What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of Ethics committee member. Here I just want to say that some people may say I've been gone a while and I should get a CL4 role before applying for a CL5 role again, and you are probably right. But the reason I'm applying now is that after dipping my feet back into the CL3 roles like IA and E-11 and re-interacting with the community once again I realised I have so much RP I want to give to all the players on the server.
So in short the reason I'm applying is because I want to create RP for all the people on the server, not just the foundation but all CI and U.N.G.O.C alike. It's why I joined O5 before and why I want to join Ethics now.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
I feel I am the best candidate for a multitude of reasons
As far as in game activity goes I always hold that at one of the core things being site command. No point in having the role if you don't use it to benefit others. I can be very active in game and on external communications.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
To live as an ECM is to live a lie. To everyone who isn't CL4 the committee is just Human resources really who are only there to ensure tests are ethical and D-Class are treated humanely.
However, their true role in the system is to ensure the O5 council stays above board in all that they do. They ensure O5 keeps their hands clean when dealing with foundation affairs and makes sure anything they do enact is to an Ethical standard. If they are not to these standards the committee will intervene and ‘Amend’ the situation whether it's by communication or bullets.
The EC also manages the ethical side of the FLC. They use IA for this as their ‘Enforcers’ so to speak which keep the everyday security or researcher accountable to the Legal codex. However if CL4 or high level personnel are found to be breaking the FLC then a tribunal can be held to determine if they are innocent or guilty.
The EC also produces monthly ethical reviews for each department, watching over the leads and possibly providing help if asked for it. These ethical reviews come out alongside the SA monthly reviews for each DPT.
The EC also being CL5 can call code blacks and organise the response to this along with SA/O5 to try to contain the breached anomaly. They can detonate the warhead if ERT fails and the breach will spread, resetting RP for the site. The EC can also call for mass termination of D-Class to prevent further chaos in the hectic time of a breach.
The EC along with Omega-1 may also perform spontaneous audits on a department or a specific office of a DPT to look for anything they shouldnt have. E.G Irrelevant or 'Minge' documents. Personnel files on the wrong people. In these audits they may ask people questions to ensure they are all even the CL4 staff are abiding to the FLC
The EC manages MTF Omega-1 who act as their bodyguards, The EC may issue orders to them to complete which can cover a wide field. Some of which may be kidnapping a high level FLC breaker. Whoever it may be. They also manage the ECA's, giving them tasks and orders to possibly source things for them or keep tabs on a person or group within the foundation that have come to their attention. And finally they also directly oversee internal affairs, The EC can also issue investigation orders to IA from the top down to keep a watch on people. They also ensure the department of IA is running effectively and smoothly.
Finally the EC manages 008 tests. Being the subject of human testing the EC will decide if the test falls within ‘Ethical’ bounds to perform. They get a plan for the test, debate it, then approve or deny. IF it's the case of approval they may send someone to monitor or watch personally. They also look over biological matter testing on 914 in the same principles of the 008 test method.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
The Ethics committee answers the applications of:
-Director of IA
-Ethics Committee members
-Ethics committee Assistants
They also decide on who will be promoted to the position of Omega-1 commander.
They may also in rare circumstances have to answer L1/L2 demotion appeals should they see fit to remove someone from a position.
