Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications:
Yes, this is my first application for GM.
Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why (type /warnings in-game):
Only one warn; "Congratulations, you are not allowed to fire this weapon!"
Note: The weapon was given to me, I thought the Davy Crockett was a normal rocket launcher ( IT IS NOT, DONT SHOOT IT FOR YOUR SAKE! )
How many hours can you be on everyday: Around 6-8 hours a day. 10ish on weekends
Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community:
Yes, I do. I was a Senior Event Team member on Server X ( not named due to guidelines ), and Lead of Roleplay on ( Small ) Server Y ( Also not named due to guidelines )
Do you have any advanced skills that would benefit the GM team, such as PAC-3, dupes building, art creation and others? If yes, give us your best example of putting that skill into practice: Creative writing, Dramatic Orchestral Music Production, starting to improve on dupe building, and document writing ( Google Docs ). Anything else; I'd be more than happy to learn and put time into for becoming a GM.
Please list one RP Enhancement for a Foundation Department/MTF: Research & Medical would like to conduct a test on SCP 2295 and it's ability to heal limbs, regenerate and create cells, etc. I would make a Pac with chemical burns to allow SCP-2295 to do Medical RP in which 2295, and the players around would slowly watch as 2295 works on the burns, with burned skin slowly being replaced with Patchworks' fabric of life. The PAC would, over time through a PAC action, have the skin slowly recover itself to the base model!
--- Ambitious for PAC, but if I set my mind to it, it can be done.
Please list one RP Enhancement for a Non-Foundation Group:
GOC Training enhancement!
Enhancement: GOC would like to set up a training event for their players. I could create a dupe for GOC that would be an urban environment, such as a small town, neighborhood, or laboratory for GOC to practice breaching & clearing, Asset recovery, hostage rescues, and much more. This, in my mind, is kind of like a wargames dupe except only one faction. It would serve somewhat like a "Hogan's Alley" except for GOC, not the FBI.
Please list one Event idea for the United Nations Global Occult Coalition:
Event name: Stay on the line, for me!
Event:
IC: GOC receive a transcript of a 999 call to the Pinewood rangers about an anomalous happening in a small, rural town 50 miles north. The GOC deploy to the town, initially quiet. As they sweep the town, clues from survivors or items ( GM entities ) throughout the town lead them to a small hospital. As they come across said hospital with a small blood trail leading through the wide open sliding doors. When they reach the inside of the hospital, SCP-3199 instances would attack them with a small pack of 4-5 . After clearing the small hospital, they come across a lab within the hospital. Inside this lab is a singular researcher, bloodied and wounded, would attempt to talk with the GOC. Upon questioning the researcher, they find these instances were created by him via genetic engineering.
OOC:
- 3199 instances would be controlled by myself, or an assisting GM
- Packs of these creatures would either be NPCs or PAC 3
- Researcher would be played by me, Lead GM of the event
Possible Outcomes...
A - Negotiate with them, and surrender to the GOC ( Diplomatic ending )
B - Have one or two more NPCs spawned in ( perhaps by a second GM? ) for a 'final stance' ( Bleed out and die, ending )
C - Asset Termination, The researcher and the SCP instances are destroyed, and execute the researcher ( All good things must come to an end, ending )
D - Unique, unplanned ending. Solely unplanned, raw RP.
Please list one Event idea for the Chaos Insurgency:
Event name: Humani-terrorist ( Instead of Humanitarian.. this sounded better in my head )
Event:
IC: A bomb has been detonated within Pinewood. The Chaos Insurgency received the transmission moments later, and soon, CI had medical tents set up throughout Pinewood to aid the civilian populace. To uphold their name as the 'Pinewood Defense Force', CI has set up a perimeter and checkpoints throughout and around town for injured civilians and those seeking asylum. Is everyone who they seem? ( DEA undercover agent RP, too! )
OOC:
- An explosive instance will be set off, and civilian GM actors will be asking for help from CI ( Asking for 'PDF's assistance )
- Surface Combat will make the SCP foundation seem twisted, even though the civilians don't know PDF's true goals
Please list one Event idea for the SCP Foundation:
Event name: "Like Toy Soldiers"
Event:
IC: The Foundation recently was informed they were receiving a new crate via the trains in HCZ. Upon arrival, there is a single box that comes of the train. The box is (mis)labeled "Historical Figures". Sounds coming from the box prompts E-11 & Research to open the box and inspect it's contents. Inside, they find mini toy soldiers, like those. As soon as they open the box ( hopefully in LCZ ), the figures start attempting to patrol LCZ. These soldiers still believe that they are WW2, and are actively fighting in a war. These 'toys' ( played by me ), respond to their newfound environment with confusion, and believe they are deployed. If it is brought up that the war has come to an end, the soldiers will attempt to deny the war has ended, saying they were sent by their command. They use militaristic commands and phrases such as "Hold the line!" or try to radio in communications through a, plastic radio, which does not work correctly. These soldiers believe that they are transmitting messages back to their command, though their comms actually transmit over a foundation comms line, like CL1 comms. The soldiers are able to be interrogated, killed in interrogations, and listen to those with berets.
