not enjoying the CI experience cause my poor hacking skills, i want to change the air and try something more focused on RP instead of fighting SCPs/CI 24/7
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
Formed by 108 different organizations to protect mankind, keeping paranormal threads secret and if possible destroying them. Prevent private organizations, such as SCP foundation, from gaining too much power for their own porpuses
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
- Physics: GOC main forces, focus on dealing with anomalies (investigate, capture, terminate). The division is subdivided into two teams, Assessment (investigate/observe) and Strike (capture/terminate)
- Psyche: GOC Ambassadors/Diplomatics, focus on keeping the peace between other paranormal communities
- Ptolemy: GOC Logistic department, research and development of new technologies and quartermaster who manages the coalition logistics such as weapons, food...
What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
GOC have five main missions:
-Survival: Must protect mankind from all parathreads
-Concealment: Keep the knowledge of parathreads secret to avoid panic in the civilian population
-Protect: Try to protect individuals, civilians or GOC members, not apply if in conflict with the missions above
-Destruction: Destroy all parathreads that are threatening mankind, no risks are to be taken
-Education: Expand the knowledge of parathreads, by studying the threads. Must not conflict with the missions above
Please explain The Seventh Occult War:
A group of German occultists in 1882 captured and destroyed a pure energy entity (LTE-0913-Ex-Machina), this entity was revered as a god by several Semitic tribes. The destruction of this energy entity resulted in a psychic backlash, causing nihilism feelings in the nearby sensitive subjects.
Many years later during WW2, nazi occultists known as Obskuracorps tried to use the remaining pure energy to complete a ritual called the "Rite of Solomon". GOC, at the time called Allied Occult Initiative, collaborate with SCP foundation to stop the Obskuracorps from completing the ritual.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
I think what makes GOC unique is that they are not a group aiming to abuse parathreads for their own benefit, but instead aim to destroy them to preserve mankind. Also thinking of 108 organizations cooperating into one big coalition (COG) to fight parathreads is just fascinating.
