Why are you applying for Site Advisor?:
I am applying for Site Advisor to expand upon the scope of my character’s roleplay and the scenarios I can generate alongside the role, including Senior Game Master permissions. I have been in a plethora of roles in the past and Site Administration has been quite engaging in ground level roleplay which I do find the most enjoyable. Another reason is more so for ISDs sake, there are a ton of fresh and talented individuals ready to take the mantle of Director who will get the experience to eventually enter Site Administration or Foundation Command, it is the natural progression path for the server as well. I have loved my time in ISD and will always keep an eye on it going forward.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
I am suitable for Site Administration due to my ability in roleplay creation. I have extensive experience in creating on the spot storylines, engaging scenarios and most importantly, immersive roleplay. I have been the first SCP-UK player to hold both Chairman and O5-1 positions during my tenures and throughout those periods I demonstrated my ability to lead the roleplay environment on the server in my respective area. I have also demonstrated this with how Internal Security has grown and developed in my time as Director again, ranging from storylines, new policy and powers to having ISD be flooded with players on a daily basis due to the roleplay we provide as a department and the relaxed growth you can take during your time in ISD. I strive to ensure players know this isn’t a gmod job, this is something you can log into and have fun socializing, roleplaying or even taking part in combative scenarios. The unique position Site Administration offers are that of pushing this narrative to all regiments and departments, therefore creating a healthier and more sustainable roleplay environment. I have put this into practice with Internal Security during both tenures as Director, removing activity requirements but instead monitoring how the Clearance level four player base engages with roleplay and creating fun and new Operations. This is something we as a community need to re-engage with more and I am eager to return to Site Administration to help facilitate this with the existing team and take maximum advantage of Senior Game Master too.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Site Administration’s responsibilities have never been the same for too long. Firstly, they are the arbiter of Site-65 roleplay. Whilst Foundation Command are the overarching body that manages the Site Administration team, Site Admin are the ones who must ensure the roleplay being provided by all departments and regiments are up to a satisfactory level of quality. Alongside this, they can do employment hearings for those who are lacking in certain qualities or areas, which can also lead to the demotion of said player/character, varying on the circumstances of the situation.
Site Administration must liaise with their assigned department each month and act as a gateway or first port of call for any queries raised up towards the Site Command team. A liaison is also expected to not just exist as one, but to actively create roleplay aimed at the departments they’ve been assigned to. It is imperative that a Site Advisor not only liaises with the department/regiment they’ve been assigned to, but relay all issues to the rest of the Site Administration team so they can cohesively tackle the problem together.
The Directorship and Commander positions of Mobile Task Forces Nu-7/E-11 fall to the discretion of Site Administration, minus that of the Internal Security Director, to which The Ethics Committee deal with. However, this does not exclude said ISD Director from any punitive measures from the Site Administration team. Site Administration are expected to select competent applicants as their choices will affect the entire server, which I will argue till I am blue in the face that Site Administration in fact hold the most important position for server health and management rather than Foundation Command.
Also, it is expected that Site Administration are there to uphold and create new Site policies that help players navigate the roleplay environment in a more immersive manner. Policies aren’t just there to act as barriers but more so immersion tools to help you feel you are part of an actual Foundation facility when playing a character. Some policies are also implemented for server health reasons and assist departments in combative measures against hostile Groups of interest. During a hostile response from SCPs and/or GoIs raiding, they are expected to manage the emergency response and relay necessary information between departments. If necessary, move from Code 1/5 to a Code Black scenario, issuing effective orders to players to assist in the evacuation efforts for non-combatives. They also have the ability to dial the ERT phone but must follow the new guidelines set out by SSL.
To conclude, Site Administration has a tremendous level of responsibility, more so than Foundation Command in my personal opinion, but they also have the most power in determining where the roleplay environment goes within each respective server.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