OOC:
- The box would be spawned in @ HCZ trains with myself hidden waiting for the /me to open the box
- Through /it's and PAC, I would use sounds of distant gunfire to make it sound like the soldiers were getting ready
- Toy soldiers would be played by me, and duplicates next to me either made with Pac 3 or assistance from other GMs.
- When soldiers transmit their comms, it goes through /CL1 comms, so the
Possible Outcomes:
A - A foundation member convinces the toy soldiers that they are command, and must return to their base ( The Box )
B - The soldiers attempt to eliminate the threat and turn hostile ( Low hp as they are small, low damage guns, easy fight for foundation. Mostly focusing on the RP ending though! )
Please list a Major Event or Map Change idea (Involving all sides and the entire server):
Event Name: Reporting live, Major Blizzard strikes Pinewood! ( Major event, not map change )
Event:
Civilian populace: 3 or MORE GMs assisting in acting, making calls to the Pinewood Rangers during a bad snowstorm about deafening clawing sound coming from their roofs, even though nothing should be up there. They are going to describe this noise as something along the lines of hooks or claws being dragged across the shingles of the house ( or nails on a chalkboard ). When the blizzard calms down, the 'Civilian' actors will report unnatural tracks outside their house (to be made with PAC) , like those of a dinosaur or creature they had never seen before.
Foundation: Foundation is around, E-11 and Research is hunting this SCP, looking to contain it. DEA, Nu-7, and AO are providing security to the Research and E-11 looking for clues as to what this SCP could be. Combat Medics have been requested to surface to provide emergency medical to foundation personnel and to ensure there is no biological matters that need to be attended to. ISD is supporting both in containment efforts and checking around for CI disguised as Foundation personnel. Foundation's objective is to contain the anomaly within town, and try to find the match designation to said anomaly. Upon finding out what the SCP is; they'd realize it matches the description of SCP-023.
GOC: GOC's PHYSICS and PSYCHE divisions are attempting to keep the peace in the area, as the PTOLEMY division makes an effort to assist the Foundation in containment efforts, in the end wanting SCP-023 to themself to study or destroy. The GOC are providing aid to Civilians, Foundation, and CI in an attempt to be the 'good guys' in this situation. GOC's goal here is to convince and/or obtain the anomaly within town via any means necessary ( and destroy it ). GOC's PSYCHE division will be able to research this anomaly ( SCP-023 ) once captured OR brough back into GOC's base.
CI: CI's main objective is to assist the Civilian populace, interrogate them, while simultaneously trying to rid the town of GOC and Foundation. The Chaos Insurgency is trying to obtain this anomaly, run tests, interviews, etc., with the anomaly for their personal gain. They will hopefully attempt to weaponize the SCPs found in which they could use to attack others. This would be a storyline of events IF CI was to successfully get an contain the SCP-023.
What & Why
What elements can make an event unenjoyable?:
Many elements can make an event enjoyable. Excessive combat, or RP behind closed doors is pretty annoying to the average GSD Cadet, though these are fairly common answers. I would say the thing that makes an event completely unenjoyable is lack of planning & lack of acting. It makes it really hard to get immersed if you cant feel what they are saying through their character. I also feel that RP behind close doors & restrictions make events unenjoyable. Personally, I understand a few clearance level-locked events here and there, but I feel that at LEAST 90% of events should allow just about anyone with a whitelist to come and participate instead of being hidden / locked down. So, even though my second answer may be generic, I feel it’s a fair element to include.
And finally, what do you wish to achieve by becoming a Gamemaster?: Typically when I am online, it is pretty rare to see an event happening. I want to change that by being the person who creates the RP on a larger scale than just "Interacting with others". I want to give players something to do @ 10-60 people on instead of just killing each other or doing 'just another SCP test'. I want to be able to assist those researchers doing tests in having more interactive RP, assist GSD with RP enhancements, and make the server a more playable, interactive, and immersive place to be on even during somewhat off hours. I am also very active during weekends, and still it's seldom that I get to see larger amounts of people interact with events as sometimes they are stuck behind closed doors. ( L4 doors, restricted areas, etc. )
