For how long have you played on CG SCP: Too long man Too long (9-10 Months now)
Age: 23
In what country are you located?: UK
Time zone: GMT
Character name(s): Heinrich (ECA), Rosswell (Consultant), Steele (A-1 CPT), Nexus (O-1 CPL), (few others i won't be naming cause thats a long AHH list)
Civilian name: David Berger
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-UK
Do you have a mic?: YES
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: A-1(former CPT "Steele"), O-1(former CPL "Nexus"), Nu-7(Old LCPL) & E-11 (Old PVT)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: -Fail RP for not listening to MTF e-11 as a researcher. A kick because I was stuck in a death loop. Fear RP because I didn't listen to CI whilst a gun was pointed at me (I think). Finally ARDM because I stabbed a few d-classes as a tech expert.
Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?
- I'm applying for the role of department manager for a multitude of reasons, the first and foremost being that I want to learn and understand the administrative sector a little bit more in depth before attempting to take my role in the server higher than what I had hoped to achieve. I'm also applying to extend my capabilities, hopefully within the server, and not just focus on the creation of RP elements. After an unfortunate interview, one of the interviewers told me that I would make an amazing DoM. I don't necessarily believe it, but I want to at least attempt an application before I raise my hopes up. I aim to apply for this position to address the character's past missteps and develop a more serious portrayal. Overall it's mainly to learn the administrative side as well as hopefully gain potential learning opportunities before I attempt to apply for a higher position.
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
- To sound like a broken record, I will repeat what I have previously stated in earlier applications. I have experience leading people; although it was as part of an MTF, it still counts as leadership experience. As a games master, I can create as well as lead roleplay for the player base, so I can bring attention to the medical bay when needed. I'm open to new ideas and willing to learn from my mistakes and take responsibility for my actions. I'm active on the server (I log in almost every day). Based on my real-life experience, I consider myself a friendly person; when I have grievances with others, I prefer to take a diplomatic approach and discuss the issues to resolve them. Overall I'm an active person; I've had quite a lot of CL4 experiences under my belt, and I am willing to change my "joke" character into a more serious one.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
- The role of a director of medicine within RP is similar to that of a consultant; however, the director is responsible for ensuring that the consultants are performing their duties correctly and acting as such. However, the directors of medicine must ensure that the consultants are performing their jobs correctly and behaving as expected. The DoMs actively participate in selecting their consultants, ensuring a thorough review and discussion of each candidate. However, directors of medicine are not exempt from doctors' duties. This includes treating patients with illnesses, fixing fractured bones, and performing physical or mental evaluations. Above all else, they serve as the heads and primary representatives of their department, meaning they are the individuals most associated with the medical department. Their words carry significant influence in relationships when discussing other departments. They are to maintain and keep up with the respected rosters as well as any documentation work that would need updating. They are also responsible for ensuring that everyone in their department receives sufficient time and encouragement to role-play in their assigned roles. They are to liaise with the site admin to ensure that any changes to regimental policies are up-to-date as well as changed if needed. Overall, the focus is on maintaining professionalism and effective communication within their department. Other responsibilities may include the following: Scheduling weekly meetings, issuing punishments when necessary and creating passive roleplay to maintain engagement.
Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-SCP-41247-R "The Visitor" File
First Anomalous (Non-Human) Dpt. Director: This would primarily serve as a means to finally break the mould of Roswell, as to finally break the mould for Roswell being a joke character. Here I'll have him finally understand that his position within the foundation has drastically changed, and so he'll need to adapt. He will adopt a different, more serious approach by keeping up with the paperwork and engaging in diplomatic conversations with E-11, apologising for his prior actions and expressing a desire to start anew. This would be the current plan but i am actively brianstorming ideas.
